  1. I have removed the deeplinks as these images are way too big, that it will clog most of our bandwidth. Please resize them before upload it to the forum. Thanks.
  2. This topic is moved and merged to here. Please continue the discussion in here. Thanks.
  3. Guys, thanks for all of your kind words. I am glad to know that you have enjoyed reading this mini review of mine, with a little creativity inside. It's a true fact! I do miss the old motorbikes, and I prefer the old ones better than any of the current bikes available. I believe these tri-motorbikes are subsitute for the past bikes. Well, I do own the Community Workers too, and that set offer many of such bikes. I was about to jump on whomever, voted for poor earlier. But, it's nice of you to state that you are the one, and reason why you select poor. I can understand how the way you feel about such bikes, when compared to the earlier versions. At least, you have tell me why you have selected poor. I am never fond of people voting for poor without telling me why they feel that way.
  4. That is absolutely so funny! I can't believe that guy was taken for a spin, and I was like laughing off my chair. Great one, ImperialScouts.
  5. Hello Bookaroo, welcome to Eurobricks. I am glad to know that you have and your little son are having an enjoyable time with the new Indiana Jones LEGO sets. On the other hand, you could take a moment and introduce yourself in here, so the members could get to know you better. In addition, we have an ongoing discussion for Indiana Jones related stuff, and the topic above, happened to be relating to that perspective, that the discussion above is much suitable in that topic. At the same time, this topic's nature belong to the LEGO Licensed theme forum. I will merge your topic, to give it a little attention and for your acknowledgement for my reply. On a related note, I will like you to read the site guidelines too, to get yourself familarise in this envirnoment. I noticed that the links which you have provided above seemed to be leading to a commerical entity that looks to me like it is merely created for advertising purposes, as the images provided are not from LEGO related websites that are widely accept by the LEGO community. Therefore, I have taken the initative to remove links that are not approriate to this discussion. If there is any issue which you like to raise, feel free to drop me a pm. Thanks. WhiteFang
  6. Hey Captain, this sigfig looks much easier to construct. Now, I have to decide my single Pirate torso for either you or SlyOwl. Nice pair of sabre. In fact, this is one of my favourite chrome accessories.
  7. It appeared that the deeplinks which are the images' direct path is still intact, and Brickshelf could be doing some maintainance overhaul, that restrict others from editing or viewing from the server. But, I do hope that they could ressolve it soon.
  8. It's always a small start to your big collection. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks! Have an enjoyable stay, which I am sure your well prepared for it. I could see the gear that you are bringing.
  10. Welcome to Eurobricks. You could actually introduce yourself much more, so the community could get to know you better, such as favourite theme, country of origin and etc. Lastly, do read the site guidelines too.
  11. Thanks. I don't really find this set boring. For a town collector, more modes of generic tri-motorbike are great to have in any town setup, where we can use this bike for other purposes for our citizens. Thanks Brickster! I was looking back, and realised I have left a very few to contribute, which reminds me of getting more of such reviews back on track, like what we did back then. Glad you have enjoyed it. This set is incredible small and useful, which is so affordable for us to grab a few more without hesitation. I miss those Shell promotional sets. In fact, these promo sets lasted for 2 years, where it was so easily available in petrol kiosk. I will love to pick those sets up, anytime. Edit: Brickster, thanks for that lovely write-up in Classic Town.
  12. Hello all Eurobricks members and Town Lovers, Today, I will be doing up the fourth item in the SHELL Promotional series in 1999. There are a total of eleven promotional sets which made up of six impulse sets and five medium sized sets. These promo sets were bought in 2000 from United States (California), when my family and I are on vacation. Unfortunately, these promo sets that I have are not complete. This is the first Shell Promotional set review which I have done. Starting with this impulse set, is a very cool looking sleek 3-wheel motorcycle bike that travelled from one point to another without a moment to lose. The rider is out there to save people whom is injured or in danger. Name: Tri-Motorbike Theme: LEGO System / Town / Promotional / SHELL Year: 1999 Pieces: 20 Minifigs: 1 Price: USD$1.70 An image of a 1249, Tri-Motorbike No time to lose Indeed, there is no time to lose for this white rider on this lovely tri-motorbike. Gearing up his white helmet on his head and securing his briefcase at the back, he is out on the streets, moving as fast as he could to reach his destination. Could you actually tell that he is a paramedic just from this picture alone? I am sure you will tell if you are observant enough. It took me a long time to realise that this rider is a paramedic by nature. I thought he was a businessman that love to travel with his briefcase on his unique white bike. Take a look at him Judging from the rider's appearance and attire. He is defintely a paramedic that is on duty with his trusty tri-motorbike. How did I eventually find out that he is a medic? It was a concidence when I took a careful look on his attire especially on his left chest which reveal the Medical Corps logo and comparing the logo against my ambulance. Tri-Motorbike features Tri-Motorbike was a new bike design which was introduced in 1998 till 2002. There are quite a couple of various colors ranging from Black, Blue, Red and Yellow bikes as well. I have not seen a real tri-motorbike in Singapore itself. Therefore, I am not very sure if the design is accurate or not. From the look of it, I felt that this is a very good bike design to add on to your collection. LEGO citizens will have more options to ride on instead of the usual motorbikes and bicycles back then. If I remembered correctly, this design seemed to be the one to kill the older design of white motorbikes which is used frequently by the Police Department back then. Look out for it at the end of the review. At the front of the bike, it allow the rider to steer left and right. However, if the rider's arms is holding onto the handles, it can only move straight. Secure compartment At the rear of the bike, there is a secure compartment for the paramedic to place his briefcase filled with vital medical equipment in it. This is a very neat little feature which made use of common parts to secure it from dropping off from both sides. The blue lights on the top represent that an emergency vehicle is moving at a fast speed and asking you to give way to it. Let's go for a race Starting line On your left lane, the Paramedic is ready in his tri-motorbike. On your center lane. the Traffic Police Officer is starting up in trusty white bike. On your right lane, the German Nazi soldier is accelerating his engine on his scrambler. And, the race begins This is a very good impulse set to buy more tri-motorbikes. More paramedics for your hospital and a briefcase as well. I can't find any complains unless you don't like the entire design. It's defintely not as great as the older motorbikes. But judging it on its own, it certainly score a high one. Summary review Playability: 9.5/10 (One of the quick emergency vehicle available. It can be taken apart and used like a regular motorbike) Design: 9.5/10 (Design is well taken care of, especially the secure compartment for the suitcase) Price: 10/10 (This set is very inexpensive to get more tri-motorbikes ) Overall: 9.7/10 (This bike is a great addition to any LEGO Town or City, especially for your hospital operations) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? Hope everyone of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Critics are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Brickshelf (When moderated)
  13. I have added I Scream Clone's medieval market villiage review in here. If there is any outstanding reviews, please drop a note and I will do an update by next week. Thanks. 10193 Medieval Village Market Review 2
  14. Superb amazing in-depth review! I am sure this review will found a well deserved spot within our index. By far, this is one of the most incredible castle set over the recent years, and my favourite as well, after the Dwarf Mine. In fact, TLG has did a great job by doing up this long awaited set. For such incredible design efforts, I have bought this set too at a premium price and I can't wait to find a little bit more time to construct this beauty. One thing for sure, for all castle fans, one is never enough. I can imagine myself getting a few of this, if it ever appear locally, just to construct a beautiful medieval market villiage.
  15. All of us are gas out by your green gas! This is by far, the most thorough conclusion ever written. It was like as if I was reading an essay just now. Congratulations Sandy for solving this. It was defintely a very fun exploring Mystery Castle game. Now, we know that next time we had this game, be sure to check our drinks if they had been spiked. I will add more thoughts later.
  16. Brickster, thanks for taking your time to do up this Mystery Tour for us. It's defintely an eyeopener, and it's defintely an ideal place for Dragonator to plot its Mystery Castle down there, as well. There are lots of antique down there, and the condition looks good too.
  17. Brickster, I can't wait for you to start your mystery orientation tour for us. I am sure there are lots of amazing things for us to discover in that old castle.
  18. Jared, I enjoyed viewing this modular building of yours. It has an amazing interior filled with innovative layout and furniture settings, which emit the exact feeling of how a designer label store should potray. Personally, I feel that you have captured it very well. Thanks for sharing it with us. You might want to note that, this moc happened to be in Classic-Town.net.
  19. To make this clear for our readers, the poll was designed to allow members to vote their preferences towards the particular reviewed set which was done by the reviewer by stating their immediate liking towards the set, by selecting one of the five available options available that represent your thoughts best. By the way, this is a nice classic Star Wars reviews. I will love to get hold one of this set, mainly for the earlier jedi versions. Their torsos and parts are much better than the recent version. Well, Star Wars was so much affordable back then. Thanks for making this review.
  20. I share the same sentiments. I couldn't want to see Castle theme, having a trade off for the Greek theme.
  21. iamded, it has been a long time since I last saw you posted. This is a very good moc, in fact, I noticed there are many familar Giant Castle Chess set elements in this creation. Nice one, and good luck for the contest.
  22. I just noticed the Classic Town, bus station! You have lots of nice sets in this set up. Ever counted how many official sets are there?
  23. No worries, thanks for taking note, and have an early sleep.
  24. Matn, thanks for taking your time to do up this lovely Harry Potter review. In fact, this was one of the last Harry Potter sets ever released by TLG in 2007. This was the only Hogwarts Castle in my collection, and I am still keeping it in MISB state until I have much spare time to build this. For this set, I must admit that the minifig variety is great, covering all major characters in that movie, which could easily allow us to entact the movie scene in the castle. Good review!
  25. This is such a wonderful town set up that simply put a smile on my face, especially when you are able to combine various Classic Town elements/vehicles/building into the current CITY theme! Great job, and thanks for sharing. By the way, could you help to resize your images to 640 x 480 instead? Thanks.
