  1. they look great! I would love to see some more factions in the new castle line, but seeing as its fantasy era, the choices are limited. Oh yes, im happy with the knights, skeletons, drawfs, orcs, and (hopefully) elves, im hoping TLG will make up their own factions such as the forestmen again. Unfortunatlely i was not able to get the old castle sets.
  2. very cool! you know, about a week ago i noticed that the same colored hands on the same colored arms "stick out" but dont nesciceraly make the fig look "bad". Those arms and hands ideas actually inspired me to make a bunch of plain, all one color minifigs. I might post something about them here soon.
  3. An epic sea battle sounds great! Ill probably get the Troll Warship for Christmas... or maybe if i have a lot of cash from my summer job... My personel stuff aside, I wouldnt consider space a problem at all, not even baseplates. Think outside the box; it doesnt have to be baseplates for your surface. Just use a blue rug or table or something. or even better, for this instance, you could get a large, clear container (a fish tank, perhaps? even real fish could included!), fill it with wat+er, put a clear cover on, and there you go: a sea to put your ships on. you could also shake the container a little to create waves.
  4. uh, i know you are new here, but for future reference, this belongs in Towns and Trains forum. Anyways, pretty cool RV. Maybe this could be combined with the Indy Jungle duel to make an awesome campsite!
  5. Oh, thanks for the info, alot. But the part about the cannon just made me laugh lol. a noncannon is anything that is not a cannon.
  6. nice! welcome to EB, btw. I really like these! nice boxart, the design is great overall. I like the impulse alot. and, i can answer the question about the teal swords. two came with a really old technic set. there were 6 to 8 of the like i think in 1998, and it was the first form of bionicles. the green one (with the turquiose swords) was my first ever lego set. i still have the two katanas, and right now they are with my Pit minifig, if you browse a little around the Minifig customization forum, youll find it.
  7. one problem, when i do that from Brickshelf, an error message appears and says "Sorry, we [EB] do not accept img tags here." But when i do it from Flcikr, its fine. Any particular reason why this would happen? i would guess it has something to do with the URL... But thanks for the tutorial!
  8. hmm... my pics are bigger than yours, Sinner, but not huge IMO. So the question is, are mine okay?
  9. im sorry, but i have a noob question: what is cannon/ noncannon? sorry...
  10. Congrats on becoming the SW regulator! And thanks for making this new thread with ALL the pics in the first post. really makes things easy.
  11. ok, mines all set, and both the vig and the big are finished, and pics are taken. My vig is very simple: Its General Greivous when Count Dooku purposely crashed the generals ship when he was Kaleesh, and not a robot. Count Dooku did this to mortally wound the general, and pretend it was an accident, and help Grevious so he would be the droid general. My big is more interesting and comlicated: Its the battle of Jabiim when Obi Wan was thought to die there. Many jedi and padawans were involved and killed, as well as clones. The dispute was natural resources that the Seps were thrying to take. Now, some natives unwillingly agreed in order not to be killed, while others rebelled. it was a civil war, so the Jedi and Republic stepped in and tried to defeat the seps without losing the planet. Obi wan and Anakin were there, but Anakin thought Obi to be dead. so the remaining clones and jedi pulled out. This was also the time when ani learned to force choke. (The reference for both of these MOCs is the book Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide by Ryder Winham (great author who has done many Star Wars and Indiana Jones books) published in 2005
  12. yeah, thats what the article said... its right in the pic... anyways, thank you, simonjedi. What i dont understand is why did TLG give luke longer hair? i think the generic blonde hair looks fine, even if its supposed to be longer in the back. The long hair piece is split though, unlike lukes, which is just shaggy or something. maybe we could hope for a new hair piece?
  13. to me, trolls are the big brutes, and the orcs are the smaller warrior cousins, as said by Trudop561.
  14. nice figs, both of you guys! yeah, i think that anakins hair in black would really be great for harry in the 7th book! but i have to say, Matn, your Ron looks like he had one too many bottles of rum...
  15. great review. nice set for plants, huh? too bad i didnt get thus set... but luckily my neighbor did! that griffin is nice for castle MOCs, and that orange head (pumpkin, i know) seems rare to me. not much else to say...
  16. great work, mutley777! that ion cannon must have been hard work, as well as the generator. The door is nice, and im guessing you have 2 hoth sets? Maybe you could add trenches and soliders of both sides, as well as some snowspeeders and an AT-AT?
  17. Butcher to Annix: Alright keep track of that blip. [All three ships plunged beneath the thick clouds of Utapau. They sighted the unique architecture of the inhabitants; sinkhole cities with small rock buildings and landing strips jutting out into huge canyons.] Butcher to all: I cant spot anything, is the ship still on your radar, Moda? "No, the signals dead. The only vehicles on my radar are public transport..." he replied. "Damn, search the area, fly low over the sinkholes."
  18. hm... its yard sale season, so ill have to check some out, but its never really anything good; just cothing and junk.
  19. wow, very good, TheBrickster! Lots of time, bricks and effort make it a greAat creation. Its really nice to see all of those adventure based sets in one place. I didnt even know LEGO made jurassic park. (call me a noob...) Im also glad its not all forest. The airstrip is a nice addition, and the temple adds mystery. The big hole in the middle on a blue surface to make a river was pretty clever, and the congo statues teeth were cool as well. Over all, awesome work, and the best part is, its WIP. EDIT: aw too bad you took it down, but at least youll be making other great creations in the future.
  20. Butcher to Thok: Thok? Thok! do you read me?!? <static>... we have to go help him out! return to the gunship, Annix!
  21. {Over comlink} Butcher to all: alright guys lets get him! hes about 4 miles ahead of us, ive got him on my charts. Switch all boosters to full speed dead ahead. Butcher to R9 (astromech): R9, ready the small lasers. Butcher to all: wait until he heads for a planet, then hit his wings in the atmosphere. {The culprit heads for a nearby planet. R9 confirms that it is the planet Utapau. Butcher to all: hes heading for Utapau! set your targets on him! {Butcher aims and fires at the wings of the small fighter, but misses as the vehicle is lost from sight in the atmosphere. Just then, about a dozen vulture droids come from utapau and open fire at the three fighters. Butcher and Annix easily dodged the lasers, but the Gunship was too slow and got hit in the hull. Butcher to all: Retreat! land on Utapau and get to saftey!
  22. Awesome! i like both versions very much. Lots of vegetaion goes a long way for creations such as this. The log cabins are very nice as well. The waterwhell is great. Also, i wish you could have incorporated the pine trees in this one, but i guess they both have their advantages and disadvantages. And the goblins... i dont remember seeing those before. are they custom or just an old mold?
  23. sorry, i fail to see much of a difference. im guessing it was a slight mold mistake, causing yours to have a slightly pointier nose. But for the most part, they look the same.
  24. i posted mine too in the entry thread. Im actually aiming for the idea, and not the MOC.
  25. Heres mine: Indiana Jones and the Quest of the Gods I told you a bit about this on the disscusion thread, but heres the main idea: Indy and Mutt are in a race with the Soviets to get three Greek and Roman mythology based artifacts. Legend says that bringing all three together in a shire in Athens will awaken the gods and give the waker unlimited life and power, so Indy and Mutt cant let the Soviets get that. Indy and Mutt find out the three locations and the three artifacts: The Trident of Posiden in Atlantis (which the Soviets find first), The Lightning of Zues in the Pindos Moutains (Indy and Mutt got it), and the Staff of Hades inside Pompeii in Rome (Indy and Mutt got it, but the Soviets stole it when they tried to return it to the pedastel). Indy and Mutt try to return the staff of Hades to the pedastel only to be met by Soviets and a brotherhood who wants god powers. (I didnt intend for the guy in the black to look like Jesus.) The Soviets also took the lightning of Zues. Without figs. The landscape is crubling white stone with unattended plants popping out through the cracks. i wonder who that is?? so the story ends like this: All three artifacts are placed in the pedastel. The whole place is overwhelmed by the elements of lightning, water, and fire. The soviets and brotherhood are all killed, and Indy and Mutt barely escape. Indy comes to the conclusion that the god Athena didnt want for the gods to rule again, and the humans shouldnt have god powers. ..so how was it? Comments are welcome in the disscusssion thread! EDIT: oops four pics. had to take the machine gun truck out anyways because that would make 11 figs.
