Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Masta' Blasta' replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Go look at another reference image, the suit isn't flat tan, it is just a light gold. That's why I prefer their use of a metallic color over tan. Light pearl gold might be a better choice though, as it is much lighter. Edit: Okay, I missed the last part of your post. However, you have to remember that licensed sets and figures have to be reviewed by the owners before they make it onto the market-- so what you see is how Marvel wanted it. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I'm glad they chose to use gold rather than tan as it would lack the metallic sheen Iron Man is known for. He is Iron Man, after all. Having a flat red is bad enough, but the entire figure lacking some sort of metallization would look weird, honestly. Also, I agree with the prototype theory, as there were a few busts designed with the normal gold and silver. -

Looks like we're getting a new face print with the XLII armor. These alternate images were just uploaded to Brickipedia: I'm fine with the scared expression, but the confident one doesn't really scream RDJ. -
LDD 5, what features do YOU want?
Masta' Blasta' replied to BasOne's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
There was recently a Pick a Brick update. Could this possibly indicate a LDD update coming soon? Edit: The part of this post I deleted probably didn't make since before. What I want is a tool in view mode that will create a selection (Like in build mode), but zooms in on that area, like a cropping tool. -

I'm not sure why people want boots on their minifigures, considering the way LEGO handles printing like that. If they could improve their methods, boots would be fine with me, but I'd rather not have them for the time being. -
Apparently Peter Parker isn't dead.. I knew that body swap plot wouldn't last for long.

I used trans-orange, so that's somewhat of a relief. -

Oh man, that's good stuff right there. Let's hope for a good Iron Patriot variant, too. -

Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
Masta' Blasta' replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
You are already Spider-Man, why worry about being the LEGO version? Jokes aside, this game looks amazing. Hopefully it will produce some new characters and models that we will see in the future, like the Batman game did. I am so excited, but I doubt I'll be able to get it without buying a whole new console-- Edit: Cave Troll in Harry Potter? Perhaps he meant LotR. -

Could someone explain what my settings should be set to for best transparency results? My first attempt ended with normal-looking LDD transparency and the second made it solid. The renders were great, but the transparency was plain out awkward. -
Your purist figures are amazing, ReZourceman. I especially like how you did the Vulture's wings, though it would be awesome if the new wings included in Chima were somehow produced in green. Parrot tribe, anyone? Edit: Glaring omissions? Perhaps a Kaine figure would be nice addition, or maybe even a Ms. Marvel figure.

NRG Kai is a Ninjago figure, which I believe is exclusive to a Spinner set.

WIP Custom Doctor Octopus Minifigure
Masta' Blasta' replied to Climperoonie's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Excellent! The torso looks great in green and the figure definitely fits the source material you provided. I would suggest bricklinking some grey parts for the tentacles, because the black ones seem out of place. The claws even come in light grey, if you desire them. -

It doesn't really bother me when in building mode, only when I'm sharing it... because the model loses that sleek look found in LEGO bricks. -

All interesting points. It would be nice if the added these to the palette, actually. A recently used colors option in the palette would also be great if added, I would definitely use it and it could even help with my issue. If anything is added to the palette, hopefully it will get a scroll bar as well! -

That is why I don't really care for it.. in reality it is hard to differentiate pieces of the same color unless you look closely. That is why I prefer the outlines to be off, especially when taking screenshots of the model. It would be nice if they would add an option to change the opacity of the outline, similar to the options for the shading level. -

Why is the brick outlines option so commonly used? I never really cared for it, myself. One thing I would really like is an approximate time for the next update. Perhaps that would be best suited for LDD's website rather than the program itself. Speaking of updates, I feel like one may be coming soon. It is the start of a new year and there are so many new parts to be added! Hopefully they can find some time to add a few. -
Where to start.. where to start.. Really, I'd like the addition of a few MARVEL Super Heroes parts, which LDD seems to be lacking. http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=10907 http://www.bricklink...asp?P=10908pb01 - Without decal (?) application. It might be nice to color different parts of this. http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=10187 http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=10154 http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=10124 http://www.bricklink...asp?P=10121pb01 - It would be nice to be able to color multiple parts of this and maybe even the addition of the face printing. http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=10127 - Since the similarity to the giant troll hands, I don't mind if this is left out. As long as they are compatible with the Hulk's arms, that is. http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=10126 - The same as the previous. http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=10909 http://www.bricklink...asp?P=10305pb01 - It would be nice if part of this were able to be colored differently. http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=75904 I'd also like a few other minifigure parts and accessories. http://www.bricklink...asp?P=72326pb01 http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=11010 http://www.bricklink...p?P=973pb630c99 http://www.bricklink...sp?P=970c99pb01 http://www.bricklink...em.asp?P=970d15 And maybe some Hero Factory parts, too. http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=87802 http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=87817 http://www.bricklink...asp?P=98588pb01 http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=98592 http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=98593 http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=98596 http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=98604 I suppose that is it. I didn't want the list to be too lengthy and I'm sure plenty of these have already been requested prior to this post.

LDD 5, what features do YOU want?

There are various colors which are not available to the palette, including several that don't even have a definite name, like "??Material8??" which is a violet color. Aanchir has an LXF file of these posted on the LDD Reference thread. -

Masta' Blasta' replied to BasOne's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Firstly, I'd really like to have the paint tool for multiple selections put back to the way it was before. I know how to get around it, but it is now impossible to recolor multiple parts in colors currently unavailable in the palette. Is this a bug or an edit to the program? Either way, I'd like it to be how it was previously, because it was more handy. I don't see many pros to the new change, honestly. Also, I'd really enjoy it if you could redo selections in case you fumble and click somewhere that will screw the entire thing up. This is something I'd really appreciate when working with large models that cause lag-- selections can be a huge pain in those cases. -
Oops, didn't see you say that it is still in LDD Mode. Do you have any idea why they were removed? I find it hard to believe they would have to remove prints due to license agreements, when they still have iconic stuff such as the Wampa, Yoda's head and Vader's helmet and plenty more. Okay, I just checked Yoda and there is some sort of glitch occurring. I can color the hair separately, but certain colors won't go together. For instance, I can color the hair light stone grey and the head olive green just fine, but certain combinations won't work. Sand green with white hair works, but it won't work if I make the hair light stone grey. I've noticed this occur on other pieces, but this one stands out. I guess I never really tried Yoda's head, but I thought I had. Perhaps I had just forgot.
