  1. LuxorV, this is a very beautiful, classic looking Travel Lodge Hotel, which reminded me of those motel which I had stayed near Disneyland, California. The building design is simply captiviating, with distinct red roof, classic window panel that exist in the 1970s, and surrounding white walls. The doors, which are available in the 1970s, is integrated part of the building, and it looks real nice with the minifigs beside it, except that, they can't walk through. The street scene is very nicely done too. I love the fountain at the right corner. It's simple to build, and appear to be very lovely. The traffic light design, is a hanging version, allow drivers to have a better overview instead of looking at the side. The yellow vintage car, sure looks antique enough to be part of rich men collection. By the way, this has been featured in Classic-Town.net.
  2. Now, I understand what you are trying to depict.
  3. Our first entry, in this contest. This is an unique concept with combinations of both Classic Space and Classic Town, filled with nice Public Hall, to host the conference. The rooftop with the sunscreen, or solar panel, I am not sure what you called that, fit nicely at the center of the rooftop. One thing I note about your internal, is the colors of the table. You used different 2x4 colors bricks to represent each Classic Spacemen's alignment. However, the truck does look a little bit colorful. Why don't you focus on using yellow to design it instead of using other colors too. On the other side of the park, it's simple but deliver an interesting action scene there. Good job, and you have been featured in Classic Town.net.
  4. Yes, modification or minor tweaks is defintely allowed. Other members can give their own suggestions to help you improve your entry. I will take the first picture when the contest is drawing nearer to its closing date. Your entry has been indexed at the first page.
  5. I will move this to the Community since its related to Facebook.
  6. Congratulations to the winners! Enjoy your well deserved prizes.
  7. We have some HK members, whom are Alywin, Benny, and etc, whom are members of EB. I am sure they could provide some useful advice on the scene. I used to have a forum link, from MinifigsForum.net, on their compliations of the shops address and contacts, but at the moment, I can't find it. The forum is mainly converse in chinese. By the way, HK LEGO, is much expensive compared to Singapore, with 10 to 20% mark up. Practically, in this part of the region, LEGO is much costly than US and EU region.
  8. I love those swords! These swords can be added nicely to the soldiers. This is a very enjoyable review.
  9. Brickster, this is so beautiful. Our first Staff Entry, for the contest has arrived. It warms my heart so much, until I can't take my eyes away from your stunning image. There are many classic elements, such as the use of the rare cypress tree, black looking gas lamp or lamp post, phone booth, and the construction crew team to repair the roads. I love both classic looking vehicles, that simply wow me over, with that red postal delivery van and the yellow cabby coming down the lane. The sidewalk cafe, is lovely. Is it a german cafe, judging by the color scheme of the building, while the other building on the side has a very nice color combination with those blue windows grills. I am sure the window boy has to be careful hanging on to the ladder. Everything about this, is simply breathtaking. Well done!
  10. Voting will begin once the deadline is up. I will specify the voting area, when the time comes.
  11. I am ready, at your mighty order, Procced with caution.
  12. Aww, I hate to repeat what others had mentioned, but I must admit that this is the nicest staircase ever seen. Very nicely done.
  13. Yes, this baseplate is acceptable. If you are intending to extend the area by using this baseplate, be sure to use the same color tone, which is green. Never mix it up. Thanks.
  14. The game has not offically started, and we are having an exciting prequel party.
  15. I am smelling a consipracy down there. The game has not even started and you people wanted me to face a grim end. My name is not "Alien", it's known as Widanko Fenk.
  16. After giving some thoughts to it, I am allowing these baseplates to be used in this contest as long they are able to present a Classic Town scene with the proposed baseplates. In addition, other 32 x 32 road baseplates that is used in official Classic Town LEGO sets can be considered as well, with links provided. Usage of other baseplates will be specify in the first post. Dear all, There is a rule update in the first post regarding to usage of road baseplates. It has been extended to 4 main categories, based on Bricklink description. If there is any doubts, please raise here for discussion. Thanks. WhiteFang
  17. Although there are not produced in Classic Town, but their torsos certainly look classic enough to be in it. Why not, since these minifigs appear in Town Plan anyway. Unfortuntately, this is one of the basic rule required for this contest. You can use the modern roadbase plates, and use additional baseplates to expand, if necessary, depending on your design. I quoted rule number 1 below for your easy reference, and do let me know if you have anymore doubts.
  18. Yes, and with Classic Town torsos as well. No, these colors are defintely allowed. We are not placing any restrictions on the colors used.
  19. Congratulations Hinckley! It seemed you shall have another Fabuland SW Limited Edition minifig to be added to your collection. KimT, thanks for organising this contest. I sure have fun particpating in it, now, why don't you try and build something Classic over the other side of town.
  20. Happy Birthday Zorro! May you have a great and enjoyable day filled with lots of happiness and Pirate LEGO.
  21. A quick search, in this forum will lead you to a similar topic which you have just created. I have merged both topics together to allow discussion to be done in one area. Thanks.
  22. I find this topic to be very interesting, after reading some of our members' thoughts. As for me, I associate myself with the medieval times and imagine myself to be part of an imaginary fantasy world filled with many different faction. Ever since I was a child, I had developed a strong liking towards Black Knights Kingdom, especially the unique White Knight in the Black Knights Castle. Swords, magic, war, and etc are part of my childhood imaginary world, and I recorded my thoughts somewhere along the line. Recently over the past few months, I participate EBRP (Eurobricks Roleplay) which is much involved in story writing pertaining to your story line characters. At this moment, I did take a long break away from my story development, and this is how I relate myself when I am writing down my plot and interactions with fellow EBRP players. My stand is, there is no such thing or rule ever, that state only "Writers" and "Children" are allowed to make up their own fantasy world. Everyone is entitled to their creativity and imagination, and I strongly believe that its up to you to make a difference.
  23. I am not a SW Guru. Well, the only thing I know about him, is the fact that he is a character called Greedo that was blasted by Han Solo.
  24. Clone brands and custom parts that is not related or produced by LEGO is not allowed. On the other hands, custom decals/torsos are allowed if they are used for Classic Town context, for example, re-making of shop signs such as SHELL Petrol station.
