Recently I can really sleep deep since my wIP MOC house is haunting me. It's not really dreaming, but a little bit of your brain thinking about it 24/7...
-
Less important bricks/parts by color, more important ones by type.
-
I've seen many hidden doors or moving parts built into this MOC. I was referring to that. Well it's maybe not unique but still a good start.
-
Hell yeah! That mosaic really does kick dat a$$!

I really love the vintage set feeling this has! You used some clever tricks there, good work!

Thanks!

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
mephistopheles replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Hi! My first build for Avalonia is done! I had to protect my settlement Woodward from a wild Werewolf: Topic: My link For the title Champion of Avalonia do I have to make a joust against another Knight or is slaying a Werewolf 1 on1 sufficient? -
I am sure this was either a criminal outcast werewolf or maybe not even a Nocturnian one. Anyway, that bone there belonged to a poor Avalonian woodcutter, so I claim my right to defend my land.

Hi! Rumors said that a beast is taking its victims near the village of Woodward in Avalonia. Lieutenant Faustus, a man of action, went out into the forest to search for the beast. He was just walking along an old path when suddenly Le Wild Werewolf appeared! See more on MOC pages: My link I don't know if slaying a Werewolf can replace a joust, but with this build I would like to apply for the title Champion of Avalonia. Lieutenant Faustus has shown great bravery by searching for Le Wild Werewolf alone and has shown his skills by defeating it. Also if someone expert on the matter could maybe add some blood to the slain werewolf, that would be really nice.

[WIP] My first Medieval House
mephistopheles replied to mephistopheles's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Meanwhile in Woodward Avalonia: And yet another time I have run out of building parts and am 1 paycheck away from another PAB or Bricklink order. -
Thanks! Strange that there is no regular saw.

Hi! Could someone experienced please provide me a list of all available LEGO tools? I know there is a hammer, a pitchfork, an axe... What else? Thanks in advance!

You should build more micro-scale because obviously you have huge potential. Very good work!!!

Excellent build! Really amazing!

Yeah. I mean 2 Orcs were in the Forest. So what? Maybe they were looking for herbs to cure their cousin. Anyway, I see you didn't like my humor so I stop this now.
-
Oh, hey there are Orcs. Let's kill them! Ask the Orcs how they feel about it. Anyway, I am just kidding.

Is this racist? It feels racist. Great scene, I almost laughed my megablocks off.

Thanks! I really appreciate your honest criticism. It helps a lot to get things done better. I totally agree with you on the difficulty of building detailed interiors. I often wish that the normal minifigs would be 20-30% larger, that would make it much easier. Then on the other hand I am currently trying to add a interior to a WIP MOC House and even when I try to keep things as small as possible I still feel like I have no space for it. Building a MOC House that looks good from the outside and has a nice, detailed interior seems to be one of the biggest challenges to me. On the other hand it is much fun to mess around with different approaches and ideas.

I made some modifications based on your comments: You can see Lord Mephisto of Woodward, Avalonia (my soon to be sigfig for GoH) using that bed.
-
Try to add more decorations that jump of the wall. For example you could add a brown tile below the windows that jump of the wall thus creating a windowsill. Or you could add a chimney to one of the sides of the house. This way it won't look so flat. You can insert 1x1 modified bricks with one stud on the side into the wall to attach all kind of stuff. My 2 cents.

I did lay a minifig in there and the length and width of the bed are totally fine. I agree that the head of the bed is a too thick though. Unfortunately it is not as simple as just removing a layer. I will try to rebuild that part and make the head of the bed more thin. Thank you guys for your constructive criticism as it helps me becoming a better builder. I am always open to suggestions to improve my works!

Even though I am not a big fan of the oriental style, I really like the skills you show in this MOC! Very well done!

Thanks guys! So here you go, I added some blankets and pillows to add some color.

Very inspirational build! Good job!

Hi all! Some of you might have already noticed that I am obsessed with building furniture. Here is another one. C&C is welcome, especially since I am not 100% satisfied with it yet. I love using headlight bricks with bars
