- i am old & grumpy.... - i am not judging anybody, just supporting the fact that 'teens' do not belong in an 'adult' discussion group. - i think that clowns and creampies kind of fall into the 'cutesy' category, personal opinion really. - i am aware of the 'talent' of many TFOLs, i admire their work on FlickR daily. - i made on claims of maturity, i may be an adult but i am by no means 'mature' ( i play with Lego, a children's toy). - i do not understand how the presence of numerous teens contributes to EB, quantity does not equal quality. - The purpose of Forums is for individuals to express their personal opinion about a given subject, you seem a little oversensitive to comment, i suggest you develop a 'thicker skin' before continuing to enter into communal discussion. - i am very happy for you that you are confident in your 'maturity'......

i am a GFOL (geriatric fan of Lego).... i am insulted by the mere presence of TFOL's, here on EB, let alone their damn "cutesy" Sig's..... To state "i think i am mature for...(insert age here)..." - is possibly one of the most immature statements a person can make. Make a TFOL forum for Lego culture (away from EB etc.) if it is so important to laud your status so proudly. And as you all know, their is always FlickR, totally populated with, and friendly toward, the TFOL..... Please stop murking-up the waters here on EB.....

too many people are influenced by scale in the Lego world.... in my opinion, 'big' does not often equal 'good'. i am impressed by imagination, and building technique, not by part counts. These new sets are very representative of traditional architecture models, hence the basic and rather 'plain' appearance. This does not make them bad models, just different in style to those previously released by TLG. Except (of course) Modulex..... -
Yes that is what i said. i am far more interested in new parts such as the hair pieces, hat and 'farmer' torso than any revival of the pirate theme.... Unless we get new 'sea creatures/monsters' or other new parts the revival of the theme is rather uninspiring to me. That is not to say i do not like pirates or would not welcome the return (quite the contrary), i would personally just rather see NEW themes, and no Agents is not 'new' just another re-hash (except for the new parts'.

and 10182 'Cafe Corner' is just a bunch of colored bricks.... -
Autechre - Augmatic Disport. Akiko Kiyama - Kebko in the picture.

The thing that exited me most about Sir Nadroj's photographs is the light green cap on the minifig directly to the left of the 'goldtooth' pirate.... Lego never made one in pale green before, or is it just a bad light/cameraphone thing?

"Modular Building" design style vs the older traditional "Playset" style of building design? The former is aimed at adults, and the designs reflect this, whilst the later is aimed at children and it's design style also clearly reflects this purpose. The "future" will be more of the same. i am unsure why anybody would even speculate upon the future of these products. There was no "development" as such, read the aforementioned interview with Mr Berard for confirmation of this. They are what they are. Eilif has stated anything i could possibly say in his entirely correct post.

Ummm, dont want to burst any bubbles (pardon the pun), but the japanese in that pic of the Agents Submarine set (8636) states that this set is exclusive to Clickbrick, a Lego
-
Mr GF is referring to the upcoming Agents line. That is the character based theme Lego will be producing with for the foreseeable future.

Thankyou Roger.

Yes i am aware of the existence of "bricktown talk". i have viewed that site several times. Aesthetic Elements has its own content and style. Do you get all of your news from a single source? Do you buy all of your Lego from one store? i doubt anybody does....

A new blog - "Aesthetic Elements" launched today to mark the 50th birthday of the Lego

ummm, yes, hullo...gianthooters69. welcome to the forum. i actually DO work in law. Therefore i know (or a little research would tell anybody) that with the schooling you claim to have (for whatever reason) you would be in a very advantageous position in terms of employment prospect, not on an allowance from `mom`. Why the unnecessary back story? Did you copy your profile from some whacky dating site? Most creative and amusing if you did.... Once again welcome. i hope you find what you are here for...

thankyou, and yes, VERY sloppy camera work. heh, sorry.

Oh no rider, the chain is just looped around his `neck` to secure his crates. He is like a big carrier pidgeon (only prehistoric). Aparently he is quite well trained. And i guess thats the trouble, you dont really `control` him so much as yell really loudly at him and hope for the best. i think those Minifig CITY workers may need a megaphone, perhaps a whip even! heh hmmmmmmm.

Genius design! Color matching is well thought out and executed. Pose (frontal) shows very nice overall proportions. Love the Exo - Force style articulated fingers, ready to squeeze the last bubbling breath from any Minifig foe!
