I’m still going to hold out hope/delusion that LEGO will squeeze in a Clayface appearance before his film comes out. Not that it necessarily means much, but they referenced him four times in Arkham, when they could’ve done that for Two-Face or many other characters. In other news, Wonder Woman’s hair/crown piece will return in CMF Series 29, so now both the hair for her and Superman are back in circulation.

I was thinking about the Lars Homestead and how that could be incorporated into a set not on its own. I thought that if it were included as a side-build with the Sandcrawler, that might work. Alas, it does not seem like that will be the case. I’m very excited to see these upcoming sets. It sounds like they have the potential to have some real hits on their hands, many long overdue. I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for the majority of a wave. Also, I kind-of like the Smart Falcon. It looks like a fun chibi version, if only it weren’t way overpriced and with the new gimmick. -
I’m disappointed there seems to be no physical minifigure with the game. The new trailer does show a lot more minifigure designs, including Two-Face, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, Ra’s Al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, and Firefly. C’mon, LEGO. *pokes with stick* Do something.

LEGO Ninjago 2025 Rumours and Discussion

A picture of Jay ZX is out… and his armor and mask are gold. I don’t know why they couldn’t make him accurate, it’s not like they’re reusing a piece for his mask. I’m still looking forward to seeing the builds, but he and Cole are disappointing.- 749 replies

You see, this is actually a new helmet! Unlike the other one, which has the light blue eyes (perfect to simulate the armored cowl’s glow), this one has white eyes. I’m not knocking getting new cowl variants/colors, but I am baffled as to why they would do this. It’s especially disappointing as it was pointed out that a new Supes would only need one new piece.

That X-wing is definitely something. Hopefully LEGO does not become too proud of this technological terror they’ve constructed. The ability to respond to play is insignificant next to the power of imagination. But if we’re doing these tech-based sets, where’s my brick-built Salacious B. Crumb with a laughing sound brick? -
A greebled logo could go either way. I don’t really collect logos, so I probably wouldn’t get it regardless, but still. I always thought the logos for The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie would be cool sets, so maybe this’ll turn out to be partway there. For the Batmobiles, part of me is happy we’re finally getting Clooney. If they’re only doing live-action Batman, then he fits. But let’s put more than one minifigure in each set. Please. They literally chose both of the live-action Batman movies that have other characters in the titles (I am counting BvS as a Batman movie). If no-one else is included, they might as well market the upcoming polybag as being from the new Batman/Deadpool comic.

I mean, Gunn and Safran were hired (announced) right after, so technically the hierarchy of power did change. Just not how he wanted. At least we finally got Black Adam in that Tower of Fate set. That was cool… my, what’s this weird alien plant on my chest? I never realized this, that’s too good. It even works with the question of what’s canon!

I actually saw someone use this hairpiece for Metallo and it worked great. Allow me to be Elongated Man and stretch this to hint at the Daily Planet. I am intrigued as to how they use it, though. A classic, BTAS-inspired Two-Face would need the older hairpiece or something like it (in my opinion), so a new design could be interesting.

If you’re looking to get it before the holidays, then there probably won’t be a discount soon. However, if you wait for double insider points, then you basically get $100 off. -

Lightning looks good! For me, the dip on the hood is too pronounced, and the fact that that recessed section is the only part to protrude from the rest of the front makes his “face” look off. I get why it’s protruding, with the arch piece, but I’m definitely going to try to mod it. Otherwise, though, he looks fantastic. -

Now that I’ve watched Solid Brix’s review, as well as watched and read the interviews with the designers and sketch artist, I think my thoughts have finalized on the Death Star (these are all of my personal thoughts, with which you may or may not agree). For what it is, I really like it. I will say, the price makes it way too expensive for me to justify spending that much on one LEGO set. $1,080 (tax included) is a lot to spend on LEGO, let alone at one time, let alone on one singular set. Nevertheless, I knew that going in, and when looking at the set itself, I think it’s great. I like this type of set (Betrayal at Cloud City could be considered another controversial design that works for me). It looks like those big cross-section MOCs, and I always love those. The interior is something which I think they got mostly perfect, and I agree with the designer that the interior should have been prioritized over the exterior. If I want a LEGO Death Star exterior to display, personally, I’d much rather have the Death Star II with the unfinished section looming. To me, that looks a lot cooler and more menacing, but it would detract from the interior if they were trying to do both. Also, if I want an exterior, I don’t necessarily need it to be this big. I would be fine with a cheaper, smaller grey sphere. The compromises in what is included I cannot defend. The lack of dual-molded legs and the abundance of stickers should not exist for this premium set. That being said, the upgraded minifigures look really good to me (minus the lack of dual-molding) and I also like all of the new ones. The Easter eggs and references are also great, especially the Andor build. Increasing the scale from my personal options to the general view, I completely understand why people would not be happy with the approach they took. For the first $1,000 flagship set, it should be a WOW! from everyone, which it is not, and that is a shame. It’ll be interesting to see how this set does when it’s released. Personally, though, I’m sold on this Death Star. All I need now is infinite money and space. -
We currently have one $100 Batmobile, two $60 Batmobiles, and one $20 4+ Batmobile on shelves. The older ones may be phased out for the new ones, but some stores I’ll see have recently older sets in addition to current sets. If these three $30 sets are all Batmobiles, seeing seven Batmobiles on shelves concurrently at all different prices would be wild.

Now with Jared Leto Joker, even though including Jared Leto in a Bat-themed set is obviously a Morbius reference.

In an interview about the game, one of the people working on it (the video didn’t say who he was), confirmed that Bat-Mite and Condiment King are in the game, Superman and Peacemaker are not, and a bunch of others got “no comment.” The best information, though, was that Bateman might be in it. We may get LEGO State Farm Jason Bateman (in a game, but still).
