well i decided to fully overhaul the 5+R gearbox and i spended this whole day from morning to night making gearbox consepts and going back and forward a lot of troubleshooting and many grey hairs later now i have finally realistic 5+R gearbox and while designing this as compact as possible was a pain and a nightmare end result finally works as it should and im really proud of my self i have to go sleeping i was not able to get myself off from the build eventhough soon 4 hours later is morning but finally the whole day and late night work has payed of and i can finally fully relax and not thinking and bothering of non working gearboxes anymore:)

here is underside of the gearbox:) Well sorry for the slow respond i have to think about this but when im productive at building legos when i get exciting ideas on my head i just make million different improvements on stuff so its kind of difficult to make instructions because im not usually satisfied with first or fourt result so i make million different styles and upgrades with the gearboxes or the model its kind of never ending maze to keep track on my mocs and upgrades and im now taking the lego moc building spree little bit lightly because i work on my other favorite hobby now so the lego building spree has little bit slowed down and i will build something when i get a cool idea on my head:)

well i wasn't happy with the first 4 speed gearbox it was little bit too big and bulky so i went back to drawingboard and demolished the old one and created much smaller and compact and more efficient 4 speed gearbox now the speed difference in all gears is more clearly visible:) And now this rolls really smoothly even in the fast first gear wow now im really impressed with my gearbox desing

And i have a cool story from my backround when i was on technical school and our class teacher came one day our class and telled there would be a robot ice hockey competition between technical schools and i joined to build the robots and i was the only one who was expertising with gear rations and weird mechanisms so other our class robot builder teams struggled while i was building weird and wacky mechanisms for the ice hockey launching mechanism and at the end i found solution and teacher was amazed of my weird and wacky mechanism and the final solution did win the robot ice hockey competition and i was so proud of my self at that time and we did held a celebration afterwards so my childhood years playing with lego technic had worked magics so its always cool to have a nerd at school;)

But i have one issue with this set this should be a fire truck but the last piece on boom top of cab should had yellow cone piece(part number 4589) because city fire trucks have that and this set there is just light bluish grey piece with empty hole so now i have noticed this lack its bothering me now so much that its just hurting my eyes

Well now i started building the front boom and the gearbox function to lift and lower that was not strong enought so i will add more pneumatics but luckily i was originaly planned the 4 gearbox function to be hood opener(thats why the seat rotating function is in that gearbox) so now i just have to little bit rework some stuff but this was not a full catastrophe like the truck pumps were;)
