  1. I think tiago caterino had a youtube video with the new sets in person and it showed the mechanisms of the Tantive set including the door mechanism
  2. Ok, a hint from renown, searching it up it's some weird slug tentacle thing from Rogue one? Oh wait this a connection to Saw right?
  3. Hopefully there'll be a lot of sellers selling invisible hand sticker sheets, I need those Separatist symbols!!
  4. I think it used to be but they very slightly changed the clip hinge dimensions a couple years back which I think made it legal? I might be completely wrong though
  5. Not gonna lie the midi ships look great but in the lifestyle pictures they look TINY, especially the invisible hand. Either that or the actor they used has huge hands
  6. Why don't you see it being an astromech? As in do you think the leakers are meaning a proper normal fig when they say 2 minifigures? I did toy around with the idea that the 2nd fig would be fun if it were a flesh coloured/modernized version of jedi bob, considering we know that one of the figs is a yellow skinned bob
  7. Man I wish they still had minifigs for may the 4th, I don't think I've ever bought any sets on May the 4th since they stopped doing the polybag figs.
  8. To be fair it doesn't seem like Fives or Malak raised the price of the R2 or Tantive sets, 55 bucks for 500 pieces and 100 for 1050 is pretty good for Star Wars. I would have also expected these prices if they didn't come with anniversary figures
  9. To be honest I thought we were going to get the midi scale ship images along with these image releases, kind of bummed...
  10. Yeah they could have used round studs on the columns instead of stickers sure but idk use of stickers just aren't a thing I think about much anymore, star wars sets have been this way since like 2006. Maybe they've grown on me but I do think stickers/prints give a little bit of charm to each set. The only stickers I'm against are stuff like speed champs where it's overwhelming
  11. Come on man it's like 8 stickers on those collumns, plus one for the little 1x2 tile above Vader's entrance, it's fine. The set looks great imo especially the lifestyle pic where from above it really looks much beefier than the dark trooper attack
  12. R2 looks great, maybe not chubby enough but for the amount of part's its expected. Also there are HD pics for the Tantive boarding set. So far this wave is off to a good start, beautiful box art on both (not as good as the 20th anniversary art or original trilogy edition art though) and solid sets
  13. Considering the current prices of sets in waves, with a proper entry set being like 60 or 70 dollars nowadays, 55 seems pretty good for the amount of figs, especially that there is one with a high level of detail (fives) and even Vader if we consider he has printed arms
  14. You all think we'll see more images of this and other sets today?
  15. Yeah it's unlikely and probably fake rumor, but it would be awesome, I love the IG series droids in general. Someone, I'm not sure where, but they suggested this creature set could be from the Bad Batch season 3. It's just a guess ofc, but at this point for a creature with multiple eyes we don't have much to work with
  16. The advent calendar for 2024 seems to be a fair bit larger than previous ones? I think they usually hover around the 300pc mark but this upcoming one had 368 pieces if I remember correctly
  17. Not sure anyone's asked this yet, but do you think the luke in the luke mech will be the same fig as the UCS X wing, a la Captain Rex?
  18. I am trying to piece together 10018 Darth Maul. I went through my loose pieces collection and have found about 85% of the parts I need, the rest I made an order for on pick a brick to take advantage of the double vip points, the order only costed me about 60 cad so I think it's been a really economical way to piece together this set. Only parts I haven't been willing to source are the larger bricks (4x6, 4x10 and largest of all the 4x18) that go for crazy prices, so I will just substitute and find workarounds with smaller bricks until I feel it's worth it to go buy, atm it's more than I'm willing to spend for a couple parts, in addition to the quarter circle wall panel pieces in black that go for 40 bucks each!! I am just substituting with the dark bluish gray version of those panels. There's also a really rare 1x1 plate in old brown that this set needs, yes a single 1x1 brown plate. But it only appeared in this set and the wright flyer (I have it, but no way I'm cannibalizing that!), early 2000s man, you have sets with these one off or extremely rare parts. I will probably substitute the plate with a 1x1 old brown tile. I could use a reddish brown plate but that's ruin the athstetic of the original's colour palate. Funnily enough though the one piece I didn't expect to be in production still, was still available, the 2x2x3 brick in blue. I found that it was on pick a brick, so I checked bricklink to see what sets it came in, basically came out exclusively in late 90s and early 2000s sets, and wasn't used again until some randomly being in a Lego Juniors police station in 2023. Lucky me! But seriously I am really excited to build this set, it's just one of those things you don't expect to ever have but really want. I didn't think I had many of the bricks until I actually went digging in my parts collection and realized that I do have most of the bricks already, which makes piecing this set together fairly cheap for me
  19. I guess you're right tbh, the only hugely underrated star wars media in recent memory that got a proper wave was rogue one, and that was because it was a movie. Bad batch and andor, I really like em but I guess there just isn't enough demand from the market.
  20. I think we'll get one set for the bad batch, keeping in line with 1 set a season like we got previously. To be honest I wonder why the bad batch didn't get more sets, I really loved the show and imo has more consistently great episodes than clone wars, although tbf I was a lot younger when I watched clone wars so maybe I didn't pay attention as much until the later seasons. It seemed like the bad batch was popular enough to get a couple sets each season, atleast. I can understand for the first season, Lego was unsure so they just did the one shuttle and threw in all the characters, but for season 2 and now the final season come on Lego
  21. Yup I agree now, I am way more stoked now than if it was going to come with only 700-800ish pieces. You can do a lot with 1555
