Ok, here it is. I asked for clarification on the reasons to feel satisfied with a vote (after being called out for the random vote statement) after voting based on reasons given by others and not her. And here is the response I got. My response. I made the sacrifice comment and asked if she was prepared to do the same. And I mentioned none of the above clarified my request. Her response. My response. And my vote. I will stick with my vote based on Hazel's defensive nature to my responses, trying to change the subject every time, and being very unhelpful in general. Can anyone find anything useful or helpful she has said?

It's kinda funny Cherry that you say I'm ultra defensive when I'm actually very peaceful right now (I'm a tree, enjoying the sun). I'm sure others will read, and go back to see what I really said and how I really reacted. You don't have a case against me so why would I get 'ultra defensive'? I brought up points, asked both you and Hazel for clarification and got nothing from either of you. I know I am an oak not a maple. How many maples/pretending to be oaks would say they are prepared to be sacrificed so that other oaks may live?, even though I cherish my life in the sun and this forest with my fellow oaks. Sue Sumac, I would like to clarify that my 'sacrifice' statement has nothing to do with the two votes on me and everything to do with Hazel's responses to my request for clarification (which she is continually avoiding). I was stating how I feel and challenging her with the same. Any oak would feel that way, but not Hazel. And I'm not a newbie, so why would you think that I would play a 'newbie card'?

I never said I wanted to be cut down, I don't, I want to live to continue in the sun. What I really said was that I am prepared to be sacrificed if it saves more oaks from perishing. Just remember that previous days and conversations are looked at for the next day tree sacrifice. So all you say is out in the open for everyone to analyze. Interesting that you agree with Cherry, noted. But my vote stays on you for reasons already stated.

Anyone can go back and see both you and Alistair have serious flaws in you reasoning against me. And with all the other votes (and reasons) for Alistair and with the maple buddy behavior with Hazel you still choose me? It's your vote, your choice. But it does seem as you are now supporting/defending Alistair? Care to explain?

I never said you were maples acting like noobs. I said the two of you are not noobs. And I said your behavior and Hazel's behavior put together just screams that you are maple buddies.

So you are voting for me because I am voting for Hazel? Really? Hazel hasn't clarified anything I asked her to. Hazel is the one getting defensive. And you are watching her back. With all the votes for you, because you supported/defended Hazel on Day 1, and your still doing it? This screams that you are both maples. My, my but aren't you getting a little too defensive here? I didn't threaten you, I asked for clarification. You were already on my suspected maple list. No where did I indicate I could decide for everyone else. And voting can still change pretty rapidly before the deadline. I'm prepared to sacrifice myself to save the rest of the oaks in this forest, are you? Oh and you didn't even clarify one thing for me, interesting and noted.

Lassie Sassafras, allow me to clarify on my comment you questioned about Bruce. Alistair Pear was starting to stand out above the other three that I had mentioned and I was about to cast a vote for him, when Bruce did. It would have been a quick and rash vote for me since I was still weighing the others equally. I made the comment I did so that Alistair would no he was not off my radar. Bruce's vote caused me to pause and think carefully about my vote vs casting quickly. Day one is always a shot in the dark. I may still yet cast my vote in Alistair Pear's direction, however two others are now coming under suspicion as well. I want to make the best possible.

Do you really need further explanation? Random voting is not ok! Oaks would not do that to each other. And your second sentence makes no sense what so ever. How could I be a good lynch for day 1 for simply saying that your random voting is maple tree behavior 'when no progress has been made' ? What progress would need to be made for it be ok for me to say that? It's hard to determine a good candidate when everyone is posting nonsense..., but one person has stood out to you..., and then you use someone else's reasons to justify a vote you feel quite satisfied with? Would you care to clarify before I decide that you are actually the best tree sacrifice for the day?

Three posts is hardly excessive....and I didn't accuse anyone, I stated suspicions only once. All what stuff you said earlier? You didn't say anything other than three post (on day 1) were excessive fluffy, at least I was posting, compared to the others you mentioned that didn't. So all the other stuff by others wasn't fluff? And who and where did I parrot anyone? The 'leads'? I don't really see anyone leading anyone. And yes the only reasons you stated were my fluff and my supposed accusations. As for pointing out the word 'lying'.. Bobby Beech put it in a sentence that didn't make sense, he never answered if he meant something else. So you find me more compelling to vote for than Alistair Pear or Hazel Hazelnut? I think you are trying to draw attention away from your buddies and onto me.

If Bruce Spruce hadn't just changed his vote to Alister Pear, I might have. As it is, this whole thing with Alister Pear and Hazel Hazelnut, Betty Birch and Bobby Beech has me trying to decide who is the most maple treeish and deserving of my vote.

It's not her not being active, its the voting a random player. Honestly that is maple tree behavior! We have plenty of time for voting, plenty of time for Hazel Hazelnut to fully catch up.

Well, good morning to all! And what a lovely sunny day it is. What a way to wake up than to find out that some of the male trees stayed up till all hours of the night (those in different time zones excluded) talking tree trash about the only female tree amongst them. I'm a female tree, in case you hadn't noticed, with all your male banter going on, so of course I'm fluffy. Day one is supposed to be fun and fluffy! And I do sleep, at night time, which I did. Now I will say that I find Waldorf Walnut and Bruce Spruce suspicious for what seems like trying to get rid of me. As they are the instigators of the tree trash talk about me.

I wasn't sucking up. It really was funny, but you had to be there, which I was and so was the other tree......In another forest, in another tree life, with a different tree leader..... It was a nod to a tree not with us currently in this forest.

Not really, random comments this early in the game are just that...random. Later in the game it might be more telling. This is just a game (...not really, it's life and death in the forest ... ) so go ahead and laugh.

I Am Groot! Just a random comment to see if anyone would even notice. Would a random comment help Oaks find and root out (no pun intended) the Maples? Absolutely!
