  1. a drill bit in a pin vise and a very small file will also do it
  2. Very easy to modify yourselves, easy to remove tiebar, Dremel tool elongates hole to oval shape, a little sanding, reinstall and even better operation
  3. Had to try trix brix ballast plates since I had an extra the first of three pieces snapped on perfectly with no changes. So much for the good news. the second piece had to be chopped up a bit. Not only is the tie pattern different the divergent route is very different. Trix brix and brick tracks use more of a smooth curve while FX bricks eases in and out in the middle it is about 3/32 of an inch closer to the straight part the starting and ending points are the same but the route taken is different. I tried to post pictures but even though they were only 12 kb in size the site read them as over my 20 kb limit. I will try agan later
  4. Came today Toledo Ohio USA ordered on the first day we could order. They are amazing.
  5. Just ordered 4 pair of the turnouts and a box of the R-64s however the half straights in my cart were rejected as out of stock now I will have another shipping charge for a necessary part too bad they could not have been also preordered.
  6. They are what they are a value at any price because the only other option is scratch building if you are heavily invested in 9v. Higher price might stop some potential converts but the benefit of 9v is huge especially when the rest of the FX line becomes available.
  7. Just wondering, Michael since the base of the P40 turnout is known. Is there any chance the documentation for the ballasting could be posted. This would allow us to start collecting parts and do some preliminary work to get ready for the big day.
  8. My minifig scale Hogwarts castle based on universal theme park version
  9. I get a lot of ribbing from my lug, I build first then sometimes I BlueBrick after.
  10. I just finished reading all 20 pages posted so if my questions have already been answered I missed it. 1) does the P-40 turnout have the same footprint ( 3 connection points) as Bricktracks or Trix Bricks R-104s. Could I use them as place holders to develop my layout and 2) can the route through the turnout be changed by moving the points themselves instead of always using the tiebar moving the points with my finger from straight to diverging and back. I have 2 locations that the tiebar would be hard to reach.
