You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought! Seriously, looks good, and I expect a lot of people will be making similar ships! M.

Backwards I'm just this... http://www.brickset.com/search.aspx?query=5112 :oS

Alas, 2115 is nothing... M.

Were you the guy who built that Scrooge & Marley modular offices on display at Bluewater's Lego Store? If so, very cool! M.
-
I agree, I don't think "modular" should be restricted to 16x16, given Cafe Corner and the Green Grocer are modular by style, ie, they can be separated by floors. Mind you, buildings in a street are very rarely the same colour, hence I'd never be swapping modules around! Imagine a yellow and tan modern style modular floor in the middle of Market Street!? I see "modular" as a style, with closed backs and more detailed buildings than that of normal city and town lego with their open backs, and that to gain entrance, you have to lift off the *modules*... Loving your bus! I wouldn't know where to start building that! M.

Welcome! My own Dark Age ended in 2001 when I picked up a couple of Lego Star Wars sets. I have a very patient wife who lets me indulge too, although she does get fed up with it overtaking everything. Alas, I have no sets from when I was young (I had most of the Classic Space sets...), as my mother carted it all off to the local hospital while I was at boarding school... Imagine my horror when coming home one weekend to find it had all gone for nary a penny... M.

Aye. the up/down arrow keys rotate the brick vertically. And I am a club member, even though I'm 34. :o) M.

Think you're thinking of the normal RGS, which you can either get from Peeron.com or the official S@H site... M.

Wahey, Bat-Microlite! Cool! M.

Wouldn't mind a copy of those instructions myself... Anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers, M. -
Looks cool! M.

Review: 8158 Speed Racer - Speed Racer vs Snake Oiler
LegoFranks replied to Tarfful's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm sorry, but your review has only served to further enlighten me that these sets are a pile of cack! Absolutely lazy design and the only reason I'd get one is for the windscreen so I can build a proper landspeeder from Star Wars... M. -
Ah, all I want is a simple list of what bricks were used in the model! ie. 4 Dark Orange 2x4 bricks, 2 Dark Green 1x2 brick, etc... Just so I know how much to order on bricklink! And I knew I'd heard Sarabob from somewhere! :'-( M.

The worse thing about LDD is the fact you can't really print out a list of parts so that you know how much of each you need in order to buy from Bricklink/Ebay... *sad* M.
-
Hi all, Forgive me if this has been mentioned already, but I thought I'd build the Green Grocer in LDD, so that I could tweak it and add/remove elements as required. Imagine my shock when I did a price check after getting this far...

Have already modded the cinema to fit, has a bigger screen at back, rather than the poky one on the side! Will post pictures when I have the time! M.

Where's the Norman Bates minifig? M.

One thing that baffles me, is how does Indy steer the jeep? With his mind? With his whip?! M.

Loving the Ghostbusters stuff... M.

Hmmm, I'd like to build that Outrider too, but the ISD is too expensive to buy twice! Mind you, the local department store has three that have been there for AGES.... M.
-
Looks a beaut from the instructions and from the many pictures given here! Cannot wait for it to be released! M.

Go down any high street, lets say Canterbury for today as that's where I live, and there are a myriad of varying styles and architecture! I have a modular street layout with an ultra modern firestation stuck between CC and MS. It's all in the eye of the beholder really... M.
