  1. Thanks, I have noticed only 15 kb picture limit when posting, not the option for image linking. Now uploaded to BS and corrected
  2. 1.BEFORE I BOUGHT Even if I am a hardcore 4-stud fan, I was bit interested, how could look this compactor. When I saw an opportunity to buy it on one Czech auction web, I hadn´t thought too long . 2. IMPRESS WHEN UNPACKED Quite a few parts for such big box..Two numbered bags, instructions, big parts packed loose in the box. I was quite happy finding three sticker sheets instead of one. I think that it was just mistake, or, could be, that TLC decided to give us spare stickers? 3. IMPRESS BY BUILDING Building is absolutely uncomplicated and easy. First bag allows you to build vibration stamper, road signs and barriers and lower part of the compactor. Second bag keeps upper part of compactor. 25 minutes and all is built-up. 4. IMPRESS WHEN BUILT - LOOKOUT I don´t have any complaint, compactor looks quite well, with enough of details. Size ratio to minifigs is authentic as well.. 5. IMPRESS WHEN BUILT - PLAYABILITY Could be good (I am not a child any longer). Two figs, maneuvrable front part of compactor allows to change a driving direction. What I really hate, that the cabin with glass is not fixed enough to compactors body and falls out again and again. 6. GENERAL IMPRESS Nice add-on to City line, but, in my opinion, not offending, not exciting... 7. FINAL RESULT I can suggest this set for children, they will probably like it. For AFOLs , like me, I think no need to buy. Even if this set will be not expensive, I am bit fed up of all those Build Theme sets. Even as a parts source no need to buy.
  3. I agree, but, why you quote me? I really hadn´t been the one who started some dispute here...I just reacted onto blackwording of mine!!!
  4. Don´t take care about this guy, he is a newbie to Kostky.org, he already tried to blackword me there, but was deleted... Some people are simply corroded by failure, envy and hate.
  5. I have the same feeling from new Pirates line. I remember those tremelous fun when I got first ship, 6274, in 1989. I enjoyed so, so, so, so much fun with it. New Pirates linre is.....how to say...in my view a weak attempt to revive the old glory. When I look onto new sets, I cannot imagine such pirates in real life. Colours are too mannered, design is more "toy-focused" than "realism focused"...When I saw first time 6274,6285,6286, my first thought was - "Wow, this is exactly how the right pirate/royal fleet ship should look like"... When I saw this new 2009 Pirate flagship, my very first thought was "OMG, floating circus"....
  6. So review is here at Eurobricks as a new thread..
  7. Thats what I am speaking about. In fact, there is no security in Czech Lego factory, and nearly all unreleased sets are sold at Czech web sites long before official release. I made some steps in this matter, but seemed, that factory has no will to cooperate with police, so now I am not taking care about it anymore and I am buying what I find interesting.
  8. I bought even two pieces on different auction sites here in Czech Republic. As there is a TLC factory, it comes for sure from there, but, I hadn´t broken any law buying it. I am not here to supply bad work of TLC´s security.
  9. So, finally I received 10193 Medieval Village. As it will take some time to me to translate review to English, you can take a pre-look on the Czech version here: http://www.kostky.org/forum/index.php?topic=19975.0 I will during the evening edit this first post and make a whole review. Anyway, I cannot post huge photos here, so you must follow the link above to see them. Later on, when my daughter will go sleep, I will have space to make photo of whole set scenery. 1. DECISION TO BUY Even if I am not a Castle fan, I was impressed instantly when I saw first pictures of this set and I decided to get it as soon as I can. Now I have it. 2. BOX UNPACKED Heavenly God, so many parts...around 18 bags with parts, two huge A4 instruction books. One for market stand and tan/reddish brown hammer mill, second for medium blue house. As the part bags are not numbered, I made a terrible mistake, when I put all the parts in one big paper box. Few hours later I thought myself, If I had to hell sorted it by colours.. 3. BUILDING, BUILDING, BUILDING OK, I will better disjoin whole building into main individual steps: 3.A - Animals Animals come ready to use, so more about them in next chapter.. 3.B - Figs Figs are assembled in five minutes, more about them in next chapter.. 3.C - Market stand Nice stand with rich assortment - 4 apples, 5 fish, 2 flowers, a table with cheese, bread, turkey. Build time 10 minutes 3.D - Weapon stand, horse cart, furniture Nice scenery add-ons, furniture to be used later on in a house. Build time 10 minutes 3.E - Tree Quite a big tree, little bit harder to build, as there is no connecting plate in the bottom and it disassembles easy. Nice idea with white flowers pinned to the plant leaves. Build time 10 minutes 3.F - Tan/reddish brown house The first house takes more time to build than the second one, around one hour. Building is anyway quite easy, in my opinion 8+ category. Only one what you must to take care on, is, the pearl gold colour. In instruction book colour seems like orange, and I wasted 5 minutes trying to find plates round 1x1 in this colour. Then I finally looked on the big photo on the box and I recognized the right colour:-) 3.G - Medium blue/reddish brown house Inner details of this house are easier than at first one, so build-up time was round 40 minutes. Easy building, 8 + 4. APPEARANCE WHEN BUILT-UP 4.A - Animals Animals come ready to use, so more about them in next chapter.. There is a plenty stuff in the box. One white horse, one light bluish gray rat, one green frog, five pearl light gray fish, two reddish brown cows. Now I can build up my own Animal Park:-). I forgot to mention one dark orange turkey, but, it is delivered "ready to eat", so in fact a dead animal I cannot count:-). What I really like, the light pink nose of those cows..BOOOOH... 4.B - Figs Maid in tan shirt- this fig is already known to me from Castle Calendar 7979. Anyway, nice, I want more of ladies in Lego sets at all.. Maid in green shirt - this fig is new for me, nice colour, nice grin, and new hair type...good job, TLC! Hunchback 2009 - this fig with cape is very similar to hrf008, one of my very favourite figures ever. New dark tan? dress and little modificated design, but, still it is a Hunchback! Father in dark tan dress with x67 hair type - nice figure too..Just the grin could have been bit more rough, I think in medieval village there hasn´t been so clean faces sightable... Child with short legs - child has even rougher grin than his father, he wouldn´t to buy him an apple? :-) Castle guard 1 - standard fig of 2008 Castle line, what else to say... Castle guard 2 - why this freaky grin? Seems he met somewhere in the house rooms naked Hunchback? Blacksmith - Cheers, this is finally a rough hard medieval guy like it should be! Devil face, mud clothes, give me more... 4.C - Market stand Very nice scenery, lot of useful parts, apples, fish, rat, turkey. I appreciate dark colours of the roof at the stand, looks much better then if used standart red or blue. 4.D - Weapon stand, horse cart, furniture Nothing special to be said to those small parts of whole set 4.E - Tree Tree looks very nice, it is a fresh wind when compared with standart prefabricated Lego trees... 4.F - Tan/reddish brown house I simply like this house. Outer view is perfect, water mill is very neat and under it you can even find a small green frog. I am not experienced builder, so I cannot say you some relevant opinion to used building techniques, see the pictures.. There are 4 chambers inside: : Downstairs right - hammer mill. Here you will find a blacksmith using his fireplace and hammer mill to make a new sword to the king. When you turn the mill wheel, it transponds power through a black propeller and some technic joints to a hammer, which strucks a sword on the anvil. Very nice function! Downstairs left - horse stables. Here you will find only horse, but, finally I know, why TLC gave two brown carrots to this sets. Instruction book leads you to place them as a shit onto the stables floor...:-)) Upstairs right - there is some dining room. One chair, one table with goblet, one tile stickered with a mans picture. In fact, this is the weakest room in the house. Table seems to me too big when compared with a room scale.. Upstairs left - Even if there is only a fireplace in this room, it is made with a perfect sense for detail. Behind the fireplace you can find chimney hole made from fence 4x1, even if you cannot see it after placing a fireplace to the room, you know, that there it is! When you open fireplace doors, you find a burning flames inside. Nice detail, wish I had have been in this room with a nice young medieval lady :-) 4.G - Medium blue/reddish brown house This house seems to me too asymmetric, colour combination is not mine cup of tea too. I don´t like big HP doors used in this house. But, at least, I must appreciate more realistic entrance to second floor, as you can simply use stairs. In first house, you have to fly:-) There are next 4 chambers inside: Downstairs right - my favourite room - a pub! Beer barrel, bar with three wine goblets, no need to go somewhere else in the house:-) Downstairs left - entrance door, you can place a guard there or whatsoever. Upstairs right - sleeping room with small chimney, maybe you will find a king with a queen making one of only two things suitable for cold winter evenings (I think, in medieval age they hadn´t used to play bridge yet) 5. PLAYABILITY Lot of animals, some figs, some moving elements (water mill, chimney door). But, despite all those facts, in my opinion classic castle set like for example famous 6086 is even much more playable for the kids..Maybe best way how to do is to buy 10193 for kids (OK, this you will tell your wife), and build it on your own (sadly, it hasn´t been exactly what the kids wanted) :-) 6. GENERAL IMPRESSION Frankly speaking, I am not so excited, as I expected. I am still missing something at this set. Maybe some more utensil, weapons, more figs, more small animals (bird)..If I compare, that at 6086 there was 12 figs and 4 horses to 569 parts, and at 10193 there are only 8 figs and 3 big animals to 1600 parts, I am not sure, if this is the right way. But, truth is, that those sets like 10182,10185,10193,10190 are issued more for AFOLs than for kids, to be used as a part source for great MOCs. Therefore I am pretty sure, that real Castle fan will enjoy this set.
  10. Will do some english review soon. First of all I made build-in review for our Czech AFOLs, now I am going to make a summary review in Czech language, and then I can post in English. What can I say is the most funny thing - two brown carrots used as a shit in a horse stables (official instructions show it)
  11. Finally I got one for me : http://www.kostky.org/forum/index.php?topi...icseen#msg90407
  12. Dear all AFOL friends, now I gave one 4999 on sale to Ebay, but, reason to do it was very specific. Please read the auction description: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=170256638449 Regards Josef
  13. One link more : http://www.majhost.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=183893 I would like to have all agricultural sets, OMG, how long I had to wait for a combine!!!
  14. Anyone wants to see photos of new Pirate sets, simply ask me via PM, I will send to e-mail.
  15. 25 pcs standard edition already bought for our AFOL club members, and, of course, one Limited for me . On Friday I will collect them in Germany . I already have similar book called Lego book museum, but, is is issued in Japan and I still cannot read "rice" fonts...
  16. LOL, got same mail from Vestas, but I tried to write one more to get this set :-). Most probably I will get same answer like before, but I ever tried...
  17. Well, it is a different story, but, my friend, be sure, that I know well, what I am speaking about. TLC production site in Kladno, Czech Republic, is one big massive leak at all. It is not about few thiefs, it is about unbelievable lack of control and security. Each new upcoming set has been sold in our country on many different web sites many weeks before official release date, for example Cafe Corner, Boeing 10177, 7723 Police Hydroplane (I was probably one of the very first ones in the world having it at home, see date of my review here on EB), and now this one. Leakage is so, so, so, so massive and public (production workers are so arrogant, that they sell unreleased sets not only here, but on Ebay too), that I cannot hope, that TLC really make some effort to avoid it.
  18. OK guys, respect TLCś crazy policy (They don´t take care about thiefs selling those sets long before official release, but they complain about one small photo on web ). If someone still needs photo, simply email me on josefzizka@post.cz, I will be glad to send you three pictures
  19. Dear AFOL friends, due to leakage of production plant in our country one member of our Lego club had bought a new promo set. Until now he placed only photo of the box, later on promissed to make a review. Heavenly God, I wanna one at all costs! Most were found here...
  20. This set is definitely "MUST HAVE" . DC-3 in LEGO set, what a nice dream !!! Lot of different figs, nice support vehicles, OMG, I´ll have it at all costs.
  21. I think it will be much useful for TLC to think about some much serious problems (worse quality of bricks, exact Chinese copies and so on), than to suddenly strike onto Bricklink. Bricklink does a pretty good work for TLC, I am an active BL seller (even small from small country), and what I do, that i buy most of the sets only to part them out to my BL shop. Ratio between my private collection sets and part-out sets is around 1:10-1:20. I am quite sure, that most of BL shops are doing it same, and especially some very big US, UK, NL and D shops are buying unbelievable quantities of sets to part out in their shops...
  22. I deleted it from my BS, as it hasn
  23. No, not me, but many people works, and I know some of them.. *sweet*
  24. 2008 seems to be a really good year for me *wub* , but not for my account *skull* *n* . I don
  25. Agent Rick - I mean Flextronics factory, which is producer of sets, located in our country. Lego designer studios are still in Denmark I think..
