  1. I remember from somewhere, not sure if Lego, road signs pre 1968, & others after 1968 (& wondering what signs were in 1968? guess some of each) 'if only I'd seen the signs' ;) was there Lego halt signs? We now have stop signs.
  2. I've what I wanted...but I don't what it! Brick with 45°, good, but it is not Lego, bad. village church has 8-sided tower + steeple, so 45° corners, thinking 1:1 roof bricks on their side, but then stud on side/top, so 45° 1×1 + plate, but I've only a few of these. Then inverted, hole on side/bottom. Tower brick creation website gives how to use almost right 5,5,7 triangle & others to get 45°.
  3. I've 1, from Guarded Inn 6067, got all parts now but for the lady's torso (she's wearing nurse uniform at the moment), white with blue about neck & a red necklace.
  4. Just after 1958 (1st tubes) no pips. with end pips. Stud pips. cross-support on 2×3 & 2×4 as well as on larger, 2×2 get ridges like the others do. x×1's No pillars. Pillars & same cross-support. full depth cross-support, & 1×6 gets 1 instead of 2. Back to part depth, now on all pillars. 45° slope not get pillars till 1977. In 1986 still getting old light grey, & end pips on inverted sloping, but stud pips on normal sloping. Can't you sort your Lego by age, then make oldest set using oldest bricks?
  5. Both, I've re-built 315 European taxi, maybe used some bricks a little older, blocked way in as more 1×2 than 1×1, round 1×1 2 for 1 of 1×2 clear. As I remember it still has corner damage on roof plate.
  6. I've wheels, 4- & 12-stud, with grey tyre, & axle brick with red underside, can't see the Lego logo on their studs, then 4-stud with logo, 1-stud & spokes, 4-stud rail, Sealed motor wheels, Lego land 1-stud singles & doubles. Axle bricks with clear underside. Black tyres soft & harder. That = 6 types?
  7. I've built 1/2 the shop, the building with the row of windows with sloping above (ran out of windows). Is sloping above doors off centre?
  8. Should be 5/8" wide, in fact a little more 80/127" & as there be a 1/127" gap between bricks then = 79/127".
  9. Bought off eBay, 2kg for 99p 1st bid (+£5 p&p), just bid for 1 mare at same price, 1kg6, they saying 'some bricks old', 57 blue rails mix £4-40, 2×6 grey plate 8p each. Classic set £7 inc. p&p, no instructions, separater, box. There was 2×2 25 for £1-99, & 2×3 for £2-99 with 10% off a 2nd batch, gone up now, thinking that was the only sensible Lego on eBay, just under 2p per stud, but then 2×4 = 18p & not 16p. 2×2's & 2×4's up by £1(4p each), but 2×3's only up by 50p, so 100 with 20% off = less each than old price with like 5% off. Lowest price choice on eBay gives for 1 or 2 bricks, add 25, 50, 100 or kg to search helps find sensible price. Search by weight, 1kg = about 700 bricks (lb 317.5) Not found any Lego in charity shops now, & no longer compatible with in The Works, waiting for car boot sale Easter Monday. Thought I'd found a bargain, 2×6 5 for 99p, & 20% off in £10+, but = price of 1 sample, really £2-99.
  10. I read some where that Lego feared choking, so change to hollow, but then saw it was not a problem so stopped doing so. Guess indent still lets you... or the minifiguer ware a 1×2 brick central.
  11. 1. Old, don't hold together well. 2. Not Lego 3. 1×1's full & slim 4. Slim 5. Sloping 45° 6. Other sloping 7. Then colours, original yellow, red, blue, B&W, then other colours, & mix of grey.
  12. Fullbrick hight 6 Cheese wedge 4 but only 3 sloping Using SNOT Normal + stud on side Next 1 down normal with slimbrick Then headlight brick Down 1 HL+slim down HL +2 slim & Back again to normal 20 17 14 11 8 5 If height of cheese wedge = 1 then its slope = 2 & length = square root of 3 (3\5 power 2 = 9/25 = 2 short of 27 to = 3. They = 1/2 of triangle with 3 = sides & angle, so if side = 2 then 1/2 a side = 1, & 1/2 of 60° = 30°. See towering brick creations for how to do 1/2 slimbrick for cheese wedge, alternative normal & headlights + slim then 1×1's up to them.
  13. It's a yes from me, although bricks = 6 high & 5 wide there be 1 more below than over on brick right way up. (Measures just under 1/16 inch, 8/127) Other ways, stud into tube of 2×x brick. Round 1×1 between studs. On top of 1/2 round 2×2. Use 1×2 tile with 1 stud. also same but 1×3 & 2×2 Some bricks, 1×2×5, & some tiles +1 stud let 1/2 under. O! Lengths not =, is this what you mean? The holes = midway between studs 2•5 + 2 bricks on their side = 4•5 instead of 5. Guess for circuit track. See towerbrickcreations website for 1/2 plate offset.
