Quick status update: I was able to lift it by one hole, but now it aint so sturdy as it was and also it looks now bit off. But it was quick change so maybe I will make it as variant. More info and stuff later this week as this is maturita week and I dont want to make it for me harder later, so now I have 100% focus on maturitas

Well suspension travel is about two studs and I am modeling it in slammed state. Also in reality axle is not parallel with frame-it is tilted slightly nose down. Sadly there are not much options how to make travel longer-The way how sphocks are mounted already limits it to technicaly current state. Although this model aint about suspension but sooner about whole and particulary 4-speed sequential gearbox Definetly go for it-it is actualy quite good "theme". And it is even better idea after we got RSQ e-tron Dakar tires

Well, somehow it still keeps accelerating so only remaining parts are chassis, half of gearbox and half of front axle. And thats it. Maybe tomorrow, but not later than Thursday it should be done

Oh nice. Main reason why I was affraid of halftracks are wheel/sprocket+track diameters to make correct ratio.

Oh man, that instruction editing takes too much time but nonethless I hope that it will pay off. Well if I figure out tax thingas. Because when I searched Rebrickable, this could be considered as paid MOC and maybe popular-because chassis is kinda universal so it can be any truck that participated on Dakar in few last years (not counting Tatra trucks, they have legendary and in Lego form problematic central tube chassis). However if tax thinga will fail, then I will simply publis it as free as I feel that it is worth of sharing. EDIT: Well, process is slowly accelerating, I have approx half of steps done. Not LEGO perfect but will do. Now whole thing has about 490 pages and I am not finished yet.

As fellow Farming Simulator player I am looking forward to result of this project. I haven't seen much AWD halftracks by the way, so it is even more interesting. I had myself built few "tractors" (better said something pretending to be tractor) with motorized functions and it is really challenge to pack everything neatly even when doing it off-scale.

Good news! LDD model is done, as well only chassis model-technicaly it is universal chassis so you can build only chassis by instructions and body you can do own-DAF, De Rooy Iveco (they are bit different from MMT Ivecos), Scania, etc. Even cabovers. Bad news are that due LDD being LDD not all panels are on their places as two half pegs because collisions. Oh, and swingarms from axles are not connected too as in reality thanks to plastic flex they can be attached, same as angled panels on bonnet sides MM Technology EVO4 factory new (not factory team livery, this way it looks if you would buy it from them) Universal Dakar T5 chassis, roughly 1:11 if I remember correctly. Stud.io conversion will come in few days and instructions/rebrickable page idk when-depends if I figure out tax thingas and how to make better instructions, even Stud.io aint sometimes perfect

Another status update: chassis, fenders and bonnet are fully digitalized, now I am working on cab. Built version is not perfect so I am redesigning it little bit to look better, mainly in door department. Also bonnet in digital model has two angled panels placed bit differently due to colisions but in reality they are almost not bended so in long term no problems. Since now I don't need to have in front of me whole thing I can comfortly work from my table... EDIT: Cab is now done, so last part is remaining-rear superstructure to be done

Last progress update from today: gearbox was succesfully modeled and frame is almost done too. However I noticed weird front stance so I redid also front suspension little bit (shortened links from axle to frame because they were pushing axle too much) and also I fixed wobbly fenders (till now they were attached to frame only on one point so there was quite play in them). I have definetly enough for today. Luckily that we got back half-year holidays back (one day aka tomorrow but still something). This was my surgery table for 8 hours

Even better news: I located source of problems with 3rd gear-when I was building gearbox I pushed one axle not enough into extender and thus there was space for gear to move by little bit. But even this bit was enough to overcome selector plate and jump out of gear. I solved it and as prevention I also changed type of axle-from krydsaksel (that yellow 4 long axle with divided ends) to regular stop one so even if it would push out axle (which is now even harder) somehow, then rear strut on gearbox would come apart so it would be visible that something aint OK. I assembled chassis back to functional state and tried everything and this time it works properly. Also I used this opportunity to model it, so now is remaining half of gearbox, which is hardest part.

After hour and half of work I detached step dow gearbox, partialy disassembled it, modified it, assembled it and result seems to be sturdy enough that even gorila will not twist it. Harder part comes now-main gearbox. (and also paralel modeling in LDD as it is quite complicated) And this way looks disassembled truck

I pooked my nose around cracking noise from third gear, as problem with step down gearbox is identified. After few test I found out that selector thinga jumps out from gear under even small load. Weird is that no other gear does this. I have in plan totaly disassemble bodywork, remove axles and hub stuff to get to gearbox and make it more sturdy in step down segment and figure out how to solve that damned 3rd gear. Status update after 2.5 week: Well looks like my fix of 3rd gear caused domino effect and whole new list of issues appeared. I got to them now thanks to half year on school (load of tests previous 2 weeks, now just relax), although maturita exams are even closer so situation is not much better. But to the topic: I wanted to make video of driving it through various stuff but that plan crashed immediatly after I tried to cross seam between carpets on 3rd gear-something got crackin. I have stopped, checked everything and tried to get going once again. And guess what? Again cracking. I did another check and decided to do hill test (other gears were ok, even 4th which I was expecting to be more problematic, in reality troublemaker is 3rd) in 1st gear. 40° was limit-frint didnt had enough traction and when slightly pushed into plank, cracking once again reappeared. I did more runs and every time cracking noise but from different places. First culprit was step-down gearbox, especialy central diff. Despite using new one, it somehow kept pulling appart. After diff switch (probably this one was weirdly assembled) cracking continued but now not from diff inside but from gear powering diff. I confess, this part of gearbox aint as sturdy as could be and that immense torque was twisting it. When it was twisted enough, tooths jumped and cracked and whole thing repeated. Tomorrow I will send more images as I am now already in bed. But I am not sure if it is in my ability to solve any next issues after step down will be fixed. Because there is whole A4 page what next can go wrong, while 90% is related to gearbox, which will be pain to fix as it is integrated into frame. For those willing to help I could send LDD/io file, but only probably after 2nd February

No problem but to be honest there is not lot of suspension travel. Also no diff locks at all, only insane reduction but I can try to make some course
