  1. ...You don't seem pleased with your new upgrades...
  2. In terms of clear pictures...
  3. Okay, new vids have been released, as well as a few images here and there, so here's my current opinion: Heroes- Nex: Meh...liked him in Ordeal of Fire, but this one still kinda bugs me. I like the combo of orange and white, but the white kinda overpowers the orange in this particular use. Perhaps if the colours were layered like on Furno (white on thighs/forarms, orange everywhere else) I'd like him more, but it's been confirmed the printing is orange, so I may be wrong. Stringer: This guy looks cool, despite the loss of orange. If I'm honest I like the colour combination, definitely the best coloured hero of the line, with a combo of black and blue (get it...nevermind...). I'm probably gonna get this guy first, probably considering I never brought the first Stringer (stupid mistake on my part...). Bulk: This guy seems to have dropped the curse of the ironically slim Bulks of yesteryear, donning some killer shoulder armor, though it's placement kinda bugs me. His colour scheme is also a little bit too jumbled for my liking, but again, requiring extra pictures, so I'll have to wait before I can formulate an opinion... Villains- XT4: ...until I saw this guy...and man, what a mess he is. Noone seems to be able to pose this guy, he just looks like some 5 year old kid threw some bones together, added a Meltdown face, a random sawblade and called it a day. Though posed horribly I can already see no appeal in this character whatsoever (especially the fact of being yet another yellow villain, making three). Core Hunter: I swear this guy is cursed. He's been eternally praised by many (myself included, cue hypocrisy) without any clear pictures. The only hint to his design that's somewhat reliable is the leaked catalogue image. In both recent ToyFairs, ample opportunity to make out his design, he's been posed backwards, or when posed decently is too out of focus to see him properly. Again, another one for NY ToyFair. Voltix: ...Wow...what a difference ToyFair makes. In the catalogue his design and colour scheme looked horrendous, and tough I still hate the reusing of the Black Phantom helmet, his colours have been cleaned up so much. Different coloured wires, red bones, purple highlights and gunmetal armour. While on paper this sound like a lot of colours, in reality this actually makes a decent figure. Not to mention...*breathes in*...PURPLE!!! So...yeah...thats it really. Keep in mind this is merely opinion, feel free to agree, disagree or otherwise.
  4. Well, at this point I'm quite excited to see what ToyFair brings. I'm not all that interested in XT4, but the sculpt of Nex' helmet and the assembly of Stormer XL peak my interests.
  5. Not to be off topic, but my thoughts of a trans-stringer gave me a concept idea for future release. If they can make trans-shell pieces, why not trans-bone pieces? You know, like they glow under the armor?
  6. Hmmm...that would be a very cool concept, a black and trans-blue figure that would have similar effect to the light-pipeing in the eyes!
  7. Doubt it. As much as that would be awesome, if you look carefully at the torso where the "ball" shoulders are, the connections are used with various bones to hold up his "shoulders" (the silver shells above the torso)
  8. Considering he mentioned technic beams as well, I'll be the first to suggest that Speeda Demon has a new beam piece with a ball joint or two inside.
  9. I honestly can't see the difficulty. Individual head moulds? Cue Superheroes head sculpts. If they can do superheroes, they can do Zib/Quatl/pie.
  10. By any chance, is the grey one called Dent? Anyway, great review as always, loving the combiner at the end!
  11. I voted "above average" to give this guy some credit. He really isn't that bad, though my only real complaint is the colour. I like blue and lime together, but there's more lime than blue here, which for Surge is kind of a...well, the face kinda says it all.
  12. By the plane things I particularly mean the one on his forearm. The problems may just be due to the stupidly large chest though...
  13. Okay, sorry to disagree, but I can't stress enough how much Stormer XL bugs me. His arms are too short, those plane things make his arm look like a scorpion tail (I know it sounds cool, but trust me, it isn't) and those legs are awful how they're so hollow. Please fix them for ToyFair...
  14. Does anyone else think they should release that riff as a mini MP3 on the site? It's starting to get really catchy...
  15. There's actually an Evo 2.0 as well. Oh, and if you're looking for Furno 2.0, look for the goggles of death. They'll kill you till you're dead.
  16. At this point I really wish it was...Von Nebula 2.0 anyone?
  17. Nice review! This guy actually looks a lot cooler than I thought, and finally we have a review without the cuffs superglued to his legs!
  18. I really hope not. We only have 5 heroes per wave, so you'd think there'd be more time for each character, but instead she gets replaced by two sets not even out yet.
  19. Sorry for asking for pictures lately, but I haven't got these guys yet, so I'm just curious. That shield arm bugs me with how short it is, do you think it would look better by lengthening the forearm by one stud longer?
  20. Thanks! That actually looks really cool. If I can, I might do that with all the heroes, it seems to fit so well!
  21. Wow...first Voltix, then Stormer, now Stringer? LEGO seems very eager to show off the summer wave, so with this new footage it's easier to judge him as...well, quite cool looking, though it now looks like the blue's here to stay, which is disappointing considering Surge also has a blue chest.
  22. Well over here thats not much of an issue. It's still a price drop nonetheless.
  23. Regarding motives, one good thing about this line for me over here is the price. Small sets have gone dowm from £7.99 to £6.99, which rocks, and even Black Phantom is cheaper than Fire Lord, from £17.99 to £14.99!
  24. Thanks!
  25. I'd have to disagree. I think Evo's simplicity is much to his benefit, as it rids him of the problem I had with Rocka's cluttered look. If you don't mind me asking, how does Evo look with the 2.0 armour piece on top of his current chest piece?
