  2. Thanks for the feedback so far! The guarded inn will be integrated as a reference for personal sentimental reasons, but I will "update" it to try better fit in of course. The outdated wall section of the original set has to be replaced for sure. I absolutely agree the drawbridge should be more reasonable and will try to improve this in the diorama by spanning a narrow ravine at least. Initially I wanted to elongate the bridge quite a bit to make the gap matter more, but obviously this creates new problems in pulled up state. BURPS will all be hidden eventually (or at least all their ugly open studs), but imho are great for getting quick first impressions of the layout. Besides I absolutely don't enjoy doing rockwork unfortunately. On your behalf I can't unsee the difference between set and MOC portion in terms of wall colours uniformity... will be much demolishing and rebuilding to fix this though. So I will delay that, despite I absolutely agree. Oh and I maybe should have mentioned, this is my first "larger" isolated MOC, besides my previous fiddling around with quite "standard" city stuff und rebuilding some of my childhood sets around 1. the barracuda bay set and 2. the BDP saloon set. I am not out of the dark ages for very long yet and want to gain some designing and building experience with this very castle project. 20230821_082422 by pendentif, auf Flickr

  5. I like this MOC very much. Now I am inspired to build an exhibition showing the different Adventurers treasures, even when the contest is over. Highlights to me, which I immediately intend to copy, are the wall mosaic and the micro Anubis head out of only two "Bar with Clip", as well as the sausage barrier!
  6. Thanks a lot, I appreciate the feedback! Maybe an admin can move this thread to the MOC section? I'm sorry for getting this wrong!
  7. the most I like the different cargo beeing very iconic references
  8. Celebrating 25 Years of AdventureCategory C Entry Animated from the awesome contest, I remade my two favorite Adventurers vehicles from childhood to create this little scene of Baron Von Barron chasing Johnny Thunder, who finally obtained the highly demanded red ruby. In the background, Dr. Charles Lightning seems quite surprised by the noise and dust clouds, interrupting him from his archaeological studies. 01 by pendentif, auf Flickr 02 by pendentif, auf Flickr 05 by pendentif, auf Flickr 06 by pendentif, auf Flickr
  9. Hi, I'm the new one. In my very first post I wanna show my upscaled red parrot to join the "minifigure Tribute" Captain Redbeard. It is not 100% my own design, but rather a combination of different MOCs I found online. Hope you like it? (I admit cheating with plasticine to fixate the eyes, but they add so much character) Next I'm considering building a small diorama with classic colored ground and an upscaled palm tree, like sketched out in the photo below. The stem out of flextube and "Barrel Half Large" 4424 turned out quite nice, but I personally don't like the brick built palm leafes out of wedge plates, like you can see here in provisorily light bluish grey. Do you have any better ideas for creating the palm top? I even just thought about a custom upscaled remake of the classic palm leafe (2518) to meet the very plain and thin character of this special piece. hoping the pics will show at first second try now, if not I will edit again: 20230811_170645 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230811_170829 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230811_170706 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230811_172132 by pendentif, auf Flickr a little smaller pics may be better to look at: 20230811_170645 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230811_170829 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230811_170706 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230811_172132 by pendentif, auf Flickr
