ASLUME (formerly Batman (DC Superheroes) 2024 - Rumors & Discussion)
Coryo replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
What if Lego Batman in the third act of his movie says, "Lego Batman, what a joke," throws his mask away, and wears Rick Flag's shirt in his honour -
Does this mean you can't even unlock villains in to use in free play mode? If so, that's kind of awful.

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

It looks like the Epic Battle sets are designed just to be dioramas that fit on that specific circular black base, so there probably wouldn't be too many side builds, play features, or extra characters. The subline seems to suit 1v1 or 1v2 fights much more than larger-scale scenes like the Battle on Titan, which I think should be done in a similar style to the recent AoU Sokovia and CW Airport dioramas. I'd like to see Tony vs. Iron Monger in this style - the last one felt needlessly oversized, and 5-6 years is probably enough time for a remake. And maybe Batman vs. Bane for the DC side This would be ideal, surely Lego wouldn't have made a new Winter Soldier torso print and only use it once (inaccurately) in the Civil War set? Since the black printed name tile seems to be following the SEO naming conventions listing all the characters involved, I really want the plaque to read: Spider-Man: No Way Home Green Goblin vs. Spider-Man, Spider-Man, and Spider-Man Genuinely thought it was a Hal Jordan mech at first glance -

There's something almost cruel about giving Cap dual-molding and leg printing but limiting it to only one leg on a half-venomized version, especially since they'll probably never use it on a normal minifig of him. The Bugle does look great though, it'll probably need some modifying for a bit of extra width, but I do far prefer this design/colour scheme to the basic grey office building design used for the D2C. Really glad they were able to re-use the Rhino piece from the 4+ sets before the mold was discontinued, and his mech looks surprisingly decent as well, not nearly as unfitting as the previous times they've included mechs in regular sets. -

This is probably a retcon meant to absolve him of any implied deaths due to collateral damage, but World War Hulk does establish that part of his subconscious does make sure to avoid casualties. The line "as long as your brain hasn't been tampered with" is meant to get around the instances of mind control or induced hallucinations, which were at play in most of his deadlier rampages. Although this rule probably wasn't the case in the earlier MCU or some other adaptations. -

Hulk doesn't necessarily belong in the same category as Punisher or Wolverine, it isn't that common for him to purposely commit murder when he's in control. -

The partially transformed approach is my absolute nightmare scenario for Symbiote Spidey -
Steve's minifig was definitely the biggest misfire out of all of them, he almost looks like the 10th Doctor to me. I know the Peter Parker head is overused in a lot of themes but I do honestly think it would have fit him better here. As for a better hairpiece, maybe Han Solo's could work? The picture is too low-quality to tell if Robin reuses Hermione's face or the new one introduced for Nami in One Piece, the latter would be a strange choice though since she never really registered as ginger to me, especially not compared to Max or her crush from marching band. Dark tan seems like a better choice for her hairpiece, unfortunately that specific one with the fringe doesn't yet exist in that colour, I might take one from an extra Thor minifig instead. Nancy likeness was probably rendered the best, the re-use of the Gabby's Dollhouse piece for her poofy 80s hair was a solid choice, and it looks like her face print is completely new, I'm glad it wasn't the Jyn Erso head again.

This is really promising, 13 minifigs would seem to cover the entire main cast with the 6 younger kids, 4 older teenagers, Hopper & Joyce, and probably Vecna. Too bad about Eddie though if it's based on S5. The upcoming Goonies set is probably the easiest thing to compare it to, with a similar price/piece count and 12 minifigs. They were able to include unique torsos for each of the characters, and a couple of new molds, so I imagine it will be the same here. Would this not be breaking Lego's rule about R-rated media though? I'm not sure if it works the same for streaming shows as it does for regular movies/tv shows.

Official pics of BttF DeLorean are out now, it's easily become my favourite of the licensed Speed Champions sets. The fact that they were able to include both Doc and Marty really makes the similarly-priced 2026 Batmobiles look like such a worse deal in comparison, with only one minifig each.

This is actually fairly surprising since the new season is MA 15+ and Netflix has retroactively applied that rating to the whole show. The Creel house seems the most likely choice, although hopefully they would take a different approach to it than with the previous set, having both the regular version and the upside down variant of the same building just seems superfluous to me.

At least they're finally taking advantage of the one positive aspect of the new cowl piece and actually using different head pieces for the various actors. It looks like Pattinson reuses Paul Atreides' face print and Affleck has the new Quicksilver/Bucky head piece. All of the minifigs are genuinely really well-done, it's just a shame they chose to exclude every other character not named Batman. The BvS Batmobile does look better from certain angles than the 2016 version, but the lack of the specially-molded doors does hurt it a little. The Reeves version seems about as good as the 2022 one, although I can't properly tell if it will only have room for one minifig. I wonder if Lego had any information about The Batman Part II by the time this set was in production, because I could see a possibility where this set retires and then another version including sequel characters releases almost immediately after. Compared to the other two using airbrushed promotional images, the realistic photo of Battinson just staring directly at you from the corner of the box is frying me

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Coryo replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I assume they'll stick to a rule of only fully masked/armoured characters, Ant-Man and Black Panther seem likely, maybe Doom a little later in the year. Although since the Iron Man bust is retiring sooner than initially intended, it seems like this line might be less successful than they'd hoped and may not last for too much longer. It would be a shame if the Raimi Symbiote suit was exclusive to an 18+ bust though. I also sort of resent the fact that they put a worse version of Iron Spider in the regular Endgame set just to make the bust seem like better value. It's possible that Ant-Man might get a similar treatment, since they skipped out on giving him leg printing in his first proper minifig appearance since 2018. Riri fits this reasonably well, she has an inherent compassion and vulnerability in her that exists right alongside her more unethical tendencies and personality flaws. She's one of the few characters that I would consider to be far more compelling in the MCU than her comic counterpart. This is probably the main issue with the way the newer heroes have been introduced, characters like Ant-Man and Doctor Strange wouldn't be nearly as popular without their team-up appearances with the pre-existing Avengers characters immediately after their introductions. Even if their solo movies didn't make a massive impact on the audience, their interactions with the larger universe helped build their goodwill immensely, it definitely seems like a huge mistake to have not had any large scale team-up movies throughout phases 4/5. -
These are going to look so much worse in value next to the similarly-priced vehicle sets from Marvel which pretty consistently get 3 minifigs each, even if they are re-uses most of the time. How am I supposed to eat this Batman & Robin Batmobile without my Robin? Between the '66, Kilmer, and now Clooney Batmobiles all excluding him, it makes me think someone at Lego has a genuine vendetta against Dick Grayson. The new cowl mold does suit Batfleck's armoured version more than any of the other live-action batsuits, but it would be a little strange to have him driving the Batmobile in a massive armoured suit. At least it isn't his horrific design from the start of The Flash.

LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
Coryo replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
An image of the smart brick Pikachu set has leaked in the usual places It looks genuinely shocking for an 18+ set, if Lego has to compromise so many elements of the design just to include the smart brick, I really hope the gimmick stays confined to this one specific set, and won't affect any of the non-18+ sets. -
Releasing it so close to Blade may hurt its long-term prospects at the box office though Whatever the hell Dick and Damian were driving around in while Bruce was dead*

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

More frequent uses of dual-molded legs would definitely be appreciated, but otherwise I don't think introducing a new standard Spidey fig is necessary at this point, the current one is essentially a perfect representation of his main comic suit and wouldn't really need improving. For the sake of a little variation, occasionally using the same basic figure with a darker blue colour scheme could be interesting. If Spider-Man is really going to appear in that many sets all at once in 2026, it would hopefully raise the odds of at least one of them getting dual-molding. Although I'm not really expecting more than one minifig in the Ghost Rider set. -
Since these are all coming out in the same wave, I wonder if the leaker saw pictures of all three sets but couldn't identify the third one, which could potentially mean it's a completely original design or just more obscure than the live-action Batmobiles. I've been playing the first Arkham game recently and wouldn't mind seeing a Batmobile similar to its original in-game design, I do think the BvS set might lessen the chances of the Arkham Knight version being made soon, since their aesthetics may overlap a little too much. Seeing the more scaled-down version of the Kilmer Batmobile in the upcoming game just makes it so much more frustrating that they chose to make a version that isn't in scale with the regular sets or any of the other 18+ Bat-Vehicles. This would have been great as a regular playset with Batman and Robin as minifigs. The 2022 Pattmobile never really stood out to me as being particularly oversized, especially for a car that was able to seat two minifigs. It would be a shame if the new version only had room for one, like the downscale of the 2021 to 2025 Tumbler sets.

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

Caught a glimpse of the guy working at the Kmart tech desk scanning the Spider-Verse CMFs and picking some out for his own collection before putting the box out Fortunately he helped me find the ones I wanted and sold them to me a week before the street date. I appreciate that they've managed to keep CMFs at $5 AUD here, considering they've seemingly increased the prices everywhere else in the world. Comparing the Hulkbuster to the Leviathan and Brave New World sets, the piece count/price point may rule out the inclusion of a bigfig Hulk, which would likely mean it isn't based on Age of Ultron. So I'd guess it's either another Bruce Banner/Wakanda set (way too soon imo), or potentially a comic-based version (last one was in 2020). Unless there's something I'm missing and it showed up in a game or animated series recently. This is admittedly a long shot, but I could see a civilian Gwen being made around the same time as Incredibles 3, since she could use a recoloured version of Violet's hair/headband piece. The recent appearances of Ant-Man and Iron Patriot Mk. II in the Endgame sets have shown that Lego is willing to include mech builds in a regular sets, I wouldn't be surprised if this set is a small vehicle or street build alongside a sand-mech. -

Putting aside the shaping and angle of the Raimi Bugle, it's possible that there might be licensing issues with the Flatiron Building that would prevent Lego from recreating it too blatantly. However this wouldn't prevent Raimi characters from showing up, considering Oscorp included minifigures from a mix of different universes (Earth-6160 Goblin, Sonyverse Eddie Brock). I have no doubt that the JJJ figure from the recent Spider-Man 2 train set will be re-used, since he looks identical to the billboard in Peter Parker's apartment. Dafoe's Green Goblin seems far less likely though, he would require a dedicated new mold for the helmet, and several new prints for the torso and legs. I imagine Lego may want to conserve the minifigure budget for the Brand New Day and Doomsday waves. Movie-based or not, hopefully the Sandman set includes him as a regular minifig. If they were to include a side build, I'd guess it would either be the F.E.A.S.T. HQ with Aunt May and possibly Martin Li, or the Coffee Bean with Harry Osborn. At some point I would also like to see some sort of bank heist set in this mini-modular style, the Homecoming set fits decently alongside them with a little modification, but a larger one with a villain like Shocker would be ideal. Totally agree, I've always preferred buildings and location sets to random made-up vehicles, so the new direction they've been taking is ideal for me, I get that the new Bugle set may not interest anyone who already owns the D2C version, but a smaller-scale version is a solid choice to add to the street line-up. Between the mini-modulars, Fantastic Four, Quinjet, SM2 train set, and dedicated Spider-Verse CMF, this may be my favourite year for the theme in a while, possibly since the Infinity War wave. I'm pretty optimistic about next year as well, I'm expecting a really strong tie-in wave for Brand New Day, since Lego likely trusts Spider-Man merch to perform well, and the filmmakers don't seem to be overly secretive about who is appearing, unlike previous MCU movies. Although, another buildable Groot are we fr The leakers would have mentioned if any of these had smart brick integration right? Are we safe? -
3 Batmobiles in the same wave is insane lmao, I guess it makes sense to have them on shelves at the same time as the game. The Pattinson Batmobile was the most prominent in the trailer so that seems like a lock, although it would be weird to release one in 2026 and another in 2027 as a movie tie-in, assuming it keeps the same design. I know it's probably unrealistic to expect this since the $100+ Val Kilmer Batmobile is still on shelves, but I'd like to see a regular minifig-scale one too (with Robin this time.) At least they've gone back down to a reasonable price though, the increases with the B:TAS version and recent Tumbler were getting ridiculous.

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Coryo replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This image implies that it does have a unique reaction when placed on top of a specific printed tile (see the front of the helicopter), so maybe not all of the sets will need to include the brick itself. Although I'm sure any set that does include a smart tile will inevitably have an extra $10-20 added to the price. -

Half of all 2026 seems way too excessive, I doubt they would commit that strongly to something that hasn't been a proven success. Unless there's an initial 'starter pack' type set and each regular set comes with some sort of RFID piece that could connect to it and achieve a unique reaction.
