Mixing-up large parts collection (new/used, diff era)
AndrewH7 replied to principalbricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So sort by age, end pips, stud pips then with cross support on 2×3&4. Some cross support no bars, + bars, full depth cross support, back to not full now on all bars (apart from 1×8, but still differ) for ×1's. -
Yes, dream of new Lego part...well in bed with eyes closed. I used 18650 recharge battery, could cover it with Lego bricks, as wider than ×2 brick becomes ×5 wide, can use panels to get ×4 wide, likewise with the ends. So need new bricks to fit gap in corners.

I've a few having end pips, can't say if made sans bars, or they broke off? End pips & bars both started in 1963 (longer 1969 & slope 1977) (trans' & with notch for wire made later). So are 1×2's end pips & no bars very rare? Just check, I've 3 of each, broken off bar & with N°. Wonder if Lego used the same moulds changed to having end pips instead of on a corner? I'd not considered end pips to be an improvement.

Bought 450 pcs Buildin' Blocks in town £6. Only average 2 1/3 stud/brick. eBay, 660 for £7, includes plate & slope, 2×4 plate not holding atop, 2×4 brick bow in when on bottom, both cases can use 2 bricks instead of 1. Not all sizes in each colour, so only red useful. If 2 plate = 1 brick then average 2 1/2 stud/brick. Webrick, 500, 2•9 average stud/brick, but mostly 1 size/colour. 1000 has more colours. Thinking better = 1st, Buildin' Blocks if 1000 for £12, & not really matter if can't use all 1×1's. Need to ask them to get for me as none in shop, only on website.

Bought Klip of Italy set 1/2 price bit missing in town. Now buy off eBay, at 1st what I though = Lego, then some says has others. Now 1kg unbranded compatible, bag of Mega Blocks micro & maxi compatible, like basic set of 6 sizes. Given away Montini & 2-tall plate. Sometimes build something from non Lego. Did use a mix when short. Bought 450 pieces in town, = 6 sizes brick, only average 2 1/3 studs/brick when 2 2/3 if = studs/size, but at £6 still good value, also 32×32 base plate for £2.

Let's revolutionize mosaic software!
AndrewH7 replied to Lasse D's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I'd like to build Coca-Cola lorry, but simple (no motor, steering). Built a striped & letter bricks lorry, & part of mosaics from Ideas Book N°3. I started on Santa Claus, your sans background. Only come back to Lego year ago. Looking at sometime to build mosaic of canal boat, can just lay bricks atop tapestry? -
Not found any on Amazon, but there = some on eBay. There be Nanoblock & Nano Megablock, search comes up with both, 1st = 4mm, & I believe 2nd to be 5mm. I've some Modulex Lego & guess the same. If they be compatible I'd like to build Modulex car onto Nano Mega Blocks car base, as Modulex sans wheels.

Suggestions for price-per-kilogram when selling in bulk
AndrewH7 replied to AnalogPanda's topic in Community
I've been looking on eBay for about 1 year for Lego. Sill not sure fare price. WeBuyGames offer £5/kg, hope to get £10/kg selling to individual? (£=UKoGB&NI money). I buy cheaper, sometimes with other brand: 1/2kg £3-95 1•6kg £5-50 1•7kg £5 2kg £0-99 5kg £3-60 5kg £35 6kg £42 -
Bought 5kg mix for £35 on eBay, just 2 miles away so pick up there. Tan castle turret & 1/4 round, = Harry Potter Castle, 1 just sold for £70. Bought castle, 3 bricks wrong colour, already 2, now I've the 3rd. So tan & brown, colour was short of. Black 1×2 plate, after some, seams sellers only have a few each.

I've some plate with square on underside, built a trailer, =d bricks around the edge, & left on top of freezer where there is window in roof. Found it went whiter, & yellow bricks faded. So how to get them yellow again, more sun'll make them white?

Found some Modulex on eBay, wasn't named as such, bought it, 750g. I've built pumpkin as on mini bricks madness, & now built my own steam engine, it = 7 studs wide, a little wider than normal 4 studs. Other on eBay, Denmark & UK of GB&NI. I've ~=450 1×4's & short of some other bricks. Bought 2nd batch of 600g, still short of some sizes in colours. Check Bricklink.

Old School Lego Castle (lego designed and MOC)
AndrewH7 replied to jan kusters's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Download Idea N°1, (I've N°2 & N°3), see that blue castle & wondering what bricks needed, I see there be less roof at rear than at front, is it steeper there?
