  1. Thanks for this Wonkyeye1! Glad to finally see some images of the sets, the shuttle looks really good, but I'm not sold on the wings (could just be me). The Final Duel set seems quite nice, but as people have said previously, the lack of OT stormtroopers is disappointing, but understandable. Will not be buying either of the Episode 1 sets, not that they're bad, just a personal hatred of the movie.
  2. Now that I think about it, Chewie and the two droids are probably not going to be included, they only just appeared in sets in the past year (but you know how repetitive TLG can be at times), but we can be almost certain that at least Luke, Leia and Han will be included, hopefully all with new Endor printing.
  3. I agree. Honestly the older version would have been fine with leg printing and maybe a slight change to the torso, without making it look like a panda. I hope we get Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, C-3PO, R2-D2, 2 scout troopers and maybe one or two endor rebels in the Tyderium set.
  4. This is pretty cool! I really like how you've done the front of it, looks very nicely made!
  5. Thanks for this Darth Punk, its good to see pricing for the sets. Assuming that the prices are correct, I would hope that the Final Duel comes with a decent amount of figures; remember that TLG isn't exactly known for placing only figures seen in the vehicle etc. in sets (I'm looking at you Palpatine!). The shuttle looks like a very good price if it lies somewhere between the original shuttles and the UCS. The flash speeder and starfighter are a bit overpriced, I would think something else is included with them (something to blow up and fly out of respectively).
  6. I bought a Shadow Troopers BP today, my first set in about 9 months! Its nice I guess.
  7. Thanks for this! Even though the rest of the list looks accurate, I'll take the Hoth Echo Base rumour with a pinch of salt mainly since its the only one not to have been given a set number. Saying that, I do like the idea of a new large Echo Base set to replace that god awful 2011 version! (Still dreaming of a Cloud City though....)
  8. There was a link to the Echo Base set? I must have missed it, can someone repost it please?
  9. Finally back and posting again after an 8 month dark age... Anyway, first things first, does no one else find it strange that the Yularen polybag refers to him as "Admiral" instead of "Colonel" as this was his rank with the ISB in ANH? Maybe it's just so that everyone recognises him more easily, but still....buying him anyway! The winter sets are ok I guess. I was disappointed to read that the Stormtrooper BP is Rebels based, although they aren't actually TOO bad. The Imperial officer in the TIE Advanced is a must for me as I just love the Impy officers for some reason! Won't be buying the AT-DP despite my love for the walker itself, and will be buying the Shadow Troopers BP. Otherwise, pretty cheap wave. However, the summer wave looks very promising so far! The Tyderium is my favourite so far (hopefully with new versions of Leia and Luke with the camo stuff on), and the Death Star Duel sounds good also. Hoping for a cheapish set with Luke, Vader, Palpy and maybe an officer or something (similar to the very old Final Duel 1 and 2 sets). The rumours of a UCS everything Echo Base/Cloud City/MF all sound awesome, but I'm hoping most for Cloud City, then we can finally get some updates to the old Bespin figures and add some new ones too! And finally, perhaps it would make sense that an AT-ST is released as part of the summer wave given that they featured prominently during the Battle of Endor, and we are getting at least 2 ROTJ sets already? Sorry for the massive post, and sorry again if you actually read it! Matthew
  10. Good choice. From what I hear, the motorised one is really good.
  11. Thank you for these. I did not realise it would be a Phase 2 Clone included with this, but who's complaining? Another plain clone is fine by me!
  12. It is easier to get used sets in the UK I guess. It is of course up to the person buying the item to make the choice between old and new, but between the two new sets I would go for ISD, not that I have anything against robot camels.
  13. I guess I could always just colour in the existing ones myself then <laugh>? On this point though, I noticed that the new imperial officer has actually been changed to one cylinder, which while not that noticeable to the average collector is something I find quite interesting. Also, I do hope for some named officers as well, my first choice being Moff Jerry (not going to try that spelling), as well as an updated version of Governor Tarkin.
  14. Let's put it this way, people would kill to get them all! Seriously though, it would probably be a sense of pride and accomplishment to own them all, as it is indeed an amazing thing to do (if not just quite expensive). On topic however, I bought a selection of random figures as well as some more Phase 1 CW troopers.
  15. I agree with this; buy an older AT-AT for a far better price and if you really want the new minifigures (which you don't seem to) then you can buy them separately. The only figures I would consider worth the purchase though are the Snowtrooper Commander (who is ranked Lieutenant) and General Veers.
  16. Good point, but not what I meant. I only meant that it would have been nicer for them to have included the new mold snowtrooper, especially when several of the other sets in the same wave contain the new snowtroopers. Its fine when the other sets in a wave don't contain a newer version of a minifigure since there is a low chance that consistency is going to be affected compared to this instance, where on top of drastically changing a figure they also continue to release the old one at the same time.
  17. I would have thought that myself had I not seen the pictures from the New York Toy Fair that showed the new design snowtrooper in the snowspeeder and AT-AT sets yet still the older version in the Advent Calendar. It could just be a mistake but it seems as if they may actually include the other version in the Calendar. Which is a pretty stupid thing to do if you ask me.
  18. I didn't see the officer in the trailer; must have overlooked him. He looks really cool though, and having him as a minifigure would be great! Speaking of imperial officers, I wish that TLG would vary the ranks on the officers a bit more, perhaps also changing the style too...
  19. Those hats are honestly one of the biggest highlights of the summer wave for me! I just think that it took too long for TLC to change the hat design to this style (in the same way that it took too long to change the torso of the officer).
  20. Finally found time to get some walls up and retake the pictures; feel free to comment and so on. Also, I was wondering if a base of this style can be applied to a larger range of people (e.g. Snowtroopers or Republic troopers) as I feel I might be more encouraged to get this done quickly if I know at the end it can be used more universally.
  21. Good question. I never used to have a particular way of buying Lego, as it was just a case of buying what I liked best, usually the ones with either the most or the best minifigures. Nowadays, I sort of have a habit of buying either only Republic or only Imperial sets depending on the wave (in the summer wave coming up it will of course be Imperial sets) but occasionally I'll still buy a set just because the minifig are cool!
  22. These pictures look as if they are screenshots from one of the Lego movies...no, better than that! Lighting always adds to Lego builds and these are no exception. My personal favourite is of course the ISD (Empire fan here!).
  23. Maybe they exist to guard his hologram? *sarcasm* Anyway, I haven't really said much on here in a while, so, are there any detailed pictures of the interiors of the AT-AT and the ISD? I've seen the cockpit for the giant robot camel but not the main body, nor the inside of the big triangle.
  24. Updated the interior once again to improve a couple of areas. Exterior wall foundAction has been built since I took these pictures but I didn't see it worthwhile to take new pictures. Hopefully my next Pick a Brick order will give me a hand in building up some real walls.
  25. 75037 Battle of Saleucami, which is honestly the best 'battle pack' Lego have made in terms of play features! This set should absolutely be the standard for all future battle packs (perhaps with more actual figures) and the price was fantastic as well (£14.98).
