  4. I really don't see a need to up the gold for upgrading shields, I think the curve that is already there added to the fact that Quest rewards have not increased terribly with level make it so that there is enough challenge to it.

Note that the scum tried to kill fhomess night 4, if that would have succeeded, I'd say Masked should have been next, yes (I think that's what I would have done, is what I meant by that) but remember that Shadows would probably have been protecting Masked if fhomess was succesfully killed?( I think, anyway?). But also, Masked only got town results . I don't think Rufus was a very tactical kill, swils, could you maybe remind why that was, I forgot . I'm sure there's a reason, but I don't know it anymore. But everything is easier to say in hindsight.

  12. I don't think that's a good idea, that would make Knight's incredibly weak at a later stage in the game, unless they find sufficient and regular drops of SP equipment. .
  13. That's a cool mechanic and all, but if you use it too much, there is less reason for progression, which is not really what you want as well, I think.

  15. So what do you think about the 1 damage rule? No one gives any good reason not to have it. Jeb makes some good points, but a matter of targetting negates that, unless all enemies have these effects in a battle... Balancing the party is not a good argument, that would mean you either need a party full of Knights, or a party without a Knight to be able to avoid the instant kills, won't it? And let me just say this: If an enemy is able to kill you in one shot from full health, it's not a good enemy.

  17. Depends on the effect and the wording of the special/weapon.
  18. Of course that's balanced. No it does not defeat the point of SP. Ok, it defies logic, a rat should be able to keep attacking an armored knight until the end of time without anything happening, sure. But it is bad game design. Here is why: If a knight is fighting a poisoned enemy on his own. He could just wait until the end of time. Enemies will slaughter other party members if you try and make a challenging enemy that is able to deal a reasonable amount of damage to the knight, without resorting to piercing SP. Do you actually really want to have a player that is actually invincible? Don't think so. It's actually not hard for QM's. Really now. It does NOT make it worthless to upgrade SP, over a certain point in comparison with health and level, out of which the enemies will go, sure, but that already exists. I haven't heard anything against it, yet, really.
  19. So instead of making things balanced we are going to have instant kills or boring specials. Sorry, but it is an excellent rule, quite frankly, and I would really like to use it. I don't see why not, all I can think of are reasons to have it.
