  1. is looking forward to build the settlement of Woodward in Avalonia.

  2. Thanks to all of you guys! @rogueang: You nailed it with the few pieces. Whenever I build something I either have to sacrifice an earlier build or have to figure out how I make it with the remaining few parts I have. Hopefully this will change soon, since I am continuously stocking up on parts via Bricklink and PAB. Until then I will have to keep my MOC's small.
  3. Hahaha!!! Team, team, team. I love saying this word: team! You think I have a picture of my family on my desk? No4 It's the A-Team!!! Subconsciousness might had played a part in my choice for his name here. Dude, I loved your comment. I have still tears in my eyes from all the laughing.
  4. Hell yeah! I see what you mean by "When I build a moc, I try to build the moc in a special way. I never build anything even, like a square castle that looks the same from each angle. I will always build something that will look like it 'flows somewhere' in the photo. So if i build a castle, I will build it up gradually from the front leading up to the back which will be the highest point. This works well for photographing and you can get a really epic picture when you take a 'mini-fig' perspective pic, as the castle will look like its progressing up into the distance." This is simply stunning.
  5. Nice build! I love the dock and the ships most, excellent!
  6. My entry for Lord High Executioner title: Topic
  7. Murdock was found guilty of stealing food from the food reserve in Woodward, Avalonia. The food reserve is important to get the people through the winter. By this pernicious deed Murdock risked the life of all of Woodward! The law of Woodward says that for such a crime the thief is sentenced to death by starvation. Murdock is chained so he can not reach the food and water in front of him. He will die a slow and painful death while being forced to watch how the food gets distributed to the poor at the end of the day. An elite guard is guarding him to avoid that somebody kills him out of pity. Think twice before you steal from the food reserve in Woodward! With this build I claim the title of Lord High Executioner!
  8. Can't wait to see your roof technique! I hope I will be a useful and productive member for the guild. I am planing to make another little scene for Lord High Executioner title soon and will try to build MOC's for each in-guild title.
  9. Interesting how different a MOC can look like depending from the angle you are looking at it. The first picture somehow didn't get me going, even though I really love your tree building technique. On the other hand, the 4th picture when you are "looking up" to the house from the ground is just wow! I can feel standing there actually. Awesome picture! I also like the last picture with the view from above. Now that I think of it, I had the same experience with my own MOC, namely that if I look at it from the side than it doesn't look dense enough, but from any other angle it is fine. I see you played along with the leaves so that if you are looking at the MOC from the side you won't see their edge only. This is very smart and I like it a lot. Still I would prefer a little more of this.
  10. I look for two things: 1. Building techniques I like. 2. Overall aesthetics. Not necessarily in that order.
  11. Sorry this upsets you. I'll try to use correct grammar and spelling in all my posts otherwise.
  12. Thanks! I'll keep building around my land Woodward and I also try to build Avalonian style. I'll try to achieve all the titles DC has announced on the front page. I think my first MOC for Avalonia, the Werewolf Encounter was a good start. Next I am going for the Lord High Executioner title.
  13. Haha! From what I read that dude has a horny face and the woman thinks "now I have do that to him again, arrgh". But now that you say it, yeah it can also be a shock face.
  14. Well done! But could please somebody update me or provide a link on how free builds and challenge entries are rated? Thanks!
  15. Simple but very elegant MOC. I like it a lot! Funny that the woman seems unhappy about his return.
  16. Sorry for being needy, but may I be listed along the Guild members? Also I am still waiting for an answer if my Woodward Werewolf encounter is enough for the title Champion of Avalonia, or do I have to build an explicit joust against a knight? Thanks for your time.
  17. Hello/szia! Thank you very much, yes I am planing to build a big village/town. /Köszi szépen, igen egy nagy falu építését tervezem/ I'll pm you.
  18. Thanks guys! I will have a hard time with the second floor. When looking at the house from the side I want to first layer of the second floor (basically the base) to be dark brown. However there is just a very limited choice of dark brown plates. Regarding the interior of the second floor. I want to do bunk beds there. Once this house will be ready it will be a soldiers quarter. Ground floor is kitchen with a servant + dining room, second floor is for sleeping and there will be a bell tower included to "ring the alarm" in case of any trouble. Well that is the plan right now. Out of practical reasons I might have to do the base for the second floor with reddish brown.
  19. We might have a very different view on how mortal human civilians looked like during the medieval age. Also our opinion on when the medieval era started and ended might differ a lot. I should have specified. Mea culpa. Please kindly show me these figures or provide me a link. I am new to LEGO therefore I don't know everything that has has seen release. What kind of figures should I collect for displaying civilian life in a medieval village?
  20. Hi! Am I the only one who misses any form of a civilian medieval figure from the minifig series? Unless you are an army builder the minifig series really won't give you anything. Here are some ideas Lego could have put in there: Peasant with Scythe Farmer with a little pig Any kind of Artisan with the respective tool (Carpenter, Woodcutter, The guy that makes barrels, etc.) Squire Am I the only one noticing and missing this?
  21. Thanks for the link! Kinda disappointing how few things they have
  22. Hi! I'll be in Munich around early May and would like to know if there is a PAB Wall in the Lego Store there? If yes, do they have everything as on the internet? How much does a small or large cup cost? Thanks for your time!
  23. Thanks! These trees look especially good when you look from any angle from above. They create a dense pine tree forest like look. Also you can carefully bend them a little. Unfortunately when looking straight into the MOC from the same level than the baseplate (I hope you get what I mean) than it looses much from it's density. I had only so many green parts, otherwise I would have tried to make the undergrowth a bit different.
  24. Meanwhile I've seen some other Hungarian guys around here and got to know the Hungarian LEGO scene better. Good to know there is a community for LEGO in Hungary.
