Hey, I think this is a great idea, here are my thoughts. Setting/year: For me, I think within the next 100 years would be a good timeframe. The setting would be a few months after the incident. Cause: Accidental/Y2K-esque, not a war. Area: The downtown core of a city, with many of the buildings destroyed. Buildings: A fortified plaza, along with some partially collapsed office buildings. Features Recycling. No, not green bins everywhere, but reusing objects for a different purpose than their original. People: A ragged group of survivors. Only one type of none human enemy, I.E. Zombie, Humanoid, etc. Scenes An opposing group of survivors attempting to get in an steal supplies.

Nope. He's trying to deceive you; he's actually living on Mars. -
Well, I'm trying to go, but it seems unlikely. If I don't have exams that weekend, then I might fly in, but I doubt I'll be bringing many MOCs . And that's only if I'm lucky.... And Hinckley, tell your boss that you need some "inspiration"

Happy birthday Ralph! Have fun, and get lots of Lego.

Are you using a Mac? If so, just right click the image he PM'd you, and press "save to iPhoto library." Once in iPhoto, select the image, then click on file, and click on "export." When a window pops up, it'll have a space that says "kind." click the bar and select Jpeg. I suggest exporting to your desktop. Once exported, drag the file into iPhoto, and it should import itself. You can then upload it directly from your computer onto Eurobricks. I hope this helps . -
Murder On the Emerald Express: Chapter 11

Does it not seem odd to anyone that these two people are so eager to go into an old, derelict building? I mean seriously, how often do you find someone who wants to enter an abandoned building, that for all we know could have traps set to kill us. But, since they insist, I think we should let them go first . -

Well, I can confirm that I can play, though I'm having some trouble with the avatar ... -
I actually agree with Posades, though I have some suggestions of my own for this system. 1) Only one good "rep" and one bad "rep" could be given per day. This might help diminish the chance of someone's ranking getting skyrocketed by friends, and help moderate the difference between members. 2) Before a bad "rep" can be issued, it has to be moderated. Granted, this could take a huge amount of time, if all members used this function daily, but I think it'd be worth it.

I agree, we might as well get something done tonight..... -
I trust you, they probably just sold out of them.
-
Hmm.... I called yesterday, but they said they didn't have any....
-
Do you recall which ones exactly? Also, when did you see them?

No, some of the workers that are on strike are the garbage workers, which is why garbage isn't getting picked up. The reason they are striking is because their contract is up, and the workers want a better deal for the next 4 (?) years. What I don't understand is why the garbage is getting more attention, even while paramedics are also on strike . In other news, has anyone around the GTA seen any of the summer release sets yet? The TRU at Yonge-Eglinton only has the windmill, the new Power Miners set and the exclusive Space Police set.

Murder on the Emerald Express: Discussion

Sorry I haven't been very active in the last chapter, I was at my cottage, where I had to attempt to steal my neighbours internet, which more often than not didn't work. -
Wow, I must seem pretty lucky to all of you . All I have in the way of pests are the occasional ant or centipede-type creature. I've never had mice in or around my house, and (Hopefully) never will. Though we might have a higher chance of mice now, what with this garbage strike and everything. We do have one little rabbit that is only spotted every-so-often - and only at night, but it's outside in the garden. Funnily enough, I'm actually at my cottage right now, which is one of the old no TV type ones, and we often have mice problems here, but luckily none this year (Knock on wood).

Congratulations everyone, you've all done outstanding work and deserve this!

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'll be able to go next year, as it'll coincide with my exams . If I do get to go, which I hopefully will be able to, I'm not entirely sure how I'll bring any MOCs. I urge anyone and everyone who can to go, you will not regret it.

For the last time people, there aren't, and probably won't be, any Lego stores in Canada ! In other news, how are you fellow Torontonians dealing with the garbage strike?
-
I wish they'd open some official Lego stores in any of Canada, but, unfortunately, when I emailed customer service, they promptly replied by saying that Lego has to plans to open any Lego stores in Canada in the near future. Sorry

Hey there! Welcome to Eurobricks. The reason you don't have any PM options is because of the rash of spamming that was going on. They decided that to reduce spam, a user must acquire 10 or more posts before that user can send or receive PM messages. I hope this helps, and if it doesn't, ask a staff member.
