  1. Well, well, well... I am in the process of gathering parts for this MOC of Orient Express - The Ultimate Collection by TrainsWithLights If interested, the designer keeps this version of his MOC fully updated (Rev 4 will soon be released). It is quite impressive that he keeps improving the model using at the same time less rare parts from, while the instructions mention all special aspects. Link: LEGO MOC Orient Express - The Ultimate Collection by TrainsWithLights | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO For starters you can modify just the LOCO and Tender.... and if NOT persuaded, just watch the following :) Enjoy! 2. It seems they have done a really good job. 👍 Today I received a huge package with lots of Trixbrix stuff and tomorrow I will check it thoroughly 😎 The only thing I had the chance to see is how small the trixbrix servo motor switches are (9 of them) and I am really eager to see how these will work with the all in one controller 2.0 I really hope the new controller allows more independent switches operation than the old one, while I still have to figure out how to automate the triple TB switch 🥶 Good job TB team! 👌
  3. And another video… Video And more info by Trixbrix November 7th — we’re adding the brand-new Switch Controller to our lineup! It’s a universal device that lets you control the original switches using the same Powered Up remote you already use for your trains. The Switch Controller also works perfectly with the Powered Up Mobile App, so you can manage your switches right from your phone And on November 14th, get ready for the launch of the All-In-One Controller 2.0! The new version of the All-In-One Controller lets you remotely control switches, signals, and barriers using your Powered Up remote, the Powered Up Mobile App, or even in automatic mode that is 100% compatible with the currently offered All-In-One Controller. With their compact design, built-in rechargeable batteries, and super easy setup, our devices are the perfect solution for anyone who wants smooth and convenient control of their train layout

  5. Thank you so much! The studio train models found in this link are absolutely amazing and helped me find out with great precision that my railyard... is not long enough to accomodate OE and EN.
  6. Checking the pictures...Thank you!
  7. Really nice, I hope I do not come across issues since the whole process to order and receive items from BL or Lego really takes time :( Excellent ... item 4022 then. Thank you!
  8. Oh my... Your setup is amazing and clearly depicts the endless potentials of the set... Still, I think that if I expand my setup thaaata much.. well, divorce will be on its way too Regarding ther front buffer, I could not clearrly see from your pictures which part exactly you mean and could not find something in red in BL. You certainly got my attention! Having the hub and motor both in the boiler would be ideal adding some extra weight/traction. For Orient Express I have ordered from Lego the extra weight brick. Any time able, would appreciate to see some photos.
  9. Thank you for your reply, but as mentioned in my original post, I would like to use Powered up equipment (L Motor and Powerewd Up hub) for the motorisation and not power functions. I have another 6 trains using powered up and would like to stay in that "ecosystem". Also, I try to avoid as much as possible 3rd party parts with the exception of train tracks of course :)
  10. Hello everybody Few months ago I added a new Emerald Night set in my trains collection. Immediately I started searching how to motorise it efficiently... Unfortunately, being this set released 15 years ago, I could not find a motorisation solution utilising Powered Up and L Motor and I would really appreciate your input on this! Kindly note that I have thoroughly read the very few posts related to PU (not PF) and EN motorisation but there is nothing that thoroughly explains what to do and what willl be the outcome (speed and torque wise)... only thoughts by users. Also, during my research for motorisation I came across another extremely useful guide/site by Brendan McGrath who has published a very detailed list of the parts required to build from Pick a Brick (or Bricklink) an extra carriage for this beautiful set. Also, taking into consideration the realy hich priced window frames (may cost 200+ euros for all 10 frames to be bought) he offers an alternative approach for the second vagon which is quite interesting. Below you can find the details on this... Website link: Downloads | Pater Practicus Video link: Looking forward to your inputs about the motorisation
  11. Hi again! after a couple weeks of waiting I finally received my OE correctly printed tiles, together with some other items that had issues not only in this set but also in the Disney train station (misaligned sticker printouts), Alpine lodge (missing toilet door) etc. I believe that the aftersales support is really good but most probably for this to happen, we have to be really precise on what we ask them to send us.
  12. Then you have to send another VERY SPECIFIC email regarding which and how many pieces you need :( I don’t know if it is better to start a new rocket or reply on the old one.
  13. Oh, this does not look ok. No, you should not remove the “Re” part of the reply subject. In any case, if they check your email on time, they will cancel this “order” and make a new one. Even if they don’t do that on time, I believe they will resend you the correct one based always on your last email. This is what I have experienced until now from Lego aftersales support and hope the same is your case.
  14. Well, it should be 4x of each, total 8 correctly-printed tiles. Have a look at the details below extracted from my “order” which by the way I placed on 28.4 and have not received yet (it has status: shipped, the last 10 days): FLAT TILE 1X8, NO. 113 Item: 6519718 Quantity: 4 0,00 € FLAT TILE 1X8, NO. 114 Item: 6519719 Quantity: 4 0,00 €
  15. I would not worry! After all these months they should be familiar with both issues (sticker and misprinted tiles). For example, I sent them the part number of the misprinted tiles to be replaced and they automatically ordered the correct ones…. Yes, the correctly printed tiles have different part number! But you can verify this also by checking the order contents they placed on your behalf to their warehouse by logging in the Lego site (of your country and assuming you have an account there). I was able to trace the progress of any replacement bricks, stickers etc through the Lego site, orders section (obviously using my Lego account credentials). Lastly, yes, they are pretty good at the follow up of the ticket emails so probably they will see your answer on time as well. To be honest I am really happy with Lego aftersales support with only exception the very very long time it takes for their order to arrive, while also their “replacement” orders do not have a track number… you just wait, A LOT! All the best!
  16. I would not worry! I sent them back in December request about the stickers and they sent these to me back then, while a couple weeks ago I sent request for the misprinted tiles via the webpage message form again and after a picture I sent them as proof (requested by them) they have already posted me (have not received yet) the correctly printed tiles. They may ask for a picture as evidence as well as for the factory number which is printed on the box, in my case on the duct tape that kept the box closed/sealed (difficult to see number).
  17. Following my previous message and having just started building this set, i came across the "bent rails" issue as well. Has anyone here tried to replace these rails through customer support? Thank you!
  18. You are so right! The printed tiles are now corrected and having the same number is not wrong. I have gathered multiple other issues in the Lego sets I bought (Alpine Lodge, Disney station, Christmas tree) and will send these altogether to the Lego customer support. Thank you for your reply!
  19. Hello guys! Any idea if LEGO Team has released revised bricks with the correct city names printed on them? Thank you!
  20. I was playing around with my recently built Winter Holiday Train and Disney Train and connected all carriages (except engine) of Disney to the holiday train. Motorized is only the Disney train and must tell you that the single motorized wagon (the one behind the engine of Disney train) was able to push pull all wagons of both trains (engine of Disney train excluded) VERY easily! I just need to find some free time to build my OE and motorise it as well (should have done this two weeks ago).
  21. Hi there and Happy New Year! Firstly, kindly allow me to mention that I have some difficulties to follow up the abbreviations you guys use in this forum so for anyone who had the same question with me: AFOL=Adult Funs of Lego, just googled it :) Now, on the post above by @zephyr1934 , If EN is AFOL (it is provided as 14+ age set) how come and in the Disney Train station I just built (and price wise is definitely 18+ :) ) the train is fully motorized. So perhaps the approach of “any AFOL train is not motorized” is not that accurate, unless I have misunderstood the definition of AFOL.
  22. Hello Team, May I ask if somebody has tried both motorization methods mentioned above by @Train of Thought Creations and @something_fabulous and was able to identify which method made the OE run smoother (whatever this means) and less hot (for batteries and motor)? Also, do you believe that we should put 4 o-rings on the drivers/wheels or just two. If I am not mistaken, it is mentioned in the first video above that the builder avoided the use of o-rings in all 4 wheels but preferred only 2 just in case the other two were creating more friction instead of traction to the rest of the train. Any ideas on this?
  23. @something_fabulous may I ask what are the differences between v1.2 and 1.3 of your MOC? https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-165803/StijnD/21344-orient-express-motorization-powered-up/#details @Train of Thought Creations I was just reading the comments section of your MOC here: https://brickset.com/article/102806/motorising-the-orient-express#google_vignette about clicking noise and burning smell. I also saw the fix, but may I ask what was the issue and if it is reliably fixed now? Thank you both!
  24. Thank you for keeping working on this.
