Just started LDD and was greeted by a 185mb download for a new patch. I have no idea yet what is included, but it looks like we get something new to play with.
-
How about adding mudflaps and the trailer hitch thing in the back. Maybe even add the hoses that attach to the trailer that feed the brakes and trailer lights. Other than that, looks pretty spot on to me. Hmm, maybe a hood ornament also.

I'm thinking don't go to a soup tasting party that is hosted by Jamie.

LDD 4.3.5 is out
Tontus replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Not sure about the 3x3, but the 2x2 inv tile is new to LDD, but exists in real. I think it was in the Samurai Mech and is probably the same piece discussed a bit earlier. -
LDD 4.3.5 bugs
Tontus replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
When you put a torso on the snake body, it doesn't fit all the way. You can slide it all the way down using the group move trick, so not that big of a deal. -
LDD 4.3.5 is out

Yuck, now I'm going to have to relearn where pieces are. It looks to be better organized, but old habits are going to be hard to break. On the plus side, we finally get a Wookie. -
LDD 4.3.5 is out

This is a nice surprise. I started LDD, saw the patch, started the download, and came here to see what's new. I'm 25 megs into the download and have a feeling I'm going to be a bit late to work this morning. -
Good work on the temple. It is instantly recognizable and I can almost picture Vader and the 501st marching up the stairs. I'd offer to do the render, but on my netbook it took 6 days to do an 800 piece build. I'm not sure I can spend 18 days on a render.

I'm really digging this build. It looks like a Kenner made mini-rig if the prequels and EU would have existed in the early 80's.

[MOC] Z-95 Headhunter Starfighter (set 9493 build)
Tontus replied to billdeen's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's pretty good considering the piece restrictions. I think the fuselage might be a bit too long. I haven't looked at one since the TIE Fighter game many years ago, so I could be wrong. That's pretty cool though seeing a Snowspeeder and a Z-95 both from an X-Wing. I wonder what else is "hiding" in that set. -
I just installed it. Looks like it will come in handy, thanks!

Can LEGO be damaged by heat/cold extremes?
Tontus replied to Hyun's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have 3 CMFs on my dashboard and all 3 don't stay on the stands if I turn too fast, and the headgear no longer stay on if I turn the fig upside down. There is definitely something about the heat in a car. Kind of reminds me of an episode of Mythbusters where they "proved" that lighters left in cars won't explode. I've had that happen to 2 lighters over the years, so I'm guessing extreme heat plus direct sunlight makes things really hot and expands the holes? Maybe extreme cold could reverse it.- 77 replies

I sure hope it's Denmark. I really don't want people to start complaining about Chinese printing.

It will come to an end on Dec 21, 2012. That won't do you any good though, since everything else will end then too. You might as well open it and enjoy it now while you can. If you want an investment, try gold silver or stocks.

Hmm, I see working elevator, cargo net to catch the heroes, AT-ST crushing action, and catapults. What else are looking for? I guess maybe he could add some flickfire missiles?
-
I really want a UCS quality Ewok village. You managed to incorporate all the important elements from the film, so good job there. I do think there should be some sort of tree top and I'm not sure the logs crashing into the AT-ST is a good idea. I can picture lost pieces and maybe even a lost eye from flying debris. Also, I really like that you were inspired by the vintage set. Who knows, maybe LEGO could make an Ewok Village set and then follow Kenners footsteps and re-release it later in a Robin Hood type theme.

Rolls-Royce reveals world’s only Lego jet engine

That is pretty cool, but I must admit I almost cringed when I saw what appeared to be superglue being used. -
I don't know how accurate this data is, but doing a quick Google search revealed that the average Australian income is $98,000. The average US salary according to some new show the History channel was around $44,000. That would imply that the average Australian would have slightly more than double the disposable income that I do. So why would LEGO charge you guys double? Because they can. According to the stats, it would take both of us the same amount of work to buy the same amount of LEGO, so it could possibly be argued that you're not paying double what we are. I'm not going to argue that though. EDIT - It just hit me, I'm not sure what currency that $98,000 was in. I don't have time right now to check, so everything I said might not apply. You guys ever think about moving? I never get tired of your accent, so y'all are more than welcome over here in Memphis.

I don't have a clue what a chibi is, but those are really cool.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Tontus replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'd be interested in seeing how the numbers compare going a bit farther back than just last year. Last year was overpriced as well, so they should line up with this year. I'm just not interested enough to do it myself. Either way, it won't affect my purchasing at all. Use a little patience, wait for a sale, and still pay too much. -
That's funny. I live in Memphis and the 1 order I placed with S@H was shipped from Mississippi.

My allowance was also the exact same amount as 5 days of lunch at school. If I wanted money, I didn't get to eat. If I wanted to eat, I had no money. Any way, I do agree that Frodo does seem like a poor choice here. I'm thinking we're going to see Frodo bags at the checkout lines for a really long time. Hopefully they come in separate cases, otherwise the Uruk set may be very tough to find.

Really? An interior would be an improvement. So would an actual cockpit. Lights always help. Don't get me wrong, the Falcon is great, but it could be better. That's not for this thread though I suppose. As for future UCS sets, I'm thinking the A-Wing can't be too far away. Gotta complete the rebellion's fleet.

Yeah, I don't see much of a demand for Watto. I'd love to get the Probe Droid and FX-6, but I think they fall in the Watto category as well. Maybe TLG will throw us a bone and make the instructions available for those sets that don't stand a chance of being produced.

Are you sure something didn't crawl into the bin and die? I've never heard of old plastic releasing fumes.
