  1. Clever Title!! Welcome Aboard.
  2. Cool!!!! Thanks!
  3. Yeah - it's just horrible that my yellow Prof Lockehart is standing next to my fleshy Prof Trelawney. I keep thinking about finding new faces for one or the other, but it just gets me down when I try it...
  4. Maybe its supposed to represent a different Robin...there have been 4 or 5 of them in the comics depending on who you ask.
  5. That stinks... Last year, my computer had a nasty virus that took a complete Hard-drive redo to handle. I hope those Agents laptops are secure! :-D
  6. I put them together, maybe keep some that way, but usually they end up getting redone (better, faster, stronger :-D ) via my personal touch.
  7. Chamber of Secrets was prob my fav overall, but if I could only choose 1, it'd be the first original castle set.
  8. The 2nd pic looks vaguely SWish, but the top pic is a mystery to me... Anything as far as blurbs or news as to what themes they represent?
  9. I noticed that as well. Why the price increase? Because it's not a Special Edition? *wacko* I haven't heard of that before this... I prefer to shop in-store to save on S+H and time. (I've opened sets in my car... :-P )
  10. Not sure if this was a rumor or just "common sense" before ToyFair, but it has been reported that there are definitely no new Lego Sets coming for the last 2 Harry Potter movies. I just read it yesterday...In the words of the Sleuth, "Harry Potter has gotten too dark for Lego." Something I (and others) figured after only having a castle set last year, but its a bummer to see it in print.
  11. Huh...the mouth is the most noticeable. It's funny that it was mentioned them all being from the same set! Nice find!
  12. Well, they do have the new sharks coming out and we have seen lots of ships lately. Maybe MegaBlocks is cutting back on their Pyrates (and PotC) Sets?
  13. Thanks legomilk... Good for them! I'm not surprised that City and SW were mentioned as top sellers, but did Castle not well enough to merit mention? As a Lib Arts Grad, I'm not one for wrapping my head around business phrases and the whatnot... Was anything mentioned in regards to increase in costs? Did the increase in revenue come from increased prices (if any)?
  14. Its times like this that I'm reminded that Lego isn't just a fun toy and hobby of mine. Its a huge business making million$ each year, while putting out a fun toy that some folks incorporate into a hobby. ;-) Hope everything goes as planned for all parties.
  15. I love the idea of an Historical Line. The History of the World as done by Lego. Roman, Greek, Egyptian, Chinese, etc, etc, etc.
  16. When I saw "story bible", my first thought was literally "Cool, Lego Camels" (the animals). :-D
  17. Wow. First, my thanks to sinner for guiding me right to this thread. I didn't know this had happened and was very interested in reading all the thoughts on it... I distinctly remember my younger brother and I "searching for the best pieces". It was frustrating and fun at the same time. At times, we also took turns (1 for you, 1 for me, etc, etc). Now, my own children argue over certain pieces and trade with each other for ones they want. They get too out-of-hand and away the Lego goes! I at least hope the teachers used the "town" as a reinforcement for those exhibiting appropriate behavior
  18. My all-time fav was Gauntlet. Oh the money I spent on that game... For those who don't know, it was an (up to) 4 player hack and slash treasure and monster-killing game. Elf is about to die! Main characters were: Elf with bow, a Wizard (shot fireballs), Barbarian with axe, and a Valkyrie with sword. Lots of ghosts, goblins, Death, and other assorted monsters to fight throughout a series of mazes. Lots of treasure and food to collect. Mega-Man sounds cool as well.
  19. Nice photo. Thanks for that. Looks fairly "armored" ala the Green Goblin suit from Spidey sets. Can'twaitcan'twaitcan'twait.
  20. I gotta stop looking at all those photos...especially the ones with the prices attached. Kidney sellin' time... X-O
  21. Welcome Aboard!! You folks are in the midst of summer down there right?
  22. Welcome Aboard! Your avatar reminds me of the Sting album - Dream of the Blue Turtles...even though its a blue dolphin... *wacko*
  23. Sounds like a fanatic to me... Welcome aboard!
  24. Wow. When that new colors were introduced, I went into a bit of shock. What to do? Hunt down old sets or aquire a slew of the new (I don't like them mixed...)?! Finally, I decided to go with the newer grays and browns. I love the flesh coloring, but still utilize the classic yellow for my castle minifigs. I was actually contemplating throwing out the question of whether or not any folks created armies of classic castle with flesh colored soldiers face/ hands, etc onto the forums.
