  1. The bottom of the hull approximates the waterline, but those new-ish City ships, with the buoyant hull, are really neat! I'm getting the police boat so I can use its hull to build a yacht, I've already made the sail. Unfortunately, I made a simple big triangular sail, not the rectangular-ish sail that most large yachts have, but oh well. I don't have much fabric left.
  2. Actually, it is realistic. What kinda pirate captain would leave his ship unadorned? Blackbeard simply added the bones of those he slain onto the ship. No harm done (figuratively) Besides, it looks good!
  3. That is absolutely amazing! Great work! Hope I get first post... Yay, i did! Anyway, that's amazing! I wish I was capable of doing that kinda thing...
  4. Oops sorry. I didn't realize this was necroed. My humble apologies.
  5. Thanks for the tutorial. As if I'll ever get enough parts to build a real ship, but thanks!
  6. Excuse me, that little thing under your avatar which reads "knows his stuff about ships", how do you get that? Do you have to have a certain number of posts?

  7. Great fleet! I plan on getting the IFS sometime this year, I'd like to put it on my bookshelf. I might want to redesign the sails, though. They're useless.
  8. No need to turn this into a clash, Sebeus. Your opinion doesn't concern me. Neither ship has a second deck, yet both has guns (not so many on the BB) so neither is realistic. Except, the QAR was easier to modify.
  9. The Black Pearl is NOT big. Two cannons? Come on! And they had to put the mizzen mast on the poop deck! The QAR is big, but I'd still like to see bigger, say, triple gun decked Endeavor?
  10. There needs to be more ships in that line. Again, I'd love to see the Endeavor, that would be the best set they could release! I've inquired as to its possible making at LEGO, but no reply yet. With that ship, one could get Murtog and Mullroy. Ah, I love those idiotic conversations they have! "You've seen a ship with black sails, that's crewed by the damned and captained by a man so evil that Hell itself spat him back out?" "No." "No." "But I have seen a ship with black sails." "Oh, and no ship that's not crewed by the damned and captained by a man so evil that Hell itself spat him back out could possibly have black sails, therefore couldn't possibly be any other ship than the Black Pearl, is that what you're saying?" "No."
  11. Email them to me, at gloom.doom2@gmail.com

  12. Thanks for friending me! I'm glad I've managed to make a good start on this website.

  13. Oh. to buy another QAR. Curse you, dream of a Border Collie, for making me devote my life to a dog! The design on the QAR sails is amazing, also. Crossed swords under a crown, what could be better?
  14. Could I see some more pics of your modified cabin and galley area on the QAR?

  15. @Charlie My camera isn't working, but the upgrades are simple; The grey 2 by 4 plates above the cannon portholes (they'll only have four studs poking out), you can put platforms spanning the gap between port and starboard, but the bone railings will have to have black bricks put underneath them, so that they're at normal railing height (not the old height, which is really high, just 1 brick underneath each slant piece with bones), but leave an area around the main mast so it's not obstructed. note; There will not be enough headroom in the gun deck for a minifig to stand Also, when you've completed adding the deck, you can put cannons poking out between the gaps in the bone railing
  16. I prefer the QAR, especially now that I have given it a second deck. I don't really like the old ships. as their lack of realism puts me off, whereas the QAR looks like a real ship.
  17. Ah, I'm glad to hear this! No offense to the FD, but it will be a bit useless as they won't give it it's full cannon complement, the captain's cabin will be tiny, there won't be a gun deck, and there'll be not very many figs, so we best hope for Pintel and Ragetti.
  18. That's a good idea! Now all we need is some LEGO spy to sniff out our ideas and take them back to LEGO! What's that? They don't do that anymore? Ugh. But still, that's a great idea!
  19. Bah! Endeavor all the way! A mini Endeavor would be cool too...or a mini fleet of the Hoist the Colors scene.
  20. What I'd really love to see would be the Endeavor, Lord Cutler Beckett's ship. That would be amazing if LEGO got it right, with its three story cabin, triple gun decks, deep color scheme with yellow accents. That would be the most impressive ship. And they would have to give us AT LEAST twnety cannon
  21. I need more CANNON! Like the small set, can't remember the name, but the little set which had a wheeled cannon, pirate and Imperial. I also need a set with ship hull pieces, and mast pieces, so it'd be nice if LEGO released something like the Imperial Flagship, only bigger and a full complement of cannon. A new, improved, and more impressive pirate ship would be great too, then I might be able to piece together a fleet, with my modified QAR at the head.
  22. Welcome to Eurobricks! I'm Edward Teach, more commonly known as Blackbeard. I have multiple Star Wars sets, but my area of expertise is Pirates. Tip; You won't be able to view yours or anyone else's profile until you've posted ten times. Again, welcome!
  23. I watched Inception. Great movie, lots of relevance to the real world.
  24. @yawgmoth, yep, it's cluttered enough! Nice work on the furniture! As for pieces out of color; Paint 'em! Use an industrial plastic type paint, or maybe spray paint, and you can have any color you want! Usually best if you start with a brick that's close to the wanted color or white.
  25. Welcome to Eurobricks! I'm Blackbeard, Edward Teach, the pirate all pirate minifigures fear. While you're here, check out this amazing pirate ship; Yawgmoth's Queen Anne's Revenge Again, welcome! Oh, and you won't be able to have an avatar and profile until you've posted 10 times.
