  2. Sure, that's fine. You assume correctly. We are building a house, not a shop. Obviously you can't edit what other people have done, so you may want to try to make your part match, or not. Any creative ideas or scenes that fit the theme of a 'house' are welcome. No problem. Certainly!
  3. As I said, you should stick to the theme we've chosen: Town. General Grievous is not commonplace in this kind of model. It is a house, remember, not a café. Yes, that's right. I recommend using the Bricklink database to see if the part can be purchased in the colour you choose.
  4. Okay. All the places have been filled and I have finished my part. The model now stands at Step 3 with CorneliusMurdock. Links to the LXF files and pictures at each stage can be found in the first post.
  5. I'll start work on it soon. Have a look.
  6. I think he was referring to Gile's awful grammar, not his birthday. You could use some capital letters too.
  7. Thanks, Superkalle. There's one spot left.
  8. Hello everyone. Welcome to the first ever LEGO Digital Designer Relay Community Build! For this first model, we have chosen a Café Corner-style house. This makes it easy for everybody to contribute different things in their own way. Please stick to this theme and model. Seeing as this is the first, it is essentially a test and so certain rules have to be inforced so we can see how it works. 20 people are allowed to take part. These will be the first twenty people added to the list. You can enter by posting here. If you've already expressed your interest in the 'LDD Community Build?' thread, you do not need to post again here. Only vassals and up are allowed to take part. If you don't have more than 10 posts, you cannot use the PM system and so you won't be able to take part efficiently. Each person can add up to 150 parts to the current model and must keep within the boundaries of the chosen theme. DO NOT delete or edit any existing parts! Please use only parts and colours that are available in real bricks. You must complete all the steps below within two days of your turn beginning. Any parts that do not meet this deadline will not be included. Your task: Download the current LXF file from the PM I'll send you when it's your turn Add your 150 parts Save your version under a different file name and ZIP it Upload the new model to a image-hosting site (ie. Brickshelf, flickr) and send a download link to me via the PM I'll use this first post as an index for everyone involved and each person's stage in the build. Superkalle will of course get the ball rolling. The success of this model might mean more will be available in the future. I hope you all enjoy participating! 9. We've known that since we saw the pic. You can see she wears goggles on the front and doesn't on the top, hence a double-sided head. That's Buzz of the 41st Elite Legion, not a Horn Company Trooper. They were only seen in Grievous Intrigue!
  10. Now just a plural specialist Superkalle offered to give me a new title seeing as I had my previous one for almost a year, however 'his imagination ran out' so he just 'tweaked it a bit'.
  11. Thats sounds exactly like a normal community build. Posting PC specs means it's getting too complicated. A simple 50-part limit makes everything much more simple. I guess so, but not everyone looks once they've posted. I know I'm being picky, but someone could just post to say they're next and immediately start on the model, not knowing somebody else posted while they were writing. It happens more often than you'd think!
  12. But surely that means more chaotic. What happens if multiple people post at the same time? I'm sure there would be issues of people not paying attention and adding to the model at the same time. Without a host, it'll be especially difficult to manage these issues.
  13. Is that not just the same as Superkalle's third option?
  14. Sure. There are ways of using the PM system without resorting to email for anything.
  15. I concur. It'll also reduce the risk of the two versions getting mixed up or lost and it'll just mean more structure in every way.
  16. Fantastic idea, Superkalle! I'm definitely game! I don't mind taking charge if nobody else wants to.
  17. Thanks a lot, Zblj! It looks great! I've updated my post with the new version. You left your prop bricks underneath. I removed them in my LXF.
  18. Thank you very much, Forresto! I didn't design it to be built with real bricks, but I may give it a go one day. Thanks a lot, Fox! I'm glad you like them! I suppose it would! Feel free to use it in one of your comics. Thank you, pedro! I might try that and see how it looks. I agree with you about TLG's, that's why I gave it a go myself. I hated the new one! I thought I might as well just post these seeing as I already made them: I made these little scenes for the start of mine and pedro's new forum game Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel, but decided not to include them in the end.
