LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Minishark2000 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The playscale set does perplex me though Is the 20th anniversary slave 1 canopy still in production you think? Because I think it's a given that this new playscale one will have to fit both jango and boba, and therefore be larger than the last slave 1 (hence 120 more pieces). On the other hand it's not large enough of a piece count jump, so I can't see this being that much larger than the previous one, so I'd expect the same canopy piece to be used? In my opinion this model will be too small to have the rotating cockpit with the wings feature I think it will be boba and jango on a plate that is slid into the cockpit, akin to the AT TE cockpit, and with boba standing behind jango. What do you guys think? I just really hope this new playscale version is significantly different from the BOBF version -

It's for safety purposes for those spikes they they have. Not sure there was any other way around it. -

Droid carrier looks a lot better than I thought, pretty sizable and with 8 droids. I am not sure if the pilots have tan chest printing? I can't tell from the pic. Also the image has a background of naboo, I hope they give a proper background for the box, not the tiresome adult black box -

After watching solid brick studio's sith infiltrator review, I like it a lot more. The ridge isn't so bad as I thought, and saw is absolutely fantastic! The printing especially in the back of his cape, and his facial expressions, just perfect! -

I am not sure why you guys are so hyped about it, imo these images make it even worse. That middle ridge on the infiltrator looks AWFUL! Saw looks great though, the green isn't so bad imo -

Childish landino has said that Saw has a printed cape and the droideka can roll up! Good news for once! -

I like the sith infiltrator, I'm glad they're making it smaller this time, the 2015 one was fat and bloated. It is pricey, but whatever I guess not like I expected anything less these days. As for the figs, I'm honestly fine with the three, I'm lucky enough to have a lot of phantom menace figs but don't have characters like watto which would have been a nice inclusion for this set like the 2015 infiltrator. The main thing I don't like, and don't Lynch my guys but I watched mandr's video on the set leaked image, and I agree with what he pointed out, the middle rifle sticks up way too high and needs to be lower by 1 or 2 plates. Otherwise imo the build is really nice looking. My final gripe is the saw gerrera Minifigure, I know we don't have HD photos yet but he is just wayyyy too green, like it's actually off-putting to me how green be is, it just doesn't look good from not only an accuracy standpoint but an aesthetic colouring standpoint too. I want to love it I really do and I'll try, but that colour might be an insurmountable gripe. Maybe if it leans heavily into the sand green I'll be fine with it but I'm not sure, maybe it's just the box art saturation making him look brighter green than he actually is, who knows. -

They could do a diorama as the remake of the old Jedi Defense I and II from 2002, basically part of the hallway/cutting through the door scene of Qui gon and Obi, with some droids and droiekas, maybe some nemoidians? -

What?!! come on the 2011 one isn't bad, in fact I'd have to say this new one is imo the 2nd worst easily! I mean look at those legs, big chunky light grey claws. Ughh! -

I agree, the price for the podrace is awful, that high of a price (100 CAD) for a set of mostly 700 small pieces with nothing to justify it quite frankly, no minifigures, large molds, etc -

The mini droideka looks awful, one of the worst imo but it's no biggie, the main model of the display droideka looks fantastic though Personally I don't really think it'll be able to turn into a ball, the build seems rigid (but who knows), but imo it doesn't matter for me I would never display it like that or play with it so I guess it doesn't need to be functional. Definately would be a plus though if it rolled like the 2001 droideka -

Heck yeah! Even if you don't like the prequels atleast you feel that it was made with passion and a genuine interest. Not to get off topic too much but I'll just say that the sequels have like a ton of the same vehicles and settings as the original trilogy which to me just feels soulless -

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that the luke coming in the mech won't be the same as the UCS pilot luke, I think it was going to have different legs? I forget where I heard it I think it was on this forum a few weeks back -

I gotta say I completely agree, older parts are much more rugged and have stood the test of time, while new parts are beginning to falter. I notice this the most with minifigures, it's always newer figures that have cracks (2016 onwards figures), at least in my experience. I rarely have older minifigures with torso cracks, but I see listings and from my own purchases of lots it's always newer minifigs developing these issues. Lego is still great but their attention to detail and quality is slightly slipping recently -
I have been looking to try and just get the 25th anniversary figures with their plaques, but seems some folks on bricklink are taking advantage of the days before the figure gets entered into the bricklink inventory to sell fives and malak at 40-80 CAD each! I really hope the prices go down once circulation starts. And speaking of recent purchases, I fumbled big time with hesitating on the 20th anniversary snowspeeder. It had the Lando fig on the stand and also the box and instructions, all for 65 CAD. I hesitated, the ad was up for a few days so I could have thought about it and gone for it but I didn't. And now seeing the price of 20th anniversary Lando online, I regret it. And it's not even that I didn't know this version of Lando costed a pretty penny, it's just that hesitation to spend more than the monthly Lego budget

General LEGO Star Wars Discussion and Questions
Minishark2000 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
To be honest I've never had a serious leg break on any colour, it always seemed to me that torsos were the fragile part of a figure, my zam torso has both sides cracked but the legs in perfect condition -

Yeah it's really weird, I was looking for mainly arms and hands to complete my armless zam with cracked torso, but guess It'll thankfully be pretty cheap to complete a great fig -

I assume the fig actually comes with a cape but the book just shows it being off in the photo to show off the 25th anniversary back print. I am probably betting on no 25th anniversary stand? Books don't usually have anything beyond just the fig and the accessory -

I've been looking at bricklink and was looking at Zam Wessel when I realised there's a massive price difference between her torso (roughly 5 cad) and legs (nearly 70 cad) price. What's with the discrepancy? Some massive surplus of Zam torsos in circulation? -
Recently bought a Lego collection for $80 CAD, out came a lot of parts but most fortunately tons of figures, Star wars, scooby doo, batman, awesome stuff. Some notable things were the Imperial shuttle tydirium figures including it's Endor Rex, the Captain Rex AT-TE clone figures minus Wolff's head for some reason, captain phasma, duel on Naboo Qui Gon, and the 2017 Clone wars Anakin . I also found the 2013 P2 Rex head and Ezra's head in the collection, but none of their other pieces which was weird. There also weren't the builds for the Tydirium or Rex AT-TE which was weird it was like I bought half of the collection missing but I am not complaining! Some nice figs to add to the collection

Huh, I must have not noticed, maybe because the printing of the eye is smaller/more intricate on the 99' maul? Thanks for letting me know though thinking about it maybe I did always know in the back of my head, I guess I forgot I think they did overdo the creases on this one, but there's a simplicity I like on the old maul. It's just a robe after all, I've never felt the need for more than 5 or 6 creases on Lego robe prints. This new one has a lot more and the dark grey crease lines start to overtake the black colour of the robe I also want to note that I like the new maul's facial expression, I am glad we've moved away from the childish looking smiling maul face print, absolutely hated that
