Scubacarrot replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
QM note: I am going to assume Cronk agrees, and hands his weapons over too. Updated Party: Cronk (played by Corneliusmurdock) Level 16 Paladin Power: 16 SP: 9 Health: 36/36 Ether: 17/17 Gold: 5 Inventory: Ennoc's Blessing (Shield, SP:7), Elaborate Helmet (SP:2), Potion x2, Holy Bomb, Phoenix Essence, Bedroll Nyx (played by Pandora) Party Leader Level 15 Battle Mage Power: 15 SP: - Health: 24/24 Ether: 20/20 Gold: 27 Inventory: Sandman's Parasol (grants immunity to sleep), Ruby(Fire), Amethyst(Darkness), Topaz(Lightning), Sapphire(Wind), Emerald(Wood), Potion x2, Remedy, Tonic x4, Holy Bomb, Bedroll, Bone x4 Atramor Gibbin (played by CallMePieOrDie) Level 14.5 Rogue Power: 15 SP: 2 Health: 21/21 Ether: - Gold: 153 Inventory: Cloak of the Elven Spy(Allows wearer to see an NPC's stats from afar), Sand Worm Hide(SP:2), Orc Potion x2, Bone Rufindel Galadhras (played by Rufus) Level 11 Cleric Power: 11 SP: - Health: 19/19 Ether: 15/15 Gold: 225 Inventory: Potion x2, Remedy x2, Bone x2, Pickaxe, Tonic x3, Bedroll, Scroll of Sealing Guard's visitor's chest: Leachfeather (WP:7 Fire, Wind, restores 2 health on hit) Zoot's Bane (WP:12, Light), Healing Staff (WP:5 Healing effect), Sword of Bashing (WP:5), Bloody Pointy Stick (WP:1) Dawnstar II (WP:9) Fauxthril Staff(WP:7) After the party hand over their weapons, the guard puts them in a chest. He then opens the prison door, while the two guards with spears are ready. After the party walks in, he closes, and locks the door. With a slight nod, the man walks off again. Inside, it is mostly quiet, the two men in blue are talking to each other quietly, and the man with the ridiculous hat is talking to himself. The skeleton is walking in circles. The rest of the prisoners are either sitting, or standing against the wall. The cell is empty, there are no benches or bunks. What does the party want to do? -

"Very well, Mario will lead you to the cells now. If you think of any more questions, come see me on your way out." The moustached guard once again leads the party through the halls of the building. At the end of another hallway, he opens two heavy wooden doors. These doors reveal stairs leading down. Mario salutes the party, and walks back through the hallway he came from. Downstairs, the party can see the cells, guarded by a couple of guards. several figures can be made out in the darkness of the cells. Another guard, holding a key, holds the party. "Aww Right. You are the fancy pants from Heroica, aren't ya? Awwrighty, here is the deal. These fellows are dangerous, and you , fancypants, are going to go in there with them. We can't be having them crooks causing any trouble, so we are going to need to take all your weapons, for safety reasons. I promise ya will get them back safe and sound when you return. I will lock the door behind you, knock on the bars when you are done. Oh, and before I forget, my shift ends in a bit, so you will only have time to talk to four of the prisoners. How do I know that? I am doing this long enough, fancypants" -

"Don't be foolish, elf. We do not have the resources to maintain a prison to keep prisoners in for a long amount of time. The only way these prisoners can escape their fate is if one of the Temples says so, one of the Houses appeals for the prisoner in question, or if their innocence is irrefutably proven." -

"Do you have any more questions? If you are done, Mario here will lead you to the jail. Before you go, take this." Captain Patricia hands a piece of Paper to the heroes: Wanted Poster - A wanted poster for a certain man called Barr Handle. "He is a criminal operating in the Harbor District, who has always managed to avoid our grasp. You heroes may want to keep an eye out for him, there is gold in it if you take him down." "Some of them were brought in before the men were too scared to go in, others were caught on the edges of the district, all can be linked to crimes, we just have not been able to connect any of them to the disappearances. They are scheduled for the hangman next week, just so you know." -

"We have received no reports of any civilian disappearances, so yes, we have reason to believe the attacks are aimed at the Town Watch directly. Homicide and general theft numbers have skyrocketed." "Actually... We have captured several suspects. We have been unable to extract anything useful from them as of yet, but our... questioner is one of the disappeared men. You might be able to gather useful information from them." -

"The watchmen are disappearing all over the Harbor District, we have managed to pin a focus of the disappearances down to a few streets, but it is difficult to say. It is hard to say where exactly they are disappearing, but we it is our best guess." Patricia pulls out a map of Eubric and points at a certain block in the Harbor District, the heroes know how to get there. "I don't suppose you have seen any high security prisons around we can use, have you? By justice I meant their heads on my desk. But when you find out who is behind this, I want you to come back here. It gives the wrong message to have Heroes play vigilante on my authority." "So far we have lost 6 patrols, of 5 or 6 men, depending if there were rookies with. All the disappearances have happened at night. As I said, it is hard to pin down an exact crime scene, and I am afraid my men have lost courage to go back in the Harbor District. As a result, crime has increased greatly in that area. I can't say I blame my men though..." -

QM note: Updated stats: Atramor Gibbin (played by CallMePieOrDie) Level 14.5 Rogue Power: 22 SP: 2 Health: 21/21 Ether: - Gold: 153 Inventory: Leachfeather (WP:7 Fire, Wind, restores 2 health on hit), Cloak of the Elven Spy(Allows wearer to see an NPC's stats from afar), Sand Worm Hide(SP:2), Orc Potion x2, Bone Rufindel Galadhras (played by Rufus) Level 11 Cleric Power: 15 SP: - Health: 19/19 Ether: 15/15 Gold: 225 Inventory: Fauxthril Staff(WP:7), Potion x2, Remedy x2, Bone x2, Pickaxe, Tonic x3, Bedroll, Scroll of Sealing The guard turns to Nyx and says: "Oh well thank you, Lady Nyx, I groom it every day. It is a lot of work, but you get what you pay for! But I digress, this not why we are here. Come, I will bring you to the Captain, now you are all here. She will want us to hurry." The moustached guard leads the party inside the barracks. It is quite plain, with wooden floors and grey stone walls, with the only decoration being banners in the colours of the Town Watch: Red and Blue. The heroes see doors on both sides of the hallway they walk through. Most of them are closed, but some allow a look inside. The party sees empty beds, and a only a few guards. At one point, the heroes can see through to a courtyard, where a few dummies are installed, but no one that is using them. Eventually, the party reaches a door in the end of a hallway, the moustached man knocks. A female voice is heard: "Yes, yes, come in already!" The party, and the moustached guard enter the room, which seems to be an office of sort. The room is furnished simple, but functional. A women is sitting behind a desk. The woman speaks: "Ah, you must be the lot from Heroica Hall. Lady Nyx, Ser Cronk, Rufindel the elf, and the fellow with the hat must be Gibbin. Very well. I am Patricia, Acting Captain of the Eubric Town Watch. I have asked for your help. You see, we are in a bit of a pickle..." Captain Patricia sighs, shakes her head, and continues: "Simply put, my men are disappearing. They walk around the corner of a street, and the next moment they are no longer there. We have not found any trace of the missing men, and we have used every resource available to us... except for Heroica. We want YOU to find out what happened, and who is behind the disappearances." With a slightly sterner voice, she adds: "I can not pay you enough to bring the culprits to justice, so any of that would not be under our responsibility, after you know what happened, I want you back here!" Continuing with her normal voice, she says: "I am sure you have questions, I will do my best to answer them, so fire away." -
I agree, I must say that you can put a lot on one page, and adding pages for everything is not really helping. But thats just my opinion...

Does he technically have no body... would be kind of hard to strap things onto...
-
Oh! That gives me an idea! why don't you strap all the bombs you can find on Spag, and make him run into the middle of the enemy ranks! it is perfect!

Guts watches how Dak walks into a wall, and frowns, perhaps his brain damage was worse than the party had thought. Ooc: We can't go forward -
Thanks! I have not decided what city it is yet, I do not think Qarkyr, as it is in the mountains... I'll think of something when I make the next MOC in this series. The wall was done intentional to make it look like an impenetrable wall, but you are right, the pictures in particular make it look bland. I think I might add a climbing plant, or maybe like a crack in the wall. What I would really like is the same brick in other earthy colours, but they do not exist, unfortunately Thanks! I was thinking about adding a few more pieces at the top of the gatedoors, but I do not have any more of those curved brown pieces.. May try to find a solution for that as well.. Thanks much Thanks! Perhaps the other guy told him a joke

My fellow guildsmen, I am here to tell you about my visit to one of our great cities, here is part one, the gates: Link Lord Shale -
Hello, this is something I build last weekend, I had fun making it, and may expand it in the future. Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, I only have access to my phone for them at the moment... Lord Shale visits a city, and meets with Captain Gladius of the Elite Archers (which does not mean they only use bows!). The Gate itself, it is guarded by two of the Elite Archers. A shady character is dealing with a merchant who set his stall up outside the gates. Smart, since the gates are locked after dark, and everyone has to wait until morning to get in the city! Someone has to do it... The wall is well defended... The archers are precise and deadly, it would be stupid to cause any trouble outside the gates. Lord Shale with his bodyguards, even though he does not fight himself. it does not mean he is helpless. His bodyguards are trained swordsmen, and their swords are razor-sharp! Looks like someone did not get over their loss at the Drow Games... Thanks very much for watching, I hope you enjoyed it, as much as I did building it. Comments, feedback and Criticism are greatly appreciated!

It is not a short walk, but it is a lovely afternoon, and the heroes do not encounter any trouble along the way. Arriving at the building, they see a moustached guard outside, who greets them: "Hello Heroes! We are very happy you could make it! If you can just confirm that you are all here, I will take you inside to see the captain." QM Note: Please check if your stats are correct, also please tell me if you did any last minute shopping.
-
The same man that had stormed in the hall earlier, runs in the hall, and reads from a scroll: "It has come to our attention that the delay of picking the heroes for our quest was unwarranted, repercussions will surely follow!" He clears his throat, trying to radiate authority, but failing, he continues: "The chosen heroes are as following:" Rufindel Galadhras (Rufus) Atramor Gibbin (CallMePieOrDie) Cronk (CorneliusMurdock) Nyx (Pandora) *Party Leader* "Please finish any last minute shopping, and check in at the specified location within 24 hours." With that said, the man runs out of the hall, not looking back. Quest thread will be up in the morning.

Congratulations Gabe, another deserved win, hehe. My dyslexic got the better of me again, I honestly thought you spelled it 'Kaiphilin' from the beginning, I feel stupid. -

"Kid, you need to quit yapping, and start using your head. If the mage would be able to open some kind of 'secret' passage, I'm sure he would have let us know, he does not seem the type for secrecy about this sort of thing, hell, the only thing he is hiding must be his baldness under that ridiculous hat. You question the nature of these spiders, yet you were totally okay with that giant lizard, back in that other place?" Guts rolls his eyes, giant spiders were the least of his worries now (the largest was how to obtain a bottle of fine wine in this hellhole), there was something going on here, that part was right. Guts knew one thing for sure, when he got out of here, he would punch that Steward guy in the face. -
Hello, in separate guild-topics, there has been talk about creating Wikia pages, to make the massive amounts of knowledge related to this project easily accessible. Since I think making separate Wiki's for different guilds is not really necessary, I have gone ahead and started a wikia for the Guilds of Historica as a whole. The link is the following: http://guildsofhistorica.wikia.com/ Anyone can contribute to the Wikia, and the way you do that is just as simple as writing a post here on EB. I encourage people to contribute, as it will make information easily accessible. Things you can think about adding to the Wiki: Your character's backstory. Information about locations, cities, organizations etc. Information about past challenges Stories you thought up. Of course there are many more things you could add to the Wiki, and it is really easy to do! You do need to make an account to add things, but that is not hard to do. If you have any questions, please go ahead and ask.
