LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Coryo replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The U-Wing turned out really well despite the downscale imo, should be a reasonably good deal if it ends up being the same price as Maul's Ship. I wonder if there'll be another Andor set next year that reuses the ISB tactical agent, usually these unique trooper variants don't only show up in one set (except for the Mimban Stormtrooper). Maybe he'll show up in the Advent Calendar or a magazine polybag Definitely seems like a bad idea to charge Millennium Falcon/Star Destroyer prices for something that 95% of fans or casual consumers won't recognize. I don't think Quadjumper sold particularly well either, I remember getting it on a pretty steep discount. Honestly turned out to be my favourite Sequel set though, it's a solid compact ship with room for three minifigs, and could fit in any era of SW. Maybe this is our first look at the renowned Uncle Harlo -

I'm not super tapped into the Funko or Hasbro spheres, but it seems like they're also holding off on releasing any Thunderbolts tie-ins for now, so it may not be a Lego-specific decision. Maybe Marvel wants to keep certain scenes or characters under wraps. Just looking at the trailer, a set similar to the previous Avengers Tower playsets would be my suggestion, with the main 5 Thunderbolts vs. Sentry (Taskmaster nowhere to be found) The hands could plausibly be orange though, and all the other members are wearing white gloves, which does lead me to think it's Ben. Also, Sue's costume doesn't have the same vertical lines at the front, so she'd likely need a different print. Unless Lego cheaps out with the minifigs and just uses the same torso for the whole team, although I'm not sure how likely that is. Hopefully they all get dual-molded legs though, and maybe Johnny's "flame-on" form will show up in an Avengers Doomsday set, since I assume the FF will have a decent sized role in that. -
Here's my pitch for an Advent Calendar: AKA the first set to sell one PadmÃllion copies

Releasing Jango's Slave I as both a UCS and a regular playset in the same year is certainly an interesting tactic, almost like when smartphone companies will release a flagship phone and a lower-spec version alongside it. Kinda funny that the cheaper version will supposedly have one more minifig though. I just hope the playscale one will be able to seat both Jango and Boba in the cockpit, I believe the last version with room for two minifigs came out over 20 years ago. Also, I tried my hand at making a colour-coded list of all the rumoured 2025 sets: -
The Batmobile is an easy skip if it isn't going to include Robin or any of the villains, I'm sure the price in AUD would be horrific anyway. Kind of annoyed I got my hopes up for a new Batcave though Basing the Arkham D2C set on the Schumacher movies would be a genuinely baffling choice, so it probably will be the route that the Lego DC team takes. 100%. The team line-up from Teen Titans Go and the 2003 show are probably some of the most iconic DC characters for most of Gen Z/Alpha

More location/building sets is a great direction for the theme to take, I really liked the Homecoming bank heist and the 2018 Sanctum/Apartment. I could definitely see another smaller bank robbery-type set with some Spider-Man villains Don't get your hopes up for Deadpool, he's far more related to the X-Men than Spider-Man. Daredevil, Kingpin, and maybe Bullseye could come in a potential street-based set with the Nelson & Murdock offices I'm more surprised at how little they've revisited Infinity War apart from the Hulkbuster remake -

Huh, generally the only sets that are kept secret are ones that would have spoilers for upcoming movies or shows, could this be an Andor S2 set? -

I'm thinking there are three possible options for the Oscorp set: 1. Comic-based 2. An all-encompassing Raimi Trilogy set - Since the 'good guys' label doesn't specify Superheroes • Possible minifig line-up: Spider-Man, Peter (Civilian), Mary Jane, JJJ, Green Goblin, Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn, and either Venom, Sandman, or a Doc Ock reuse 3. Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man tie-in: The building is shown in the trailer and Norman seems to be one of the main characters, and the timing would kinda make sense The Cap/Thanos set almost seems like they're bringing back Mighty Micros -

Certainly a bold choice to test out their most ridiculous Batmobile pricing on a set based on one of the least popular Batman adaptations, watch them omit Robin again lmao Also, has anyone in Australia spotted the Superman Mech out in non-Lego stores? It seems like Big W, Target, and Kmart are stocking the 2025 sets for literally every theme except DC.

The rumour of Asajj Ventress and a potential armoured Obi-Wan coming with the V-19 does make that set quite a bit more interesting It's a little strange that Ventress would get remade sooner than Dooku though, he's definitely the most overdue for a remake. Usually Lego develops tie-ins to release around the same time as the show, it is kind of interesting that they didn't even acknowledge the Acolyte. There's next to zero chance that they would ever revisit it, considering the overall reception and the fact that Lucasfilm seemed willing to basically sweep it under the rug. I'm expecting a few sequel remakes around the time they start marketing the Rey movie in 2026 2027 2028 the same year as Blade. "The Black One" is a wild name for a ship lmao, it really doesn't read well Would an Exegol set with a Jar of Snokesâ„¢ bridge the divide between Sequel Heads and Clone Bros? -

A Martin Li minifig being hinted at for this year makes me lean towards the idea of getting PS4/PS5 Spider-Man sets. And if that is the case, did Lego only just realise that they could make sets based on non-MCU Spider-Man media? Spider-Verse+Raimi+Insomniac sets and a CMF all in the same year would be kinda wild, almost like they're making up for lost time. -

I think I remember one of the leakers saying there would be another AoU set in 2025, so yeah the Quinjet is the most likely option, or another diorama-type build based on the last Sokovia battle. Either way I'm really hoping for Pietro and a final-form Ultron, and maybe a non-phasing Vision. Have you ever done this and ended up hating the movie? Hope you didn't pay RRP for the Hoopty lmao -

I have a feeling that the other buildable droid in the 2HY will be a new BB-8, he seems to be the safest choice from the Sequels in terms of merchandise tbf you could consider the ARC-170 as a villain set once Plo Koon's starfighter hits shelves Since the Mando & Grogu movie seems to be centred around the New Republic/Imperial Remnant conflict, Lego might be holding off on making a few OT era ships this year and saving them for movie tie-ins in 2026. -

Considering the set is probably going to be like Arishem but with a big-ahh head, there are probably some issues with stability. The delay isn't too bad though, since the movie comes out in late July -

Lando used the Gold Leader callsign during the Death Star II run, I could see a General Calrissian minifig being included in the next version of the Falcon. The V-19 theory from @CloneCommando99 does line up to the hint pretty closely though, since the line was actually spoken in the 2003 show. Kinda wild that there haven't been any OT playsets rumoured for this year, or really any playsets based on the non-Clone parts of the entire Skywalker Saga -

Where is the bookend idea coming from? Seems like a random conclusion to jump to This would be great, I thought that the recent Green Goblin minifig from the Statue of Liberty set was a little lacking, and his 2002 look is still an all-time iconic CBM costume. If Lego is going to make proper Raimi trilogy sets, do you think they would also do anything from TASM or the Fox X-Men movies? -

It seems a little strange to have the Civil War and Endgame sets releasing so close to each other if they're both going to have a form of Giant-Man as the most prominent build, also considering how much character overlap there is between them. Cool to get a regular-sized Ant-Man again though I think an Avengers Compound D2C is bound to happen in the next couple of years, with a mix of Civil War/Endgame minifigs, I wonder if they're holding out on making CW Hawkeye or Ronin until then -
The lack of Jumba and Pleakley was expected but still kind of disappointing, glad it will have 5 minifigs total though. It makes sense they'd go for the human characters since they'd be easier to throw together using existing parts Hope it includes a dryer with a pizza box door

Must There Be a Captain America? Yeah, the trailer looked pretty rough honestly, I wouldn't mind if Lego skipped it, although there are some side characters/cameos that would make for cool minifig designs Might be a bit late to this, but I just watched the camrip of the FF trailer, it does absolutely have the sauce. The aesthetic/vibe sets it so far apart from everything else coming from Marvel and DC, I'm way more interested getting in the set now. -

The idea of Miles' voice actor having such negative rizz that Lego would put an embargo on the character was the funniest possible way to interpret that
