Agreed. As much as I love new Spot and Spider-woman - red hulk is great. This is what I want from minifigures - variety, different prints, something fun in a cheaper set. Win. Having said that will be waiting for all of them to be discounted - just waiting on anti-venom. Iron man looks the same as the Ultron set yes?

Wait years for Charles and then two Xavier’s at once and both are average. I still will be getting the GWP though as it is a nice bonus.

Wolverine meme - check! While I would appreciate more printing/dual moulding I do like most of the minifigs (not you Wolverine). I think Charles not having green suit is an error but I can live with it. Different cyclops hair to x-jet. Iceman, gambit and bishop are my favourites. Agree with above excited for the Easter eggs including the dofp poster. Also clearly a nightcrawler poster on the wall further down. I have hope for my blue furry friend (not you Beast)

Gambit in the avengers mission demolition is fantastic. Shame we won’t get those legs but I will be certainly swapping the hair to match the trailer.

One more week (hopefully). I feel like a kid at Christmas - I’ve been waiting for Gambit and Prof X since I first picked up the wolverine, deadpool and magneto set in 2012 which was what got be back into my Lego obsession.

In the new Pharrell set with the mountain of heads there’s one head that is pretty perfect for Mirabel so that plus Bruno today makes it seem very likely we’re getting some more Encanto!

With the Thing following a very classic design I’m not sure I love the idea of the Thing being a standard minifigure. He’s not as large as the hulk so perhaps a bigfig is excessive. Hopefully they at least bulk him out a bit. Perhaps a Korg style headpiece.

Ah so solid torso like Orion. Interesting. Cant wait for the set to see what we end up with. Sentinel was the big win for me. Hopefully a gwp as well but I’m not full of hope. Not sure if it answers my own question above about whether we can expect more than 9 minifigures but just saw a post that said new rules for Lego ideas state “only one minifigure for every 325 parts at most” though I don’t know how hard and fast this rule is across Lego sets there’s obvious exceptions.

I’m very excited for more pics and finalised minifig list. I was hoping for transparent iceman but I wondered whether he would be completely white like in the portrait of the original 5 in Xavier’s office in xmen97.

I am mainly obsessed with minifigures but Thunderbolts wise I feel like I already have a lot of them. I would LOVE a Sentry minifigure but I’m concerned that Lego won’t produce the villain ala Guardians 3 or Ant-Man Q. I would also like Val and would take US Agent if his costume was changed more. Fantastic 4 wise I need all 4 of them and Galactus. Hopefully Doomsday and Secret Wars goes big on Lego sets and variety of minifigures. Very excited for X-Mansion. Primarily for Gambit minifigure. Do we think more than 9 minifigures? Also do we think iceman will be solid white or transparent more ice like pieces?

I think probably just wait and see how doomsday and secret wars turns out. Going Russo Bros and RDJ is a clear statement but as a minimum both those movies hopefully mean new minifigures and sets galore once the Disney marketing machine gets rolling. I’m assuming we don’t know when and how many F4 sets we’re getting but I’m really going to need the fantasticar and galactus! The main thing I’m excited for is some new marvel superheroes minifigures - substantially different variants or new characters. Spot and Anti-venom are a start. I’ve been collecting since the magneto, wolverine and deadpool chopper so I need some more variety and hopefully 2025-27 will give that. Finally intrigued by the rumour of the endgame battle with portals and a new iron spider minifigure as I always felt the mcu iron spider figure was lacking legs and head wise.

I like the line-up. I’ve resisted the urge to get the jet. Seems like the right decision. I wouldn’t mind classic magneto in red and purple in the mansion (even though I have the original) then I would only need to pick up the M with too long hair magneto from BrickLink. I really feel the mansion should include a sentinel or someone for the xmen to fight. However I would enjoy a large sentinel set in 2025. Excited for the mansion and hopeful for more new minifigures in 2025.

Significantly underwhelmed with the new sets. Very repetitive if you have the avengers tower or have been collecting for more than a couple of years. Milano is a cool large build but I personally don’t see the appeal when there were two other smaller versions. Minifig wise - Drax is ok and Potted Groot is cute. Star Lord is very meh - no mask. Surtur is the only set I will get when reduced I think. Possibly pick up the iron legion for my avengers tower. Overall very underwhelmed and hoping for some freshness going forward (not entirely legos fault with the current MCU slate being where it is). Roll on the X-Mansion.

DJ catnip, Babybox and Kittycorn(?) have leaked. Pleased to add a couple more cats but without pillowcat I can never be content. Surely I don’t have to now wait for 2025 for more sets… I can’t see the theme being that popular to hit a 3rd wave.

I just watched a new episode of Spidey and his amazing friends - Featuring Squirrel Girl. Would be great if she featured as a minifigure if there are to be sets again next year. Seems like only way we would get her anytime soon. Though the series also has Lockjaw who I doubt we would get sadly. I’m desperate for some more variety in marvel minifigures!

Yes I expect a lot of reuse - that’s one of the reasons why I haven’t gone to purchase it yet. There’s so many great minifigure options that hopefully we get over the coming years particularly if ‘97 is popular. For example I would love nightcrawler but I don’t think that’s likely for the mansion. Particularly if it’s only 10minifigs a lot of which will likely be characters we already have. Minimum I would settle for is a jubilee, gambit and Jean.

Wow episode 5 of X-Men ‘97. It nearly made me finally buckle and buy the X-Jet set but I’m still clinging on waiting on principle of the cost and waiting to know what (duplicate) minifigures come with the mansion. If there is no Gambit minifigure this year I will be very unhappy.

I agree. For the size and cost 10 feels low. I think 10 gives you Wolverine Cyclops Beast Storm Rogue Magneto Jean grey Professor X Gambit Jubilee That leaves out Morph and Bishop from the 97 main team. I can’t see how you can have the mansion without Xavier. If 10 is really it - I’m a bit disappointed. Other than new prints - morph and bishop are easy (no new parts). I also think you miss some fun opportunities for maybe the original 5 in original costume (iceman and angel) though I expect they will be included in the portrait in the professors office. Also so much room for fun mutants - I think frankly I’m a bit bored of the lack of new marvel minifigures so am desperate for them to go hard on mutants so I can keep my collection growing (god I want nightcrawler!) I think for cost and size 15 is fair but frankly that doesn’t matter. Have to see when we get closer to the time. Long old wait for a major leak I would guess.

I’ve just watched X-Men ‘97. Really enjoyed it. It got me very excited for an x-mansion. Not sure what we’re going to get in terms of minifigure numbers. So far we’ve had Wolverine, Beast, Storm, Magneto, Cyclops and Rogue. I would expect they will all repeat (perhaps one will remain Expensive-Jet exclusive). Once you start listing the rest of the core 97 cast - Jean, Prof X, Gambit, Jubilee, Morph, Bishop. It doesn’t leave many slots left for other villains or fan favourites. Not sure how many brand new print minifigures we would get compared with say the avengers tower. Mystique, Sabretooth were obviously in the survey version. Mr Sinister, Iceman, nightcrawler, sunspot, deadpool all make some degree of sense to include. In conclusion, I’m going to need more sets, more mutant minifigures and a sentinel the size of Voltron!

Surtur and new Iron Legion minifigures are the only thing that interests me, unless there’s some good new minifigs hiding.

Just seen set 60431. Feels like the green astronauts helmet could be an option for Kang in a different colour. Obviously not coming… at least any time soon.

I really like the Team Spidey Web spinner Headquarters. All new versions or new minifigures. Gold on spider characters looks great and gives some actual variation. Love Zola and his little robot. Great Iron Man variant. All very accurate to the show. This is what I want from Lego - lots of variations of minifigures so if I buy a new set I get new minifigs not constant repeats. Will be getting this set as soon as it’s reduced online as I’m sure it’s slightly over priced but I’m excited for Zola… a new marvel character! (Wipes tears from eyes). I also like the Electro in the smaller set. Will go nicely with the Doc Ock variant from a couple of years ago. I’ve been very critical of Lego marvel in last 12 months but this kind of set (fair enough it’s aimed at preschool/young kids) is exactly what I want for my kind of Lego collecting that’s very minifigure based. Also I bought the Avengers Tower on Black Friday… excited to build it at Christmas… even more excited for Zola to take control of it now ha!

I’ve been trying to get my head round my dislike for the rogue figures hair and trying to articulate how it should look. Gryffindorbrickkid on Instagram has done some designs and how he’s done Rogues hair for me is perfect. That’s what I wanted but didn’t realise until I saw it. Not sure if it would be possible to dual mould it like that but it would be such an upgrade. Either way - not a fan of the Rogue or Cyclops leaks. Will wait for x-mansion to see what’s included and if there’s any (unlikely) upgrades to them.
