Hello all, I hope someone can help me with a little problem. I'm looking for somebody that does custom PAD PRINTING on mini-figures and helmet pieces (clone trooper phase 2 helmet). But of all the customizers I have contacted so far, nobody has the option of printing phase 2 helmets. If captain Rex was in the 501st battlepack, then maybe you could have a little hope of it being Commander Cody, but since we only get generic 501st troopers in the BP, you can be 100% sure the clone trooper in Soulless One is a 212th trooper.

I'm sorry, I thought this was a forum to discuss LEGO products and what we think of them. Not to attack people on a personal level for criticizing a sets design or mini-figure printing. But I will ask the admins that from now on they censor any criticizing comments if that is what you want?

Commander Gree in set 75234 from 2019 still has the same design as the 2014 - 2015 version. Its still on the shelf's in my local toy store, so they really could have just given us 501st troopers with that printing, and update the new batch after that. But no... Its like lego doesn't want people to army build. I have over 50 of the 212th guys and at least 20 of all the other 2014 -2015 clones because I was expecting them to release 501st trooper with the same print. If we even get a cody he will be a different style too then the battalion he commands... I told myself if LEGO fucks this up I'm done with it!!

OMFG, they CHANGED THE PRINTING compared too the 2014-2015 troopers!!! So disappointed... Guess it will be custom prints for me.

I think this adds a lot to the color palette of the set. I'm also a fan of brown cannons , but in this case red was the better choice. It is indeed a reference to the classic pirate sets, just like the little totem is to the Islanders theme, which is a nice touch. So far the only drawback for me are some of the mini-figures and the tan pieces used to represent sand. I like Red Beard, Lady Anchor is a fun throwback. But I don't like the design of the so called "port" and "starboard" mini-figures as well as the quartermaster Riggins mini-figure. I don't know why, but they feel a bit off to me. I guess maybe it is because they are a little less detailed in comparison to the others... Guess I'm spoiled. But the set itself looks fantastic, the designer really raised the bar for system scale set designs. The fact you can turn the shipwreck into the updated Barracuda is just phenomenal. I never had the actual ship since I'm from the Skull's Eye Schooner (still one of the best pirate ships imo.) generation, but the original Barracude is still on my wish list. All things considered I will be very tempted to buy this set, with all the throwbacks to classic pirates it will be hard to resist. Thank you to the LEGO Ideas designer and the official LEGO designers.

Same for me, I went from buying every SW system scale set (even those I did not like) and some of the UCS to buying only a hand full of sets each year.

I have bricklinked the Dropship a few years back. I think in total it cost me about €150 (shipping include) to get all the parts, stickers excluded. The most difficult parts back then where the dark blue bricks and some of the bigger white parts like 4515. I did however modify the design so its not a 100% representative compared to the original model. I think he means at 1.50 in the trailer. I agree that we need more variants of clones, this is why we don't need a 501st battle pack perse, but a battle pack in the style of 7655 would be great. 4 different clones and maybe a few special once like airborne in a vehicle set.

Its funny that those who hate on the people that want a 501st battlepack are some of those defending TLG for making the Razor Crest available for pre-order 6 months in advance with the excuse that its a set everybody wants and the show is popular... Wait a minute! Aren't those the same reasons people wanted TLG to make a 501st battle pack? OMG

I have thought about that too, knowing TLG this is a real possibility unfortunately.

We can only hope for this. It makes more sense to make figures and sets from the PT area compatible. I considered what we had before (CW printing) to be unnatural.

I feel your pain... I have over 50 of the plain Phase 1 guys, plus at least 6 or 7 of each type of Sgt., Lt., Cpt. and Com. without printed legs. Thank goodness I got my Lt. figures from the hailfire droid set, so they did not need updating. Please LEGO keep the same style of printing as the 2014 -2015 troopers on the supposed new clones!

Ooooh, so exited for this. I hope the printing of the clones (especially the 501st one) matches the one from the Utapau battle pack (75036) a few years back. Now that would be a treat.

I just hope they keep the printing of the supposed clones in this new wave unchanged from the last design, I got a small army of 212th, 41st, 91st, etc... And I would like to add some more, but I don't like mixing different styles of printing.

IF the AAT turns out to be true I hope its in between the size of the 2009 and 2015 models. Both those models are okay, but one is to big and the other way to small. Lets hope they fixed that.

I would buy it, but too many stickers... Nice review though.

Looking forward to this. I voted for the gunship in the end, but the Nebulon-B would have been great too. That being said, I think its a a safe bet that we will see a UCS Nebulon-B in the future. So I would not despair and be patient.

I want to vote for the gunship, cause I would love more clones. But I think UCS is not the way to go for the gunship and a regular systemscale set would do it better justice. For that reason I'm contemplating voting for the Medical Frigate. Also because we already got 3 gunships, and don't get me wrong, I would love an other one... Just not an UCS. I think I will put REBEL FRIEND as mini-figure to include. Then again, a UCS gunship could be made with less then 2.000 bricks for sure. This leaves a lot of room for a good amount of mini-figures (clones) that we will probably never get in any other set. What to do what to do...

Not really a fan of the flex capes, only bought one set with it and the material around the neck is way to thick imo. I like the old style more, but it certainly isn't perfect either.
