On the LMBs, Greg said that he knows all about the sets and story "for the first half" of 2015, so that implies that they'll be releasing a wave in August as well as a wave in January like they always have with Bionicle

Well, the Toa looking different can be easily explained by them still wearing the Adaptive Armor. The protectors and LOSS, as far as we know, are new entites, so explanation of why they look different isn't really required.

I suppose you must have missed this... they also posted it on their Google+ page, and the image title itself had the word "bionicle" in. Realizing their error, they later took it down and reuploaded it with a different name.

I guess so, though no more powerful than the others on his team if their golden armor serves the same purpose (which is my theory: the GBs created Golden Armor for all the Mata, but Tahu only received his because he was the only Mata/Nuva outside of the robot at that time)

I just had a thought. While the IFB sets contained minifigures, most of the rest of each set was built using CCBS parts instead of System parts. Does this mean that Bionicle playsets could return, and if so, they would be mostly CCBS-based?

It's actually pretty much full of Genwunners. Half the discussion there is about nostalgia (read: 01-era) stuff, and the other half how cancerous and toxic a certain other online Bionicle community is (not EB). Back on topic though, one day to go until the big reveal! Anyone got any idea what time of day they usually make big announcements?

If we got a written confirmation on the theme's return on Friday, and nothing more, that would be utterly pointless. It's already 300% confirmed returning and is common knowledge now to everyone everywhere, so if we didn't see something new it'd be a huge letdown. I wouldn't mind it if they revealed, say, one set a week up until release... that would at least give us something to tide us over.

The Kraata are far from extinct, the only ones that were destroyed were the ones outside the robot when Tahu activated his golden armour.

The protector's boxes also say "Protecter of [element here]" on the sides, which is quite the blunder, but again these are prototypes so that doesn't mean nought.

Not all of them... only the ones of the Rahkshi outside the robot at that time Uh... how does the inclusion of the Ignika (which is still in the story and doing great) and Kraata (ditto) hint towards a reboot?

Pohatu's boomerangs/claws remind me of the propellers/drills that his adaptive armour gave him in Karda Nui. I wonder what environment he's in here... obviously something that warrants the use of boomerangs

There is an Earth Tribe on Spherus Magna, though we never got to see it in story because it was on Bota Magna. Maybe it will come into play somehow, now that Spherus Magna has been reformed and all.

Yeah, I'd less disappointed if they did a Star Trek 09 on it, and made it an alternate universe with someone from the main maybe paying a visit in the vein of Old Spock (Vezon perhaps)?
