Designing a battle for a party is not the same thing as making every monster be able to hit everyone and immunities not matter.
-
Then you are disagreeing with me. And that specialization is something I would love to see more enough. Not everyone should be able to do everything, in fact, no one should be able to everything. How can you force that? Beat people until they will do it by themselves, in friendlier words: Make battles harder.
-
I disagree, I think you should change your view from: I am making myself stronger, to: I am personalizing this aspect. This is true because as you level up, get stronger equipment: get more stats, so do your enemies. As we continue on, we see more specialized heroes. Healers, damage dealers, damage absorbers, buffers, debuffers, etc. To me the game would feel incredibly stupid if you could do a certain thing and be immune to 90% of what comes your way, which is what would happen if there were the same sets of enemies for every group that would do a certain quest. That said, I must admit to not yet really having seen a party, that was advanced enough to have a role distribution, have enough real difficulty with something. Nyx dying over and over again does not count, because that's just chance, there's nothing you can do about it. I will try, and try is the keyword, to really put the party through their paces.

I disagree completely. I think you should balance for the party, it will create much more interesting, potential personalized battles.

Guts doesn't have aim, he has steal. "Grrr. Keep at him." The raider sheaths Lifestealer, and gets out the big weapon. The man would have to feel his end. Guts attacks Lord Marsh with his halberd, and spends two turns doing nothing.

Yeah okay that was I was thinking.

Question, what would happen if someone were to have the Death Mask and the Red Assassin cloak?
-
Thanks! ... Maybe. Your build is really awesome, and there could definitely be slightly questionable druids out there, but to give it perhaps a connection to Heroica, what you could do is say your build is in an ingame location, for example, the Eubric Forest, The Murkwood or the Mopag Forest, also what you could do is perhaps add in a hero or two that may be coming for advice or perhaps the druid themself is handing a quest or the target of a quest?

Heroica RPG 2nd Anniversary Building Contest - Entry Thread

The Stone Hammer, Strivvian Blacksmith. They say there are two groups that claim the title of best blacksmiths in the world: The Dwarves, and the Blacksmiths from Strivvi. Derek Steelfoot combines the best of both worlds. The Strivvian dwarves runs a smithy that serves all your needs. Wether you need a pot repaired, you are looking for a new, custom darksteel axe, or you just need a simple weapon upgrade, the Stone Hammer has got you covered. There are always clients waiting, and in the scorching Abran Sun, that is done best with a cold drink. -
Damn it Zepher, if you could overcalculate my damage when we don't have to keep someone alive, that'd be great. Someone tell me if I am not talking nonsense, but Guts should be doing ((Level 27 + 1 Bonus Power + WP: 29) x 2 Darkness Elemental x 2 Encouraged = 228 Damage) Right? Edit: Okay nevermind. apparantly raiders got buffed. I was unaware of that fact.

Guts curses as Lady Marsh jumps in front of his blade when he is about to finish off Marsh. Her eyes turn dull as she falls to the ground, her face quickly turning grey, her belly open and bleeding. In the corner of his eyes, he sees Nyx blasting Marsh to pieces. He did not come up here to do a less than perfect job. This was not supposed to happen. There must be something he could do. Then, the raider remembered. The trinket around his neck. The same as the ring he pulled from a dragon's nest. Supposed to turn back time briefly, to have a different outcome. No idea if it worked, but the time travelling business certainly did. Time to start praying to Pseudos, Mercutio and all the rest. For a trinket to do it's job. Guts places his hand on his necklace, and activates it's power.

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis: Discussion

Hold up, I remember you saying you would roleplay your second character when you got it. So that statement just now makes no sense. -
Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis: Discussion

Well, everyone, right? If the Nephilim win, I assume they flee and turn up as bosses in the actual game, if Heroica wins, something happens to cause an empty hall. Probably Lucifuge being a gigantic meanie. -
"Just make Marsh explode into a million pieces, would you." The raider grumbled at Nyx.

"In battle, out of battle, it doesn´t matter." The raider sounds annoyed. "Did that seem like she got her senses back to you? I gave her enough to cure the Blue Plague, she still seemed full of it. I´m not carrying out pointless commands."

Guts should have 86 more gold. He should not be inspired by the way, I think reinforced is the one he is. Also I think you calculated my attacks wrong. 57 times 4 I count 228 damage. Guts repeats his attacks.

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Three
Scubacarrot replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Yeah, but according to Fleyra, he should have done a bunch of damage, which strokes with the fact that your attack took him out, so I think we still should have seen an arrow in the dragoon, but I don't know...- 343 replies

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Three

Right. Hide. Be selfish. How are you going to be useful if all you are going to do is hide, instead of dealing with allegations. Seriously. As for Retak, I'd assume you'd need weapons or gems or whatever to give your minions before they can attack? Suspicious... Suspicious... Enya, care to answer the question I asked you before, it's important?- 343 replies
