  1. well i spended this morning sorting the space orange color pieces into one place:)
  2. well now the cab shape is done and mechanical stuff is basically done now its just pneumatics and little bit of body shaping and now this is packet to the brim of functions Current functions- -Steering with hand of god steering knob and functioning steering wheel -awd drivedrain with central differential Gearbox functions- -rotating seat -rear superstructure turning -front superstructure raising and lowering -rear outriggers And 4 speed gearbox similar to my 42177 alternative build the pug but little bit tuned and with v6 Future functions Pneumaticaly operating front superstructure attachment tilting -Pneumaticaly operating front log grapple -Pneumaticaly operating rear superstructure lower boom section -Pneumaticaly operating rear superstructure upper boom section -Pneumaticaly operating rear superstructure bucket function So this will be even more packet to the brim of functions even tough this is now fully packet with functions i did build this like a brick so nothing is falling out and this weights about 2kg and now every inch is squeezed for functions so the chassis has no room for any more new functions;)
  3. well now im happy with the chassis now every inch is squeezed for functions now this has also 4 speed gearbox:)
  4. well here is the progress of the new project so far this is really dense and this has been filled to the brim of functions so sneak peek of the functions this has so far 4 functions controlled by gearbox Functions so far- -steering with rotating steering wheel and hand of god steering -awd drivedrain with central differential gearbox functions- -turning seat -raise and lowering of the front boom -rear superstructure turning -rear outriggers This will have more functions and those functions are pneumatic so this will include pneumatics and i have thinked to put v6 engine in this model so good progress so far:)
  5. Well im kind of exited of this set because the 8052 had 686 pieces so i have hope that this new dump truck is just small scale 8052
  6. well now this is packet to the brim of functions i did go my local swimming hall today to little bit refresh my ideas and getting more interesting ideas and i got a few ideas on my head yes this is my style of refresh and meditate of things;)
  7. well after the truck pneumatic pump fiasco i was depressed and sad for 4 days and did not build anything but now i yesterday again stared something so lets see how big of a fiasco this will be and the truck is now in long hiatus until i get the energy again to fix the pumps so this week was a slightly a roller coaster
  8. And also i like this years space orange color on this model and the new color bucket piece
  9. well i got in my head idea to build 2 piece boom for excavator here is concept
  10. Omg this is really cute looking hopefully this will come to finland:)
  11. Well i taked few days of from this build because the pump system really bothers me now so much so i will now think what i will do with this project im little bit sad now how this turned so i will think better solutions or something different
  12. Well i tryed to remove the old pumps but its basicaly impossible without fully destroying the truck so i just left them there and removed the yellow lever pump and added the pumps to the superstructure now this system works but the superstructure rotation is now little bit weird to operate because the pumps are on the superstructure and the superstructure rotation pneumatic sylinders and gearracks are in truck so the pumps move with the superstructure when you pump to rotate well i shoulded maybe investigate this problem earlier but it wasn't huge problem until it was little bit too late but finally the pneumatic system works as it should in the first place finally:) And the pressure release valve really works wonders im now amazed how well this system worked:)
  13. Well update i little bit started working on the superstructure yesterday and the pneumatics worked really slowly on the superstructure this was not a problem with the chassis pneumatics but i did do little bit of testing and result the roof pump system was not totaly functional it worked with chassis pneumatics so i didint consider this a big problem but when i tested with another pump wich i pumped with my hand and not with linkage mechanism it worked much better and the roof button didint fully compress the pumps so it wasn't huge problem with the chassis pneumatics but it is big problem with the whole sets pneumatics so now i have slightly bigger problem because those in model pumps are burried deep and is very difficult to get access those pumps so i have to now think how i will go foward but i will not stop the project so now i will put the pumps in the superstructure and then i have to think solutions for those chassis pumps:)
  14. Yes i used black pins on hoods and hood linkages so the hood stays on place when opened and this simple thing can do a lot of wear on those recently maded beams because there is dust in black pins already about 30min of using old pins and beams never did do this and also in lego trucks the cab opening linkage mechanism always used black pins
  15. Oh thats why if i build linkage mechanism with newly produced lego parts that those beams leave dust to black pins especially light bluish grey beams are prone to leaving dust on black pin
  16. well now the pressure release valve mechanism and button is added to the truck and it works perfectly:)
  17. well now i have working prototype of the pressure release valve button
  18. today i tooked day of from this build and now i started thinking the superstructure pneumatics so basically the system works like this pump->superstructure valves and truck valves wich controls the superstructure rotation and the outriggers and in the superstructure first valve from turntable is pressure release valve to prevent the tubes coming of if you over pressure because its a pain to fix the system and then the pressure release valve connects to the superstructure valves via the other connector so you can switch betveen superstructure functions and pressure releasing so now this system is pretty much fail safe:) And im desiningin that pressure release valve like this that there is a button and its always connected to superstructure but in emergency you can press the button to release the pressure from the system:)
  19. well now im happy with the front and the hood. This looks so good and the building is going so smoothly:)
  20. Thanks for the comment:) i remember before my dark ages i got 42070 in christmas present in 2017 and i builded a lot of cool stuff from that and the 42055 pieces so i like to create always something from the ground up:)
  21. But i have noticed a weird thing with the recent lego pieces when i build like for example a linkage mechanism the pins have dust from those beams especially from light bluish grey beams i dont know what materials lego now uses in their pieces now but it seems the material has gotten softer because my old beams newer did this and never did from one day of using them so this is weird and odd
  22. well now the hood is taking shape this has been the hardest part of this build i was never great desinger of front area so they usually look really rough so in this model i still have to figure out how i cover top of the headlights
  23. well now the front is heavily reinforced so now this is again builded like a brick and now this weights about 3.5kg And while the wheel base is far apart each other i have reinforced this chassis so much that this isint bending on middle while the chassis is little bit empty and hollow i have reinforced this much better than the lego 1:10 scale ferraris hollow chassis this truck isint bending at all even if hold this in the front while on air this wont bend att all so this has no issues with the durability i always try my best to make the chassis a rock solid and the outriggers do hold the truck so if you remove the front wheels they dont break and chassis is not bending so im really happy with the chassis now:)
