The minifig lineup being: Lilo, Stitch, Nani, Jumba & Pleakley would be ideal, not sure how much the budget allows for though. I know she isn't a movie character, but I could also see them including Angel (Experiment 624), I've been seeing an increase in Lilo & Stitch merch on shelves lately and she has a disproportionately large presence in that, to the point where you'd think she was the secondary lead of the franchise. I'm also kind of hoping that Lilo gets dual-molded short legs, using a 1x2 brick for her legs just looks weird to me

Since we're on director talk, I'm genuinely surprised that Andy Muschietti was chosen for the Batman and Robin movie. I found most of the creative decisions in the Flash movie to be completely off-putting in regards to aesthetics, tone, and I guess the general sensibilities of the whole thing. Never let bro cook again -
I looked up bts photos from the beach scene, Harry's jacket does look blue both with and without the movie's colour grading, not sure how they landed on brown. Also kind of strange that Draco uses the sweater + white shirt torso that the old guy from Home Alone had, when they could have just used his suit from the 2023 Room of Requirement set. I do like the look of the Manor set overall though, hope the interior is somewhat decent

Do people generally like the costume design? A lot of the choices seem unnecessary to me, like the random lines over it and kneepads for whatever reason, a little too MCU-ish for Superman Regarding Krypto, I'm not really into dogs or that whole culture so I probably wouldn't have cared for whatever breed they went with, but I think the idea was for it to resemble the dog that James Gunn personally owns. For better or for worse, he seems to draw quite a lot from the dynamics and relationships in his own life and put it into the stuff he writes/directs. I don't think the DC theme should get a massive location-based set until the theme properly gets back on its feet, the Daily Bugle and Avengers Tower only got the amount of minifigs that they did since most of them were already in production, DC doesn't have anything close to that yet. Still ain't trusting that Gambit guy -

There are a lot of rumours circling around, it probably isn't worthwhile to dwell on posts by a random Instagram account who just sprang up overnight and started throwing out claims. For those following both Marvel and DC, I think if the upcoming Galactus set does turn out to be comic-based rather than MCU, then Superman has almost no chance at getting movie-based sets. -

Treat it like an actual reboot of the theme, don't avoid making certain characters because you assume people will already have minifigs of them A classic, comic-booky vibe & aesthetic - opt for the more recognizable looks for most of the characters, so probably nothing like this Two-Face with his Rebirth outfit Set waves should be a mix of location-based playsets at various sizes, hero/villain-themed vehicles, as well as more gimmicky stuff like mechs Since half of the DCU is going to be r-rated or otherwise harder to market to kids, don't tie sets to specific media too much, but release comic-based sets around the time of movies and tv shows like they did with Suicide Squad in 2016 Follow a similar trajectory to the 2012-2017 releases of sets, starting with the more basic Batman villain stuff alongside the iconic JL members, and then going a bit more obscure with the hero/villain picks Maybe throw in random civilian minifigs using parts from other themes, to make the world feel more alive Make fun comic tie-ins/ads like this - -

The penultimate scene of Episode II and its consequences... -
Were these specified to be actual revivals of a theme or something like a one-off set in the Icons line, like an upscaled Mystery Machine? Either way, I think some Stranger Things sets to coincide with the final season could be a strong possibility, unless the age rating has increased. Spongebob, Scooby-Doo, and TMNT are also solid options, since they've never really faded from pop culture generally, and don't necessarily need to be tied to a new movie or show. Or it might not even be a licensed theme, maybe Lego was testing the waters with Johnny Thunder in those city sets (watch it be a full-on Vidiyo revival)

This year's 'super' battle pack that revived the B2s was one of my favourites in terms of character ratios (and the fact I could find it on sale), it's nice to just get the basics sometimes without any niche variants. If Lego were to make another one in that price point, I wonder how many troops would be on each side, do 2 Battle Droids and 3 Super Battle Droids work out to be worth 4 minifigs? I think that Lego should avoid printing battle damage on figures unless it's specifically part of the design, like the Night Troopers. Overall versatility seems more important than specific scene-accuracy, and often certain printing choices can ruin the chances of that, like Anakin & Obi-Wan's burnt torsos. (I also kinda hate their pilot headsets) -

We're now at the point where there are so many movies and shows that literally every year could be the 10th, 20th, 25th, etc. anniversary of something, and I really doubt all of them will be acknowledged. The years most likely to get specific anniversary celebrations are probably 2027 (50 Years of Star Wars), and 2029 (30 Years of Lego Star Wars) I think the best way to go is just to never let too many years pass without having the most important/iconic characters, vehicles or scenes represented in sets. Kinda real for this one, although a little ironic coming from someone with your name + pfp I see people act like it's a travesty that certain vehicles or troopers have never been made by Lego, and the way they talk about them you'd think they had some massive presence within the franchise, it's pretty jarring to look it up and find out they have like 2 seconds of screen time in Revenge of the Sith or The Clone Wars -

Iron Man has been confirmed so his Mark 46 armour is pretty much a lock, not sure about War Machine though I don't know if this makes it easier or harder for you, but a new version of the Mark 42 should be coming next year in another hall of armour set -

A "Robin and Robin" project is something I've wanted to see for a while now, but a puppet-based movie about Dick & Jason growing up together as orphan thieves is one of the strangest possible directions they could have taken -

It may just be for comic characters who have their most recent/prominent live-action versions played by Black actors/actresses. An exception would be the comic-inspired Ben Urich showing up in the Bugle, but I doubt the MCU version would ever be made in either minifig or action figure form. -

The issue with potential Sequel merch is that most of the ships/vehicles are just slight variations on stuff from the Original Trilogy, so if Lego were to want an X-Wing, TIE Fighter, or capital ship on shelves, they'd go for the Rebellion/Empire designs rather than the Resistance/First Order ones. Kylo's Shuttle makes sense since it's aesthetically different enough from anything else they would potentially make, plus they don't want to fully commit by making it minifig-scale. The AT-AT Driver getting a helmet set before Kylo is kind of funny to me though, like they're scraping the bottom of the OT barrel before even touching the sequels Is the LSW team now under the control of Dave Filoni? The high price is kind of the point of the diorama sets, adding like 200 black pieces to the bottom what would be an otherwise normal set and marketing it to the 'Adults Welcome' crowd. I hope we get something like Palpatine's Arrest, but it's totally fine for a toy to be a toy -

Towards the end of the Andor S2 trailer, there's a seemingly new type of Imperial soldier wearing white/black armour that K-2SO throws to the ground, it's possible the Stormtroopers in the set could end up being some of those guys. I wouldn't put them on the same level at all, Syril hasn't ever witnessed the actions that the Empire is truly capable of and willing to perform, whereas Dedra is actively participating in them. -

Adding to the list of non-Batman locations with set potential, Titans Tower is pretty iconic and has a fairly consistent design across all the comics and cartoons that it appears in A set with comic versions of the five main Teen Titans from the cartoons + Deathstroke and maybe some others would be great -
It's pretty sad that there was only one proper minifigure-based set from the Phantom Menace anniversary this year, there were so many vehicles and scenes that they could have taken inspiration from. Also, @Daiman, I'd recommend not buying sets from the actual Lego store unless it really isn't available anywhere else, you could find the Dark Falcon at places like Big W or Target for a reasonable discount.

This could work well as a subtheme like the Hogwarts Moment book sets from Harry Potter, maybe coming with each princess in their main + alternate outfits, the princes, and maybe some new animal pieces. I'd much prefer that to those mini-minidoll storybook sets they were doing.

It's probably worth giving some of the movies another shot to see if any of the designs or characters stand out to you. And if you liked the Nebulon-B set, you could take a look at the Starship Collection line of similar midi-scale ships that started recently. -
Does anyone know why Lego went with bright yellow for the Malfoys' hairpieces instead of the tan colour they used to have?
