Maybe, but if it was Arkham City, wouldn't he be wearing a suit? And wouldn't he have purple sunglasses instead of a green mask? The green mask piece looks to be the old Robin face from the original Lego Batman line. Old Robin Head Arkham City Riddler

Good eye! I did some more digging. Not only is it a different color hat. The whole torso is a different print! Lots of little question marks, the large one in the center is now purple instead of black, and the question mark belt buckle is gone. Another difference: the hands aren't the same color. Pics for comparison:

For those who want more X-Men sets, I think we just got a teaser. Look at the box art in the image bellow. The drawing of the Wolverine minifigure is wearing a different outfit than the one in the set. It's not official, and the final box art might change to match the included figure, but still cool to hope!

A very nice purist figure! I agree with Praiter, if it's within your budget, pick up the Monster Fighters' hero figure with the mechanical leg. Or, just hold off for a year or two, and Lego might release the part on a Brainiac minifigure, or an official Cyborg Superman. I hope one day we get a face like you used in flesh color. Not only would it be great for Cyborg Superman, but also for the animated version of Metallo:

Happy Toy Fair! http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/main/ -These guys update their site's main page with images during the show. After the show, they group them in one area. During the show (12-15th) use the main page. Scroll down to see TF images (got the X-men set one from here). Starting tonight, when you hit the bottom of the main page, be sure to click the link "Next Page" so you don't miss any new images (right now it's still too early in the show, so you won't need to). MOD: It does say confidential on the box, but these are from the NY Toy Fair. So, I think it's okay to post the image right? If not, feel free to delete the image.

Yes! An Arkham City MOC! I got the game yesterday, played a little, and can't wait to play more. The whole thing is fantastic!! My favorite parts: *really like how you "framed" the whole piece with the gray border and batarang. *the batmobile is great! You really captured the look from the Arkham titles with the rear fins, pearl silver engine, and the overall shape. *I'm a huge fan of play features, and you have so many great ones in here: the hidden Riddler trophies, the payphone for the phonebooth killer, exploding walls with the bat-gel, the cryptographic sequencer... it just goes on and on! +1 for including video game reference in your presentation for those that haven't played the games. *the aerial takedown at the top is another nice game reference, and a great way to make the Batman minifigure stand out in your display.

This is a great MOC, and I think the modular features are the best part! The fact that you can stack the cubes vertically and horizontally is just too cool! I love that the Redbird cycle's entrance/exit can become a catwalk.

Here's a short, minute and a half video I made for the August tier of the Lego Super Heroes Contest. It features a bunch of my MOCs, custom minifigures, and official Lego sets. The music was composed in Acustica Mixcraft, and the custom animations were done in Adobe Flash. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9YfOurt2ls&feature=youtu.be Edit: any way a MOD could add "[Video]" into the topic title? I realized too late I should have put that in.

CAT 2: Eureka in the Greenhouse with Poison Ivy
phanstasm replied to Miss Kyle's topic in LEGO Licensed
Great story, and a great piece! I love how the giant vine ties all three sections together: the basement, the lab, and the roof. All the scientific instruments are fun, and you used just the right amount to keep it looking like a green house. Using a translucent flower for Ivy's experiment is really nice. I never knew you could fit teeth on the Atlantis temple seaweed. Cool! -
Wonderful! So cool to see a classic Catwoman scene. The museum is really elegant, especially with the great window. I'd love to see you expand on this piece. Instead of just one heist, make it 3 simultaneous heists using Catwoman, Ivy, and Harley Quinn. The first two show Catwoman and Ivy stealing something elegantly (Catwoman going "Mission Impossible" like you have here, and Ivy using her plants). The last one could be the comic relief, showing Harley, very un-elegantly, using her giant hammer to smash the glass case.

Haha, that last "Wheels of Justice" pic is great! All the moving parts and detailing are really nice. Even a spare tire! And using those two green minifigure legs for the rear bumper was ingenious!
-
WOW!!! This would be such an awesome set for the DC Super Heroes line - I hope Lego is taking notes. Absolutely amazing! Looks great as a batmobile, and the robot is just The hood ornament makes the piece. Aside: Oky, I saw you entered some MOCs into the Lego Super Hero contest - including that awesome Mr Freeze lab. Good luck!

Great design and execution! The coat rack in the main hall is brilliant!! The roof peak is cool too. I love that you put a box and spider inside for that extra detail. I never thought of using the Harry Potter torso for Bruce, but it really works. Nice Alfred and Nightwing minifigures too. In the Batcave Area: what set is the middle keyboard from? I recognize the left and right ones from Batman sets, and the two in the middle from a bank set, but can't place the black one in the very middle.
-
As soon as I saw the pics, I instantly thought of the flashback sequence from 'Under the Red Hood.' Great job capturing that sequence! I love the lighting effects, extra details like the spare hazmat suit, and the railing. Really ingenious to build the railing with pieces you could use to support the Red Hood tumbling backwards. Hope to see you do more 'Under the Red Hood' MOCs in the future - maybe a small scene showing Ra's al Ghul's study?

Thanks Shawn and Willybob for those great pics! So glad to see that Achris was right, and we're getting comics with some sets!! It won't stop me in the least from buying the set, but I really wish the Two Face figure had purple torso and crotch pieces. It wouldn't have been so bright, and the purple on the neck area and under the arms would have looked like shading. My one and only gripe aside, I'm loving everything about the sets!! They look spectacular! It's wonderful to see Lego going that extra mile, and making the box art unique for Superman and Batman. Can't wait to see what other heroes get that treatment. And our first look at some CGI 'Lego Batman 2' video game models. Fantastic! @Willybob: the more I look at the image of all the sets, the more it looks like it's from the back of a Lego instruction booklet - there's a staple on the right, so it's the backcover of something, and it's a group shot of sets like you'd see on the back of Ninjago, etc, instructions. ... Do you have a DC Super Heroes set already?
-
Thanks for the quick response, Achris. And a double scoop to boot (MB Spidey movie sets)! I was sure Lego would give us a new Tumbler in time for the movie, but it's great to see we'll probably get even more Bat-film goodness. At first, I was disappointed to see MB had the Spidey movie rights, but it really doesn't bother me too much. With the great Lizard Man minifigure, plus Lego Spidey comic sets, anything MB and dish out we can probably improve upon with Lego. I'll take one of everything, please - just don't forget the ship from the new GL cartoon (with Hal, Kilowog, and Atrocitus minifigures).

Great review, LuxorV. The title card you made to start the review is really nice! I really like this set. Not only is great out of the box, but you can use a lot of it for many other themes: *Marvel: the computer station as a S.H.I.E.L.D. or Hulk Buster outpost, or maybe part of Tony Stark's workshop *Batman: the color wouldn't be exactly accurate, but I could use lots of the Holley Shiftwell parts for Poison Ivy's car, "Rosebud," from the 90's cartoon *Alpha Team/Agents: guns, spy gadgets, computers... nuf said. *City: engines for planes, computer station for space, printed car eyes and mouths for carnival or amusement park attractions.

Thanks, Runamuck! Glad to hear that ROTJ is still being replaying on TV. If the show is still active, maybe Lego will stick a Batman Beyond minifigure in a set - and, even better, make his Season 1 nemesis, Blight.
-
Good eye! If I zoom in, it looks black to me. Hopefully it's the SDCC torso print for those of us that still need that figure. Any pics or press releases? I know there's a press release out about Mattel doing toys for TDKR and the new Superman movie, but I couldn't find anything similar for Lego.
-
Sorry, Oky. To answer your real question: You can enter two or more different entries in the same month. In August, Daniel Mezraev submitted multiple entries, and won third place with this: Doh! First I misunderstand Oky, then I can't properly identify the scourge of Green Lanterns everywhere. Must have been ready for bed.
-
That's true. I'm still hoping that TLG will use the SDCC exclusive Batman in a new Tumbler batmobile set. It was this line in the other press release that made me think it was possible (source: http://www.fbtb.net/2011/07/19/lego-gets-full-dc-comics-license/ ) "WB and Lego had already been producing toys and videogames around the Batman franchise, and will launch a new set of playthings around next summer’s 'The Dark Knight Rises' through the Lego Batman collection."
-
Exactly, haha, and thanks! Much appreciated, Zenn. For the BB torso, I created the image in Photoshop, printed it on label paper, covered it with a piece of clear tape (protect it from smudging, and give it more of a shine), and cut to fit. Enjoy the BB DVDs - on Season 1, 'Black Out' and 'Meltdown' are two of my favorites!
-
Oky, I'm almost positive you can. There are a number of people who have entered the same picture or video - and won, such as the Scarecrow biplane video. Though it looks like it the duplicate was deleted, the same exact Scarecrow biplane video was entered, and it won third place in the August bracket. ceroknight, Great job on your Abin Sur! Brilliant idea to use the Gringotts goblin as the basis for the head.
-
Hey, Ruslik, Great job on those Quincy Sharp decals! I really like your design for the QS minifigure: the Dumpledore face, gangster torso(?), and cane are perfect elements. Makes me even more excited for the Arkham City video game to debut on the PC. Regards, Phantasm

Thanks, Jouster, You made the day for a number of people. Can't wait, and hopefully I'll get the smallest set, the Venom Shrine, for X-mas. It'll be great for Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets MODs, or even a Batman Ras Al Ghul Lazaruz pit mod.
