  5. I guess I forgot to post on it over at CC, so I'll do it here. Good work on the interior the pattern on the floor and the stain glass window really stand out to me. I also like the swords crossed behind a shield. Keep up the good work
  6. I'm hoping to have a entry for the Valholl micro scale contest. If I have enough time to make it. All of a sudden life got busy
  7. Well done I really like the bottom of your tower, good luck in the contest
  8. Great work! I especially like your walls on the gatehouse , Forgotten Falls really has a nice sense of peacefulness too. Looking forward to your "massive MOC"
  9. I really like all the different ways you use the log bricks Very inspiring builds, glad to have you as Leader of Mitgardia
  10. Thanks for the comments SilvaShado I thought it captured the feel I was going for pretty well, though I don't think you can build any simpler
  11. Thanks! I took these pictures on my solar porch. I came up with an idea for the 3rd challenge, so I will be starting that soon.
  12. There is a slight difference, though I'm not really sure why, they should sit even. But that is one of the costs of putting an interior in it Edit: After looking at it, it must not have been sitting level. The vertical difference is practically nil in real life.
  13. This was made for the CIC over at LCC (Lands of Classic Castle) Pepin Martel is the son of Charles "the hammer" Martel, and his wife Marie. Charles is a master craftsmen a fact he proudly displays on his house. He earned his title "the hammer" when a gang of thieves attacked him and some other craftsmen while they were working. They surely would have been slain, being far outnumbered. But Charles sprung upon the brigand's leader and with one blow smote him down. The other thieves seeing this fled. To this day he has kept that hammer to remind him what bravery can do. Pepin is 13 yrs. old, and Charles decided to apprentice him out instead of teaching Pepin himself, so that Pepin isn't given any unfair advantages and to teach him independence. Pepin is excited about his apprenticeship to a master craftsman, and is seen here about to set off on his journey. The Martels' gardener has served them faithfully many years, and is sad to see Pepin leaving. Here is the Martels' house More pictures including a full interior are here http://www.flickr.com/photos/66620538@N04/sets/72157629535263869/ Any feedback, criticism, or advice welcome! Credit for the roof design goes to DC
  14. This is a Hold Up Theme: Western/Town? Minifigure: Bandit Description: The bandit strikes again! He would be standing on the single stud. This is my first vignette, and C&C in the discussion thread would be welcome
  15. Round 3 sounds like it will bring in a lot of creative MOC's Now I just have to come up with an idea...
  16. Thanks, my future builds should be much better.
  17. Interesting twist, keep going with the story!
  18. Great work again I can definitely see myself wanting this set for the tunnel feature. Very well built, too bad Lego doesn't make sets like these anymore
  19. Usually I would just have to try and describe the part I was looking for (to my siblings). But we did call these up and downers. Makes sense I guess.....
  20. I use a lot of inverted slopes, but you definitely can't have to many basic bricks. Some 1x1 modified brick with stud and 1x2 tiles can add some nice texture.
  21. Yeah, I plan on starting the next challenge sooner, but I won't be making very many BL orders in the near future. The link in my first post has a close up of one of the branch tops. I used lots of these to make them in green of course. Thanks for the comment
  22. Great fight descriptions! Glad to see that Beorn at least made it a couple of rounds
