Thanks for the replies: i'm not new to Lego, my return from dark age was a Bricklinked "Cafè corner" and now I almost finished a 10179 modified Millennium Falcon about 6000 pieces. I am new to Lego technics so my confusion about the choice come from this: i'd like something challenging but I wondered also which could be more enjoyable after the build.

Brick and Pieces is slow but it will arrive: 100$ difference is enough for me to wait more time. -
Bricklinking the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon :-)

Photos don't give the exact idea of the model size; you can find a few images on the Web of someone with the falcon on his arms that conveys the idea of the size. -
I'm Falcon owner too( build in progress, but almost finished) and i'm very interested about these lights.

In my opinion, with all the mods, Dave's falcon is the best Lego reproduction of the studio scale replica. He modded also all the internal structure to fit an iterior: I you decide to to go only for the engine mod like me, you have to change only the rear part of the structure. If you want i have some pics taken during the build.

Yes there is a better way to do it, but it involves a lot of rear modifications. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/11988796@N02/sets/72157639941440604/
