G !! How hard is it to please you guys ?? Seriously, 4 MFs + Guns + nice parts for 10$ and you still complain :-| And there is nothing new we haven't seen from the first pics either !! Oh well, as a SW nerd (and proud to be may I add :-P ) I am sooooo excited by the january line up and I cannot wait to put my hands on those fantastic MF packs !!! Yeay !! Just to add one thing about the date: Jipay and I picked that date because May 1st is a holiday (and I believe not only in France) o it was a good way to have an easy extended week end !! I know that SW AFOLs do complain a lot about redesigns, but once again lets not forget that Lego is a toy aimed as small kids ;-) New kids that come to the wonderland of Lego SW are happy to have the iconic ship they never got previously ;-) Its a fantastic opportunity for them, anf for Lucas to make big $$$ in the process :-D I really don't mind redesigns because the models are way better and filled with exciting new figs so all I say is... BRING IT ON !! *yoda*

I totally agree with you: its all a matter of taste ;-) I totally dislike catapults and other ASD (annoying shooting mechanism - I love my new acronym loool), therefore I do not place them on my sets - end of story - no need to rant forever on such futile matters ;-) I really like Burps and Lurps, two part rocks, and what have you !! I even like those new planes ;-) I won't rant on that or new colours... My only rant would be on set sizes for city, but thats just a whole other debate :-P !! *yoda*

What a tough voting procedure here !! Seriously, these are the 3 themes I love best and by far !! Regarding City I had to go with the building crane even if I love the Airport !! Regarding Batman its really a hard one !! I have all these sets and I love them all !! Nonetheless I voted for the Asylum because its a perfect match between City and Batman !! That set can easilly be integrated in a "normal" city without any problems and you have a van + black bike !! Its the perfect combination and the best of both worlds !! Regarding SW its way harder !! I have them all (except the Tie X-1) and I think they are all FANTASTIC !! BTW TT, you should have included the Xwing fighter >:-) Since I had to vote, I went for the UCS AT-ST which is a true beauty that thrones proudly next to my RBR and other UCS goodies :-P !! Vote ON !! *yoda*

I totally do NOT agree with you guys !! Do not forget that Lego is...a TOY (wow, what a shocking news !!) and therefore, its just molded parts, some bigger than others !! meaning that per se every part is <insert that tiresome argument>. That term (i.e. juniorization) just came from the vivid imagination of some Grumpy always complaining AFOLs that can't accept any changes TLC is making !! I am sure the AFOL community (at least the always ranting one) could not even agree on a clear definition of what a <insert that tiresome argument> part would be (apart the obvious BURPs ...). Liking or not those bigger molded parts is just a totally other debate !! *yoda*

I really should unpin it since no one cares about it except Brickster :-| To answer your question it was a Clues game - a team of X persons entered a place to discover who killed Y and why (that sort of stuff). Lucky you Matt :-P I can't wait the end of the month !! I saw a truly beautifull movie called El Laberinto del Fauno (aka Pan's Labyrinth) directed by the genious Guillermo del Torro !! I really would encourage you to watch this beautifull adult fairytale taking place during the Spanish Civil War in 1944. Guillermo is definitly NOT a Francist: Capitan Vidal (played by Sergi Lopez) is a real fascist and vicious tortionary... That political aspect put aside, this movie is beautifull and fantastically played !! A little girl living with her sick mother (who will die in Labour) and step father will discover her true self !! I can't enter into details because it would ruin the magic of the movie. The imagery is superb and the creatures (the faun and fairies) are really well designed !! A definite must see !! *yoda*
