  1. Burton never had Bat-nipples in his movies! He had BDSM, raping, seduction, incest and such but never Bat-nipples! SHUMACHER! *waving my fist in the direction of Hollywood* Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  2. Ladies and gentlemen! I have an announcement to make. This contest has been a big success and I sure hope that you enjoyed as much as I and my kind co-host WhiteFang, whom I cannot thank enough for his support and help. This contest brought us many awesome entries each and every of which was clere, funny, beautiful or everything at the same time. The winners deserved their prizes and I congratulate them again. But. I guess all those efforts that some of you put into your MOCs should be rewarded. So I decided to give some extra prizes to some of the entrants. Random LEGO Batman keychains go to: 1) Patriot720's Killer Croc's Killer Croc To my mind, this entry combined all those thgings that make a good MOC: clever and innovative design, feeling of action and an amusing scene in general. Well done! 2) SI-mocs' Enter: The Joker This one to my mind is a very neat-looking and very"clean" MOC. It shows the iconic scene of Bat-mythos with style and drama, carefully shown in plastic bricks. 3) Luxor V's Freeze's Freezer A very funny and at the same time awesome-looking MOC. On one hand it has lot's of details and colour in it, but it doesn't look messed up or unclear. Very neat and very stylish. 4) Oky's Joker's Funhouse Well, this MOC came one of the latest to the contest but the wait was worth it. A tall vig - is a very hard and often ugly-looking tricky thing to buil. But Oky managed to pull it out perfectly. A beautiful and almost "officially-looking" MOC. All those mebtioned above, please contact me via PM and give me the adresses you wish me to send prizes on. Actually to be frank, if it were in my power, I'd love to award each and every one of you with a prize. But unfortunately I can't. However should the administration be kind to me again and should the members wish it, perhaps it is not the last Batman contest I am allowed to sponsor and hold here, on EB. Once again, thank you Eurobricks staff for supporting my initiative and thank you, dear members, for showing such an interest in this project. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  3. I agree: out discussions here are not about winning or loosing. We're just sharing our opinions and thus feel united in our general love for Batman, no matter how we or directors see him. As for Knightfall, it would've been good to see it on screen but with certain alterations. Like def I hated everything which came right after it with all the parade of Batmans and so on, and it even blew me out of water for some time as well. However this series really helped me grow on Bane, since i never really considered him as one of the major villains. However the comic itself was rather good in my opinion. I also agree about Scarecrow. What I really like about the character is that his background suggests that he's a nerd, a geek and a bookworm pushed to the limit, abandoned by his friends, a person who hates himself for being him. Murpfy is way to handsome to make this impression. However to my taste he was one of the best characters in BB. How can you not love: @Dr. Crane is not here at the moment. If you wish to make an appointment....." What I would really like to see in Bat-movies is detective work. In my opinion no film actually showed that he's not only the godamn Batman, but also the World's greatest detective. I that matter Rocksteady games, indeed, came closer to that. And I sure hope to see Mad Hatter on screen. He's not the most popular character, but if we take Arkham Asylum: Serious Plave on Serious Earth version (a demented, twistedgenious and drunkard with a hints to being a pedohile), that may work. Agree. To my mind BTAS was actually the turning point for the entire Universe. Today it may not seem that dark, violent or deep as someone would like Batman to see, but it has all the nessasary elements for future projects. Sort of a golden standart.
  4. Just a quick remark before I return to checking the final tests ( Bat-geek is stronger in me that a responsible professor)< when speaking about plane I don't really mean the getaway, but just the entire operation. All the fight and it looks like as if you can easilly fly over big cities on a plane like that unregistered. In China. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  5. Actually Arnie got quite a blizzard storm of negative comments on this role. And even now some remember this as his possibly worst role ever. I remember it this way as well! I remember going back from a cinema after the film with only one thought: "WTF was that?!". Later however I turned my hatred to Shumacher. 12 year old? Do you seriously think that the target group for Batman films in modern times is 12 year olds? I don't really care what they think of it, since i\m mofre interested in having a conversation with mature adult people. Let me add just a few points. 1) Joker standing maskless on the street, then risking everything and killing his own men after telling them that the boss actually does that. How dumb should you be. 2) I'd watch how a school bus can breat a wall in the bank and then carefully go with a row of other clean buses. People in this area must be blind. 3) Joker says one joke: Maggie Gulinhaal is beautiful. 4) No connection of Joker and Batman whatsoever. Not even an attenmpt. 5) Dent doesn't make me feel anything towards him. Nor love, no hatred. 6) Realistic, you say? Plane getaway, cell phone survelliance, Two-Face.... etc. 7) The plot just doesn't look rigid at all. it seems like different writesrs were added to the film while its production. 8) Emotionless Batman. Captain Obvious as Alfred. 9) No music at all. Even Molussus from BB would've worked if repeated during the whole film rather than this. Try to start humming any theme from this movie. Even Shumacher's ones had it ok. 10) I need to go to a final test with my students. To be ciontinued, if you wish. Indeed. Meanwhile: Now, THAT is The Joker! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  6. In that case I have no other comments to make. I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing the series, since a different approach is always welcme, as long as the core stays the same. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  7. Exactly my thoughts. BR is still my number one Batman film, not just because of Penguin being there, but because the general atmosphere in the film is chilling (no pun intended! ) Even now after wathching this film for like 100 times the opening scene still looks awesome to me as in the first time. The film has its flaws like Penguin;'s speech, or Batmobile running loose, but generally it's one of the best and deepest, if I may say so, films for me. And I agree that for me BB is the second best non-animated film. But I strongly believe that Nolan should've stopped here. It would've been much better in my opinion to think of him as a ingenious director who was never given a chance to make more films rather than to see the downfall of quality of the series with every next film. If most of them are not, it doesn't make that a general rule. Again about Burton. In my opinion both of his films found a reasomable and "golden" balance between fans and wide audience. Batman who kills is a no,no, but Batmay, whos pain you can almost fell in the film, is a definite welcome! Remember the scene with Wayne bringing two roses to the crime scene. And now remember the brick-wall face of Bale. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  8. I still haven't heard from all the winners! Do it before the end of the week or I'll have to think about cancelling the shipment to you. Others are waiting because of you. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  9. I guess, you do have a point about Catwoman. But still I can hardly believe them including Katana. It's...... just wrong in my opinion. However, I sure hope that they'll make the show to be a good one. I'm just sooooo tired of wackiness of BB and The Batman. I hope Oky didn't hear the part about BB! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  10. I totally agree with Siegfried. I wouldn't be able to say it better. The point is not that I respect or do not respect Nolan's view on characters. Why, you call me a comic geek and indeed I am when it concerns Batman. So you really think that I can be intolerable to ANY version of Batman or his characters?! Batman is 70 years old! Can you imagine how many different incarnations he had? And any Batman fan is tolerant and used to different takes on characters. My point is that Nolan is a good (and perhaps a very good) director, but it does not mean he can take on any task. Batman is simply not his world. I hope you understand me. Burton lived in the demented Gotham reality. Heck, even Shumacher showed a bit of on-drugs insanity of it. Nolan failed. Not because he's a bad director, but simply because it's just not his. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  11. Glad to meet another reasonable person around! Well, I'm looking forward to it. Some LEGO Batman films on YouTube are just ingenious! You make it sound as if my only grudge against Nolan is that he never included me in them. I wouldn't really mind to have a look at all those villains that he picked up if they actually had something in them apart from names from Batman franchise. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  12. A good question, actually. I didn't quite get it: was it confirmed or just speculation? If it is speculation, I'm still thinking it may be catwoman and Dent! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  13. Well, thank you for bringing us this review. However I suppese better pictures would have been better. Do you think you can edit those or rather take new ones? Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  14. 2Zarkan My emoticon refered to the video, not some particular member. How ever I feel rather tempted to do it now. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  15. Oh, another beautiful review of another series of beautiful minifigs, WhiteFang! All of them are very useful, and is it me or they're getting better and better with every next wave? Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  16. And is it me or while saying ": You have my permission to die!" Bane actually sounds like Cad Bane? Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  17. Okay, am I the only one who thinks that everything we've seen and learned about this film is total um..... never mind? Bane looks terrible, Catwoman looks terrible. And the scene in the party is a definite spin-off from Batman Returns scene with Bruce and Selina. And a very weak one! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  18. Okay. I tend to think that something's wrong here. HOW COME I'M ALWAYS THE LAST ONE TO LEARN ABOUT INTERESTING THINGS?! Ok, what I see here. Professor Pyg is a definite welcome since such a maniac would be very cool to see portrayed in media. A persin who is so deranged to cut and tear his victims faces apart and sometimes even eat manflesh is a definite step forward for animated shows abot Bats. Such characters are very tricky to portray: one wrong, silly moment and nooone will care fore the character and thus like him. What I mean is the Jopker can have a huge variety of ways to behave, while characters like Pyg should stay on the same level, or noone will take seriously a man in a pig mask. SA lady with katana can be anyone, from Katana to Katwoman (get the joke? Oh, I'm hillarious today! ) In fact for some reason I tend to think she's the latter. If it is trulla Alfred then I don't like him. But I tend to think it may be even Harvey Dent. quite a different approach but a very interesting one. To the left of Pyg is either Mr. Toad (he appeared only in like 2-3 issues) or Killer Croc. So far i like the look of the character and should it be Toad a very welcome character for me. To his left is the character I'm least sure in. But it looks like it may be Harley Quinn in her Birds of Prey-ish style. A highly independent and less whacky character. That's it, guys. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) P.S. And it's since 2008, Oky!
  19. Gentlemen! I still haven't heard anything from GV357 and TooMuchCaffeine. Guys, you're holding me back with the shipment of the prizes to other winners as well! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  20. Congratulations to the winners! Well done! I feel very proud and glad that WhiteFang and I managed to give you so many positive emotions. All entries are simply great, and I sure hope that you enjoyed building them! I feel almost bad that I can't give out more prizes..... or can I? Stay tuned! P.S. Winners, please hurry up with your sending me the addresses! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  21. Happy birthday to one of our most talented members around! good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  22. Ouch! LEGO, I love to hate you and hate to love you! You're drilling quite a hole in my budget with those awesome new lines like Heroes or LotR! But, nah! Isn't it awesome?! I feel rather worried for Castle though, but taking into account that Kingdoms was (IMHO) a very weak line it's good to have it for a change. Not to mention new fleshie heads! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  23. Great review of a very good set! Thank you! Well, I'm not a huge fan of Man of Steel and Wonder Woman, but this set is definitely a very strong one. ) And I guess TLC should've said that it also included her Invisible Jet and doubled the price! Well, I sure hope to see more Metropolis-superman sets in future, as long as they don't get in the way of Gotham-Batman ones! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  24. I still have around 70+ more characters ready! And that's only in Bat-universe! Um, we did?! You know, ADHO, my love for minor Bat-villains! And we'll be free of accusations because noone will know them! Who wouldn't want to play as the Mad Stampman?! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) P.S. And I'm being serious. There is a villain with such a name!
  25. Well, ladies and gentlemen, that's it! I really appreciate your opinion on our game and am thrilled to see that most of you enjoyed the game! ADHO (out of modesty, no doubt) never mentioned that we started making the first drafts for the game as long as a year ago! And it was great fun! He was thinking over the details of the actions and abilities, I was making the characters physically as well as the scenery. It was a great experience making a game almost totally about Bat-villains and my co-host was really helpful in not letting me get too deep into Bat-universe, so that everyone could enjoy the game and not only hardcore fans! During the preparations I had to suffer going through all those tasks to see if they worked well. And (especially for Oky) I also failed the Vreeland mission! The process of choosing characters for the game was also fun, since we couldn't really decide which ones of almost 100 bat-characters I have we should pick up. ADHO voted for well-known ones, while I supported less-known characters. In the end it turned out pretty nicely, to my mind: we got a good balance of popular and less popular characters in the game. Here's a concept version of the game characters that we had around a year go: The process of creating the scenery was long and painful. The Iceberg Lounge was 4 big baseplates by size, so I had no other choice but to keep it in my room. But the biggest problem was that it was being ruined by my cat practically every day, so I had to rebuild parts of it for every next day. That is how it looked during most of the year: Later, I'm going to present the Iceberg lounge as a MOc in the Licensed forum, but initially it was designed specifically for the game. Foir the game I also had to create two other locations: the military base and GCPD rooftop. They were not used as intensively as I wanted them to, but oh well! Another thing what is worth mentioning is deaths scenes. ADHO used to text me, or just tell me via Skype about who I should kill or lynch and the fun started. The deepest and darkest corners of my Penguin sould rejoiced! It's also a shame that not everyone was killed the way i wanted. For example, The Ventroloquist was supposed to be drowned in the tilet and Clayface killed in the swower! I als had quite an interesting plot in mind as to how Penguin and Joker should behave should the Agents win. but we never had to use my emergency submarine for escape! Again, it was a pleasure working with and for you, ladies and gentlemen! A shame it all ended! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
