Hi all, just sharing my latest LEGO Ideas project. After finishing my E type convertible project, I thought I’d try something different. This turned into a year-long challenge. Cramming everything into a tiny build that actually walks was far harder than expected, but it finally works. There’s a video of it walking in the link. Thanks for the kind words. My folks challenged me put the wind up at the top and dead center. That was the most difficult part and had to use lots of .5 technic pieces.

I like to share my latest project "Wind-up: Speed Champions SEAT 800". I was always curious on how wind-up actually works and if it could be combined with a LEGO car. I selected the SEAT 800 because it had such a special history and the proportion was just right for the wind-up mechanism. At this scale, there aren’t many small curved pieces to choose from, so the sausage ended up being the perfect fit for shaping that rounded front end. I imagine LEGO designers run into the same thing with Speed Champions (or any small-scale build) — you’re often limited by what a single piece can provide in terms of both structure and appearance. In a way, that restriction actually makes the design choices easier.

I’d like to share my latest MOC a Speed Champions–style convertible roadster. I took inspiration from the Jaguar E-Type when designing this roadster, aiming to capture the sleek curves and classic feel in the Speed Champions scale I wanted to capture the feel of a classic open-top sports car in the compact 8-stud format. i did model it after the e type. Good eye! I would have to change the exhaust and the bulge on the hood to run longer.
