  1. Actually, you can be VERY precise with Brasso, removing just certain facial features with no permanent damage to the plastic. Details of this are in a thread on MCN.
  2. Admiral 4J to Lord *vader* : Sir, my fleet just arrived in your system, and are persuing at sublight to your coordinates. What are your orders?
  3. As soon as you take yours out of that Mon Calamari's you call an Admiral ;-)
  4. Wouldn't this be easier (and safer to the heads) to use Brasso?
  5. Admiral 4J to Lord *vader* : On my way, my lord. They've been nothing but beaten into the ground lately. They must've gotten a bad batch of deathsticks ;-) I don't know whether to laugh or sigh when I see their broadcast messages. And they even act as if a poor pilot with barely any force sensitivity can be a threat, when you slaughtered the best of the Jedi Masters with ease. "For every you slay, more will come to take his place" Well they must be late, since you slaughtered several thousand, and there has yet to be one Jedi to come challenge you since.
  6. Beautiful *wub* I didn't even know some of those existed... Good luck in the contest!
  7. So twenty-one fighters? An Imperial-Class Star Destroyer carries: And there are well over 25,000 Imperial Star Destroyers in the core fleet alone.
  8. The old trike makes more sense for hauling around stuff, most stable.
  9. Holy Megabloks that looks awesome 8-
  10. 1. The Empire has no Star Destroyer by that name. 2. That picture is clearly manipulated. 3. There's no way a couple of snubfighters could bring down a Star Destroyer. Next thing you'll tell us that a single A-wing can take down a Star Destroyed by itself! Next time you try to make things up to make yourselves feel significant, at least put some effort into it.
  11. Really nice! I love how accurately you captured it, but maybe make the guns a little more detailed, and the pictures a little smaller ;-) I may just have to borrow some of these techniques :-P
  12. That little exchange must have been made up (between our Lord *vader* and Emperor). How would you have heard it? From what you say, it was an enclosed room. There's no way he would have had knowledge of it, my lord. OOC: Guys, remember, try to keep in character. You didn't WATCH the movies, you lived in the Universe it created :-P
  13. Here Any idea why this would have popped up? And relation to the rumored UCS MF I wonder? ;-)
  14. Yeah, they're usually purchased for the accessories, which are nice. They fit wonderfully into MF hands, and really blow some of the Lego ones away (especially medieval weapons). Like I said, if anyone's interested, let me know. If not, I'd be glad to give a review when I get a set, though I'm not exactly sure if/where I should.

    Blue Marine

:-| This thread is about his MOC, I think we should keep it on topic ;-)
  16. So there's a guy I know who I purchased a few Oxford accessories from. Very nice guy, very easy to deal with. Anyway he recently mentioned that he has a friend over in Korea, who will try to get him some Oxford sets, and he asked me if I'd like any, and he'd ask his friend. I mentioned EB to him, and he's willing to do this for any and all members, but the thing is, there's no guarentee his friend over in Korea will be able to pull through for him. So in the meantime, I'd like everyone here who is interested in Oxford sets (high-quality bricks, great accessories) to post a "wish list" of the sets they'd like, and would be interested in buying if his friend comes through. I know this isn't technically Lego, but I know a few members have interest in the brand ;-) Anyway, here's his message: So go ahead As long as you are serious about buying them :-)
  17. So you're calling yourselves pregnant women and small children? I guess that isn't too far off...

    Blue Marine

Well, lego2000, at least he makes it from his imagination, instead of merely copying all his MOCs from other people ;-) It's not a bad start, and don't get discouraged. Everyone starts small, I can't wait to see the things you'll make in the future!

Ah! I have some picture of this ship saved to my computer :-P I had no idea you were a member here! I love the design (and I don't even want to know how much the parts must have cost you!) I love the designs, especially the way you work green in (my favorite color) ;-) I absolutely love this SHIP, not much more to say than that :-P
  20. But note that the Jedi used the very tactics of the Sith that they so bitterly put down. Anger. Aggression. Emotion. Trickery. These were the tools the Jedi used to claim victory. Just another case of Jedi hypocracy. "Do as I say, not as I do, or I'll slice you in half with my lightsaber"
  21. Wait, are they still offering them? I've always thought the S@H bags were bley...and I'm in dire need of 2xX grey bricks
  22. I think there WAS discussion...back when the whole issue came out. I remember partaking in a discussion with Mr. Phes about it, and from that came a large war thread :-P I'm just gonna continue to buy old grey from the second hand market until it runs out, and build castle with that. When I run out, I'll convert to tan and white. When that runs out I'll convert to black. And I'll just be building a lot more Space than Castle ;-)
  23. I love old space...but space is now in Bley territory. All that old grey belongs with Castle :'-(
  24. Well, it's still under warentee (3-year accidental), so repair cost nothing, that's also why I'm getting the new one for free. But since they're sending me a new one, I have to send them back the old one :-P
  25. So I have this laptop which I bought back in Feb '04 for school. I made sure that it was REALLY nice too, since I didn't intend on buying a new one any time soon after that. It's a Pavilion ZD 7000. Widescreen ('17), XP pro, 3.2 Ghz, etc. I need to find the specs, but it's NICE. Anyway, I also picked up a 3-year warentee for drops and accidental damage. In the last year, I've had to send it back a few times for the same problem. So it just started up again (a problem with the power). I called them for servicing, and half-way through, the woman (who's a head of repair or something) said that they're just gonna give me a brand new computer. They were just gonna fix it, but the woman just said that since my warentee is running out soon, she didn't want to see me left high and dry if it happened again. So they're giving me a new laptop (I believe it was a DV 9000). Same specs for the most part, except an upgraded video card, free DVD burner, upgraded dual core processor, more efficient battery, etc. It'll be here in two weeks, and she apologized for the delay :-D All I have to say is that I love HP, and strongly urge people to consider them when buying new computers
