Of course. Everyone is entiteld to their opinion. But what I'm making my point on is that Lego has stated that they cannot use the special parts, but I think Darth LEgolas is saying lego can do so out of whim of any parts it wants. Fact vs. opinion?

Modernise or die... I bet that's what the dwarves had in mind when they built this. Excellent usage of the Flying wing parts.
-
Is the Vader just chrome painted like C3PO or is it made from a a shiny plastic?
-
This is by far my favourite of ATAT mocs. But its too monochromatic Add some titbits of dark bley. I really like the use of flat plates with studs on one side.
-
That would skyrockert the price and compensate the appearance of the ship unfortunately. Lego will just have to go for useless flapping wings. Oh please post something you are sure about, especially when you use italics and such. It's rather insulting in my point of view. I was talking about specific heads such as battle droid heads, but not bodies, vader's torso design, and squidward's head. We know from official letters from lego that they cannot use these parts, and it is not up to them. So it is 0% possible of squid's head appearing in another set. As for Nute's head, I still think there is some possibility of them making a mould for him, especially if he is the only neimoidian in the set.

I would like any of the themes from the Command and Conquer franchise. (red alert, tiberium wars, etc). One of the most feasible themes because there are many vehicles ranging from the 10dollar range to the 60dollar range, and plenty of individual buildings like power plants and command posts.

Unlikely. On LEgo, there is one review from Sweden and he is apparently a top contributor.
-
I think Sweden was just a test. I believe this will be released only in the US, like the C-3PO. There are rumours of more than 10.000 which were made. They may be distributed globally, but the chances of winning one from that would be very small, as no more than the amount released int he US would be distributed globally, most likeyl unfairly concentrated in certain areass.

Power miners truck (The one with the enormous drill and cost 30 dollars).

That's fanon right? Good models you have there. I'd prefer dark red, though.

All of the new sets (including the solar sailer) are arriving this week at my local LEgo storte. I've checked TRus, kamrts and walmarts half a dozen times. They are already out. Hope i'll be the first to get the solar sailer on EB.
-
Of course, my favourite detail is the awesome firepower this vessel packs. This can hold its own against a destroyer!
-
My favourite is the detail on the castle wall and the "floating logs". Excellent work. What's the translucent exo-force tube for?

I don't trust it much either. But they are sometimes reliable. It was the first source (I think ) to list Sandy 's Rocket (from Spongebob) but it was correct. I also said there were other reliable sources of info. But I'm digressing. If the solar sailer's piece count is 385, and it's more expensive than the Sep shuttle and at 257 pieces, then it must be quite small , even though the Penguin himself said that it looked excellent. We'll see about that, hopefully this month.

I did mention the time differences at the top and told you not to bug me about it . But here, I'lkl say it again: Happy New Year!
-
http://legostarwars.wikia.com/wiki/8036_Separatist_Shuttle is one source. There are at least 2 other more reliable sources I had.(Google it) Most of the new sets have their piece count confirmed. Nothing else much besides price.
-
Well, another year has passed too quickly. Post any resolutions you have for this new year (whether it be Lego related or not). I'll start. For lego, I hope yo be the first to get 7752 Count dooku's solar sailer. Family wise: I'll spend more time with my family than with lego, although that may be hard .

Good review. Are those 2 last big fin pieces rubber? I bet LEgo made up the stuff about "elite assassin droid" to save metallic silver paint. I can imagine the IG-88 market on BL just dropping....and dropping...and dropping.
-
If you're American, the price is 30 dollars. 257 pieces total, but that may change slightly. I forgot the price in euros. I personally wouldn't want that Rodian. He's not even a separatist (he betrayed Gnray in the series then sort of went back by bribing people in favour of the Seps). Furthermore, it's not Onaconda Farr's ship. Maybe another Neimoidian like Rune Haako (his top aide)even though he did not appear in the series, but if the head is a mould, then obviously only one neimoidian will be created. I hope the BDs included are pilot droids with blue paint on the back like they did in 2000 insteadof the unpainted ones from the MTT (along with the security droids).

I thought they had a digital copy on Lugnet for free! Maybe they changed it. The Brick Journal sells for 15 dollars at my local Lego store (rip off). And I am nearly certain they will not use any of the moulds from Spongebob sets because of the copyright probelms accompanying that. (i.e. not legal). When's the last time you saw a SW piece used in other sets? Not that they have much of a use for them.
-
I myself am definitely getting the Sep shuttle no matter how ugly it is. I'm going to force myself to pass on the other sets but I will choose between the Venator or the Mon Cal. All of the sources I've seen put the price at 30 dollars. You're right, though. I am always willing to pay more for quality. The feature I look most for in vehicles is interior space. That's whay I didn't buy the new Republic shuttle but absolutely loveds the minifig ISD, even though I love shuttles/transoprts. Yeah, but look at what they did to Squidward. The first sets had him with a regular head with ink but later made a new mould for his head. I hope a new head is made. But maybe they were pressured into making the mould because all of the other characters had special parts (as far as I know).
-
I would like a any separatist ship in the style of the 2006 ISD. They did it with the Empire, The rebellion, the republic, and the CIS is last...again.
-
Thanks so much, penguin, though. Without your info, we would still be stuck on a lot of the sets, (such as what the Sep shuttle was or whether the tank was the snail). But you mentioned that the Sep shuttle was gray and blue? In the movies it's tan. I'm assuming they applied the Sep colour scheme like they did to the AAT, am I correct?
-
Also, Penguin, apparently the Mon Cal cruiser wasn't there? (It was a fan's choice, after all). Are you allowed to scan the catalogue or not? I would really like to know more about the Sep shuttle and the Venator,
