  1. Looks great, just like a BMW - shaft drive and paralever front suspension. Good Work!
  2. Very interesting, i've never come across a Watts Linkage before, despite around 15 years as a mechanic. Probably not that surprising as i'm an agricultural engineer by trade... tractors aren't generally known for their suspension or lack of... especially the old nails I've worked on!
  3. i thought you might have, but you never know... my search powers must having an off day!
  4. Apoligies if this has been posted/discussed before, I've read through the 8110 MOC topic and didn't see it mentioned there. (all 40 odd pages too!) Stumbled over this designers blog entry today and thought it was interesting. It seems that it was intentional and to my mind makes sense. No mention of the wooly/hard steering tho. I've left my mog panhard rod orginal, mainly because I don't think that half a hole out is a great deal or paticularly noticable. However I will be replacing the knob gears and retrofitting axles instead of friction pins in the steering joints as the poor steering is a bit rubbish really... *edit to insert hyperlink as have now made 5 posts!
  5. Cheers fella, have just spent a enjoyable hour or two browsing this site and your blog. I am most impressed with both! I've just built my mog this week and am full of inspiration to build some attachments for it. I've just built a prototype of an extending jib for the crane, i'll be posting some pictures and asking for some advice when some extra parts arrive from brick link to finish it off properly! Next on the list of attachments will be a mower I think. Tom
  6. What an awesome job your doing of this moc. Can't wait for some video of the finished article!
  7. Hi, The English technical name for the blades is a "Share", a plough share. Great moc, looks and works great by the looks of things.
  8. Hi, what a fantastic model! Lego should have made a model of this one - i think a Cat Hi Tracked dozer looks so much better than the one they made. But then I'm biased - used to work a Cat dealer servicing and repairing these monsters. Which leads me onto my point, don't know if you realised that the rams on the sides of the blade arms are for tilting the blade from side to side - not front to back. See this video - Hopefully that link will work. Love the use of pneumatics and LA's too. Works really well I think. Adds a lot more functionality to the model. GOod Work! Tom
