My order was placed on the 17th and only this morning did it get a tracking number. It still says "In Process", even though the tracking number has "Picked Up". The items in the order do now have a ship date of 21 Jan 2014. It is still going to take a while to get to New Zealand from past experience it will be at least another week.

I took some more photos to compare the gatehouses and towers. Comparing the gates houses the new castle is one brick higher (not counting the flags) and slightly wider than the Kingdoms one. To me the Kingdoms one is more aseptically pleasing because the upper section of the new castle just doesn’t look right. Comparing the towers containing the throne room, the Kingdoms one is much higher and has far less panels. The red roof on the Kingdoms tower is my favourite part of the whole castle and loved how they continued it in the joust set. I prefer the new throne though. The new castle main armament tower is slightly shorter, uses far more panels and the catapult can only fire in one direction.

Sorry about the lighting, it isn't really the way I wanted it. These are the dimensions I got: Kingdoms castle 32cm wide (40 studs), 24cm (30 studs) deep and 33cm high New Castle 35cm wide (44 studs), 28cm (35 studs) deep and 37cm high The Kingdoms castle is slightly smaller, but slightly taller. In my opinion the Kingdoms castle is much better as it has fewer panels, is more fun to build and a more pleasing design. The new castle has 21x Wall 1X4X5 W/Bowed Slit and 18x Wall 3X3X6, Wry 45 Degr. The kingdoms castle only has 16 and 6 of those panels and uses more bricks instead. Actually the walls are exactly the same height. The problem is the panels in the new castle are set higher and the connecting pins are further in (other than the rear towers of the Kingdoms castle). The walls are the same height, but the Kingdoms one is set one stud back. The Kingdoms rear towers aligns perfectly, if the torch doesn’t get in the way. I have almost all the Fanstasy era sets and all the Kingdoms sets. The Kingdoms castle is my favourite and I have three. I just wanted another different castle even if it wasn’t as good as any of the Fantasy or Kingdoms ones.You may be disappointed in the parts you get though, there is an awful lot of panels compared to the older castle sets.

Yes the five black 1x4 tiles. I accidentally used four of them where there should have been 1x3 tiles. There is still a black profile 1x2 brick missing and a dark brown black 1x4 tile leftover. I spent quite a while trying to see if I made a mistake, but could find anything else wrong.

Got the set yesterday and took six hours to assemble. Something went horribly wrong with bag 12. There were five pieces missing and five pieces that should not have been there. I have had deformed parts before, but never parts that were wrong. Edit I found a mistake and turns out there is only one missing piece and one piece that shouldn't be there.

The day after I place a big order they have a sale because it is Frodo's and Bilbo's birthday. I could have got 10% off if I had delayed. Why did did I have to go back and check, that is something I would rather not know about?

I will be happy when I get my hands on them, they haven’t sent the order yet. I ordered all of them except The Orc forge. It feels incomplete so I also ordered the Orc Forge locally with 25% off from http://www.toyco.co.nz. I also ordered two sets of POTC with 60% The Mill 4183 and The London Escape 4193. I think these sets are castle like so hopefully they will go well with MMV and MVR.I am considering getting a second 9471 Uruk-Hai Army using up credit points. Doesn’t anyone know well two Uruk-Hai Armies would go with The Battle of Helm's Deep. Does it connect well on the right-hand side?

Yes it is in US dollars, but they only ship to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and UK. If anyone is interested I suggest you do a search for coupons codes and try you own as they seem to be better coupons out there.

Looks like the shipping is a flat rate of $20. Merchandise Subtotal: $332.70 Shipping: $20.00 Tax: $0.00 $10 off $50 coupon ($10.00) Total: $342.70 Since it is under $500 NZD it should be tax free. If my calculations are correct it will be about 40% cheaper than buying here. If only they had the orc forge.

This is my combination of 1 x 7946 King's Castle and 2x 10223 Kingdoms Joust. The second stand has the Prince and Princess, but they got obscured. A view of rear showing the village composed of 7189 Mill Village Raid, 6918 Blacksmith Attack, 10193 Medieval Village Market and others. The shade of blue brick is slightly different between 10193 and 10223. The opposition Dragon Knights are not impressed.
