  1. The Penguin

    Hobbies

Well, quite an interesting topic! Always great to learn something new about your fellow-members. As for me, apart from LEGO and my work-relatred hobbies (such as torturing students and drinking their blood during sessions), I collect antiques and pieces of classical art. I just love classical theater and opera. I fancy reading books on psychiatry (not psychology). Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  2. Nice entry, hoiharry! Am I correct in thinking that you took inspiration from early HP computer games? As far as i recall such a hall was present there. If so - . Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  3. Thank you! ) Well, more to come soon! Thanks! Yep, Babydoll trned ot srprisingly good and Batgirl isindeed an overde fig. ) A bit, bt not more than Catwoman if you pt that mask on her googlesless ( )side. And she actually looks good when you remove the mask that way! As for babydoll the inspiration ame mostly from: So you have, so you have! Indeed. Well, still it's good to see that you, me and TLC look in the same direction! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  4. Wow, Oky! You outdone yourself! That is absolutely awesome! I may now even consider revising my general dislike for Marvel Universe! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  5. An average set, to my mind. Perhaps, it's DC fan speaking in me, but the set looks rather plain. Captain America is the only thing that attracts here, but not too much. The aliens look rather ugly to my taste. I'd get the set for the figs, but that's it. The review was great, however! And thanks for sharing it! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  6. Some decent funnies here! And, Oky, you're great! Some from me: Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  7. Thanks, ladies and gentlemen, for your comments! And here's a new batch! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  8. Well, I personally don't want the game to have too much of emphasis on Superman. Since most of the foes are still those of Batman (naturally!). But I agree for anything as long as the Penguin has a decent part in the plot! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  9. Nicely done! (Though usually I don't like decals and never use them. ) Do you actually apply your decals? Any chance to see it on an actual fig? Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  10. Nicely done, comrade! However, I'd recomend being a bit more careful with your paintjob. The lines could've been clearer, but that comes with practice! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  11. Simply outstanding! Very well done! I've always admired people with "micro-vision", since in most cases it's much harder to get the shape you need. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  12. Na-na-na-na-na-na-na- BATDUCK! Awesome MOC! It has that very 60-s look about it and the little story is quite fun as well. A worthy opponent for my Duckmobile! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  13. So what?! A gentleman can get rather lonely in Arkham. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  14. The penguin? THE PENGUIN?! Does it mean I'm there as well?! Aw! How sweeeeeeeet! Hopefully some sets for me then! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  15. WhiteFang, my dear fellow! You've done it again, sir! Another marvellous review of another marvellous minigig series! You've proved once again that you're indeed one of the best reviewers around! I can't wait to get my hands on those new figs! So many new Bat-characters! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  16. Outstanding! Simply stunning! The plants contrast very well with the gray and plain bank and road, so you did a great job! The way you made Ivy ride the vine is very clwver as well. ) Great tro see new Bat-entries, especially so well-done! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  17. Outstanding work, Oky! Simply splendid! Seriously, one of the best entries. Well, it seem s that you can make a great MOC no matter what theme you take. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  18. Hm? I don't really get why people hate to hear voices in LEGO games. Well, yes. TT LEGO games characters were mute before, but I frankly speaking started to get bored by those same jestures jokes that go from game to game. The voicing in the trailer sounds great so far and that will definitely make the game look like an actual story, not just several missions thrown together. As for Freeze, so far he looks just like his previouys incarnation. Which can mean two things: either we're getting a similar fig in the next wave, or getting no Freeze at all. For some reason, the second variant sounds more probable to me. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  19. Still no sign of Penguin..... Though the game looks rather decent now. I'll hold my judgement till the final release though. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  20. Now that's something I've been waiting for! Thanks a lot for making that wonderful review, COP! That is so far the only set I do not have, so I was rather thrilled to have a look at it and read what you think of it. The set indeed looks great and I don't even mind odd-looking HQ. The Riddler is a bit out of place to my taste and I would really love to see two Joker goons instead. Another thing that caught my eye is lack of assesories. I mean mostly such nice little things like bat-grapples, joker cards, HQ hammer, etc. In that matter older sets were much better, to my mind. They sure tried to add some fan-stuff like the fish which is a definite nod to The Laughing Fish BTAS episode, but overall the set lacks assesories for sure. The crowbar looks very much out of place here, unless you give it to Joker and leave him with Robin alone. (Unintentional nod to Death in the Family ark, where Joker beats Robin to death with a crowbar). And speaking of Robin, am I the only one who doesn't find his face good? The smug is just terrible and the scared (why scared? I'd rather have a pissed off version!) face is just too comical! However, I guess it's a matter of taste. Thanks again gor this review! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  21. Thank you for that nice review. I happen to own this set, so I could add something to what you have already said. And I'm afraid I can't really agree on every account with you. But I'll leave it for future, should I pull myself myself together and review it one day. Thanks again! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  22. Aw! You're too kind! for the jacket I'm using hard cloth, pretty much like the one TLC uses for capes. Thanks! Well, Jaffar is one of my earlier figs, so I guess, I could've made him better now, but I still have plenty ideas, thus no time for looking back! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  23. Thank you! ) Yep, you got it right. It's Lupin's head and Voldemort's (which should not surprise you since he's the root of all evil in HP world)! Thanks a lot! ) I'm pretty satisfired fith his fig myself as well. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  24. Those are all great, Oky! Waiting for more here and in Licensed thread! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
  25. I hereby declare this new thread to be the home for my movie and cartoon minifigures. I have already made some before, but now it's time to put them all in a separate thread! Aladdin and Jaffar. Ursula the Witch. And here's something for a start. A character from one of my most favourite childhood movie: "Hook"! Spielberg, you can't make bad movies! I hope you liked him! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
