  1. Everyone, Shall we keep this discussion within its intended context which is addressing Castle Sets 2008 and 2009. Thanks.
  2. In that context, it can be considered so. Many of us will feel that ninja played different roles, mainly either for stealth, ambush missions, assassination, hired spies and etc. They can be categorised as an individual tribe, mercenaries, secret unit and etc. Samurai could generally be considered as the established recognised warrior whom fought the enemies in the open with katanas. Yes, they could be generally considered as soldiers to certain extend, as samurai do have a code to follow, which I could not remember at this moment.

Metalandi, thanks for pointing out. The tractor looks real nice and lovely. I can't wait to own this myself as well. I wonder, if by any chance, if he is going to post a review here?
  4. Sandy, I will like to take a moment and give you my congrats to your conclusive ending of Princess Quest. The amount of effort and time which you have devote to deliver to our community and sharing these innovative and creative storylines occuring this vivd comic strips. In this chapter, there are certain twists which I have not expected such as the death of Brickhart, the mysterious twin sister, Ogle's true form and etc. Those are good additions which spice up the story. However, I could see that you have tried to finish up this chapter as soon as possible, by reducing or cutting down or unneccessary scenes such as the combat in the courtyard and the battling dragons. Don't be mistaken. You have done an impressive job, and I truly enjoyed all chapters of Princess Quest. I supposed you are quite witty to leave an open ending conclusion, which could allow you to continue a sequence in the future, if you have plans to do so.
  5. A late congrats to all 3 winners. You have defintely earned it.
  6. Congratulations to all of the winners, whom have displayed their creativity to their best in this contest. It seemed our Strawberry Teacher is running happily in the house. I can really imagine that priceless expression of yours.
  7. Congrats to all 3 winners! Your entries are simply amazing, and the amount of effort and time which you guys have put in, have been rewarded one way or another. Great job everyone, and I hope everyone of you enjoyed this PTV contest.
  8. There is one person whom I interact from my local community, called EugeneTan, a certified LEGO Master Builder, in Singapore, has actually build this customised showcase in his room, to fit his prized possessions and mocs inside this huge and amazing glass cabinet display. These are some of his images. It cannot prevent dust but it helps to reduce the amount of dust gathered. This showcase was actually outsource to a contractor based on his requirements and caused him to spend quite a fair bit of money. Hope these images could help to virtualise your staging area. Credit given to EugeneTan.
  9. To be honest, I am not a fan of Avatar, but I must really admit that this creation is innovative in the mechanism aspects which is pretty interesting to include this feature as traps inside a maze or chamber. Well done.
  10. This is just so wonderful. I enjoyed your previous Jungle adventure and now, you present us with this new adventure. I must admit that the various combinations of Indiana Jones, Adventurers and Outback sets have been integrated well into entire concept. This is a very good start. I can't wait to see what you have in mind, for the ruins. You do have a lot of tan baseplates inside your collection. Perhaps, you could really build a mid-sized pyramid into the scene. Just an idea for you to think about. I am sure you will excite us more with your updates.
  11. I will like to flip the books which contain the non fiction titles, to page 318, to see if anything interesting pop out and to check if there is any other small notes in it.
  12. Nikola Bathory and dj2005 has both contributed two castle reviews. Both reviews are indexed. 6009 Black Knight 6049 Viking Voyager
  13. Thanks for all of your awesome words. I am glad most of you enjoyed viewing this small collection of mine. First of all, I will need to clarify the agenda of this collection. In this collection, there is a story behind it which I have not updated it above, due to the lack of time earlier, which has actually caused a little confusion for some of you out there. This Ninja and Samurai collection is based on fictional basis which was actually based on my imaginative kingdom, also known as EBRP (Eurobricks Role Play) concept. I am intending to expand this army, hoping to be one of the major powers in this fictions world. I will shed some light on why some of the minifigs and designs of the attire looks weird and uncommon, compared to feudal Japan. I know quite a fair bit of history and origins of ninja and samurai, even for some of us whom have actually associate it with movies and anime like The Last Samurai and Naurto for examples. Nevertheless, this is another country which has rich culture context. Let me formally introduce this kingdom of mine. This is "Kyoto Empire" in my own imaginary world of fantasy. In Kyoto Empire, unlike any other Japan feudal states or tribes which focus a clear division between ninja and samurai. In Kyoto Empire, Ninja and Samurai work together, to serve the Shogun, whom is the current ruler Shogun Itachi Takeda. In this empire, there are generally 5 divisions/units to support the military structure. These units' names are not finalised and is currently using a proxy name for it. There are some generals whom are able to wield magic through their weapons such as the one which has the light saber, is known as a legendary weapon obtained by the Princess herself, "Zephyrus". Characters and division progress will be updated in this topic. Swift Light (Red and Green Ninja whom are considered as elite and used for special task force) Kyoto Imperials (Samurai Riders whom are the main calvary unit) Kyoto Guards (Samurai and Spearmen whom are the offensive ground troops) Misty Ninjas (Grey Ninja whom are on defensive grounds and escort purposes) Shadow Ninjas (Black Ninja whom are on offensive grounds and stealth missions)
  14. Matn, thanks for sharing this lovely town set. I have never seen this set before. This is a nice looking set, with great printed parts in it as well. I still love these small little race cars. I have added this review to the index.
  15. A simple and classic looking expression, which is pretty nice. Good job, Mr Strawberry. The Islander face used, suits well in this creation.
  16. B-V-8A Hello everyone, I will like to take this moment, and thanks my girlfriend, Kim for doing this very special gift back in earlier November 2008, when I was having my semester exams. In order to motivate me to do well in my studies, she took amazing efforts and strength to build this very special snow globe in one night. Mind you, she is no LEGO builder or collector. She took some of our common collection and builds this, without me knowing it. I was very touched and I thought I could share this happiness of mine, with Eurobricks community, and of course showing my appreciation to her, that her creation is not an ugly piece of work when she claims that it was not nice. In fact, this is her first attempt which simply touched my heart for the amount of efforts which she has put in, to make this MOC possible. I treasure this, one of a kind snow globe which simply makes me feel fortunate, happy and motivated. Without further ado, these are the images to the amazing piece of work, in my own definition. 17. Hello everyone, I took abit of time and played with my ninja collection today, and I thought it will be nice to arrange my ninja and samurai collections together and shared some images with you all. This army is united under one banner, which is the Shogun. Therefore, you might see different factions of the Ninja theme are placed together. In my context, these units have different purpose in the empire. I hope you enjoyed viewing these, as much as I do, even though it's not as impressive as others. I do hope this collection will eventually grow overtime and expand the size of this empire. Background information Let me formally introduce this kingdom of mine. This is "Kyoto Empire" in my own imaginary world of fantasy. In Kyoto Empire, unlike any other Japan feudal states or tribes which focus a clear division between ninja and samurai. 18. I will like to examine the two large ornate spears, to see if it has been moved before or anything special about the weapons. It seemed this manor is filled with medieval weapons.

K.D, thanks for highlighting this. I remember once, LegoMilk mentioned about this as well. The reason why I comment on this, is because it seemed local retailers in my region are bringing in RC train sets this year, despite of it being discontinued, which could prompt TLG to delay the launch of the new train system and that is the reason why I mentioned its mere guessing and speculation. However, I will look forward to new exclusive train set though.
  20. Yes, we are encouraging members to contribute more Classic Town reviews. Reviewers Academy and Classic-Town.net, both are working together to bring in more of such reviews, hoping to complete our town reviews index one day. Thanks for your very kind words. Thanks Matn. Is this the 2537 Extreme Team Raft review which you refer to? Even if it has been reviewed before, multiple reviews are strongly encouraged. We could always need a couple of similar reviews with different opnions and presentation.
  21. Thanks Michael. It's very appericate of you to help me with this.

You meant the Wind Turbine Transport? I speculate that it will released in Summer, and be available in July or August. There is no news of newer versions of road plates. I believe they might re-released the previous roadplates edition few years ago. However, these are not certain and is not specify in countries and regions. For the plants and trees, I have heard no rumors about these at the moment.
  23. I appericiate both of your honest comments. First of all, every set deserve a review one way or another, to complete our index and showcase sets which has done or not done before, in order to expose our members to a greater perspective, regardless of the sets' advantages and disadvantages, so we are able to discuss and state our opnions and feelings towards the review/featured set. For a promotional set, I did not have high expectations about this set, and during that time, it was actually during my dark age. I am doing this few SHELL promo reviews, for memories and sharing these with others whom may or may not have seen this in gas stations. As for me, I only have a chance to own this set while I was aboard. Perhaps, that was one of the nostalgic reason. Pertaining to the set, I agreed that the set is isn't much impressive, and I have actually rated it a "3" instead of anything below. As far as I have noted among these SHELL promo series in 1999, this set is not actually the worst looking or one of my lowest rated sets among my reviews. I will post it once I have finalised it.
  24. I will like to use the stool to climb up. Before doing so, I will like to flip the stool to ensure it is sturdy and checked if there is any unusual marking behind. If the height could not allow me to reach at the top, I will like to use the comfy chair behind the desk and stack on it. It will be nice if someone could hold the base of the chair and stool, so I could have a firm ground.
  25. I shared the same feeling too, especially by the count of its minifig and the scale of it.
