  1. I just want so share my intense joy with someone who can understand it. This mixed lot of Lego I got yesterday from a publicly visible online offer. Still can't believe I payed only 50€ for all of this! (this price was even stated as negotiable). Sometimes you simply have to act fast to collect such a treasure, I guess. Who can spot some unique parts which belong to specific sets? Besides the sails, flag, printed lurp, arches and panels and of course the raised baseplate - I already figured out those. 20240321_213928 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20240322_112219 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20240321_224418 by pendentif, auf Flickr
  2. I recently moved my lego to another room and built a free hanging shelf to display the castle-, a wild-west-, and a pirates diorama. 146x87 studs each. So the castle diorama gets an extension of 28x87 studs. There I want to add a little siege scene with probably a trebuchet, as well as a small wizards an herb witches hut in the woods. I consider this to be a long-term-project now with the three different levels. Both wild West and pirates are just roughly sketched out for now, they may appear in separate threads here in the future. 20231218_143250 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231218_144039 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231218_144103 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231218_144051 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231223_170712 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231223_170737 by pendentif, auf Flickr And the new city layout will distract me as well, with its major changes after moving it to this room... 20231224_113839 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231224_113847 by pendentif, auf Flickr

  4. Cool! How did you solve the problem with missing reddish brown curved slopes for the top of the treasure chest? Because I also would have liked to add one.

  6. What to you think about these custom palm leafes? I mean it's not official Lego, but I may like it. 20231027_123339-1 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231027_124022-1 by pendentif, auf Flickr

  8. Do you mean the lathe? Yes of course you can use it.
  9. I feel I need a little step back from my medieval 10305 castle diorama to gain some fresh general creative inspiration, therefore I want to start a little side project along the way. Consider this an absolute work in progress, but this time I want so show the development from the very beginning. If you don't like this concept, just skip this thread until a few months from now. The initial idea was to combine some existing mini builds like a lathe, milling machine, pallet racks and heavy machinery like trucks and excavators to create a small and dirty, quite shady backyard machinery workshop. While arranging the existing parts on firstly one, then two, three, and very quickly four, five, six 32x32 baseplates, my thoughts unrestrained developed in the direction of a bigger and more officially acting facility, including rails and train carts, and a number of forklifts and telehandlers to manage a quite large depot of machinery spare parts. Coming down to earth after all it shall now be a compromise, illustrating only part of a medium sized machinery workshop, showing some work on vehicle mechanics/hydraulics and some other comission stuff. I prefer a small and crammed diorama to a large but comparatively empty setting. I'm absolutely open for your ideas input now. The current state of this project is: 20231015_134155 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231015_154837 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231015_154827 by pendentif, auf Flickr Nexts steps: I just received the Bluebrixx modern locomotive shed to act as a parts pack for creating an enclosure of the shop floor. I usually hardly dislike the blank studs from off-brand manufacturers in my MOCs, but I could not resist getting this much very useful parts here for just 150€:
  10. I tried to bypass some design flaws of my parrot to improve the structural stability, but was not happy with the resulting optical changes. Therefore I decided against making instructions now. Also there are plenty of quite similar parrots on rebrickable already. But regarding the small diorama, there is some progress to show: 20231015_140825 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20231015_145642 by pendentif, auf Flickr

  13. Ok I will create instructions or at least a stud.io file for you. But first I want to improve a few details construction-wise. Can we see this somewhere? Sounds very interesting!
  14. thanks for the input, I like those :)
  15. No I don't have instructions, sorry.
  16. Besides DUPLO, I also like Scala walls to raise the terrain. 20230314_164322 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230317_133516 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230321_194742 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230321_194753 by pendentif, auf Flickr 20230322_210024 by pendentif, auf Flickr
  17. Yes, indeed. Also it won't hurt to have another exit from the monarchs private rooms in case of an attack. The main reason for adding this passage though: the modded ("mocced"?) castle at first looked (and admittedly was) like two very separate buildings without it. So this bridge visually and physically brings the two sections together.
